Checked out this location even though it was dad for us with one down the street in Chesapeake. We went there because I wanted to try their mochi donuts. Definitely pleased with the donuts! Consistency was better than another location in Hampton roads that sells mochi donuts. Our favorite was the cookies and cream. A must try when they're made fresh. Worth the wait. We also ordered shrimp tempura, garlic soy wings, side of fries, and ramen. Everything was pretty was good. We'd decided come back, just wash it was closer. Downside was the lack of AC, but cooled off shortly after sitting and waiting with the gas blowing at us. The poster outside says free mochi donuts not donut, but doesn't say how many and making it plural three people off.

Very good! Basically waited on myself so I can't say much about the service. Quality was good but it was expensive.

Basic poke bowl, ordered via delivery. Standard list of toppings that you'll find in most places. Ingredients were all fresh and the bowl was filling. I had asked for light sauce, but it came with a LOT of sauce- and it was much sweeter than I expected. Would def ask for it on the side next time.

Super glad they brought these Mochi Donuts to VB. Ordered the spicy Korean Style Wings and Chicken Brother Ramen Noodle Soup. Both okay. Wings are smaller compared to the other Domoishis I've tried. And Ramen was alright. The Mochi Donuts were delicious.

This fast asian-casual spot is a great spot to grab and go a quick meal. The unique thing about this domoishi compared to other locations, is that they offer MOCHI DONUTS! This is the only spot in Virginia Beach that has mochi donuts that I've come across. If you don't know what mochi donuts are, they're basically chewy Japanese mochi in the form of American donuts. The mochi donuts come in six flavors: strawberry, ube, nutella/chocolate, plain, matcha, and oreo. They are my FAVORITE!! They also offer unique asian street food, such as the beef bulgolgi bun. THIS BUN WAS PERFECTION. It was so soft and fluffy, and it exceeded my expectations! I'm still craving it right now. It had a perfect amount of sweetness. The ramen bowls are good for if you want a quick lunch! The chashu pork was cooked amazingly and flavorful. Poke bowls were really fresh and filled to the top! It had a good amount of sauce and is better than average. Their drinks and boba came in generous amounts for such a cheap price. The cups are HUGE! Last but not least, the korean fried chicken wings (soy garlic) are some of my favorite asian wings in the area. If you like asian style wings like me, this is for you. The people working there were so nice and genuinely care about their customers. They are offering a special deal right now: free mochi donut if you order over $20. The environment was very cozy and has a cute interior. I love the convenience of the ordering from the kiosk. Food came out fast.

I wanted to try everything here (except for the boba). So with my family of four, I was able to achieve that goal. My wife got the poke bowl, my kids got ramen, and I got the soy garlic wings. I am a big fan of Korean fried chicken, so it's one of my go-to foods whenever we travel. Sauce was a little messy, flavor was good, chicken wings were decent size. I like poke a lot, but admittedly, I'm a little inexperienced about it. I usually get mine from Poke Bros. and use a lot of gochujang (Korean red pepper paste). Not available on their menu, so she chose a house light sauce. Very good, despite being absent of my favorite sauce. Ramen flavor was good...mild and not too strong. We got the shoyu broth. Eggs were cooked very well. What really impressed me was the packaging (which I actually don't think is necessary to go to such great lengths). The ramen in particular was very thoughtfully prepared. The noodles and other ingredients were placed in a plastic steamer bowl (think Healthy Choice microwaveables), and the broth were housed in a bigger bowl underneath. The go-to bags are sturdy and reusable tote bags. Lastly, I have a picky wife and she said that this was the best meal we had during our VA Beach trip.

Domoishi is the latest fast casual Asian chain. The pros: fast service, food Was ready in less than 10 minutes. good food, boba tea, cute decor. Reusable bag instead disposable for take out! Recycling bins for plastic and paper! OK: choices are poke, ramen and wings. Choices of bases and proteins with tofu for vegetarian. The not so good: handmade signs telling you extra toppings are $1 or more than one scoop will be extra $. Boba menu is short and has a dozen or so drink choices. I liked the pictures showing the drinks but my drink didn't resemble the picture but it did taste good! I was a cool dinner !

Dec 2019. How are the soy garlic wings? Have they returned to their former glory?

How are the wings? Compare to Bonchon?

They're actually pretty delicious! I love the spicy! I ordered half and half (they charge you a little extra for half and half which meh!) but they're very yummy! I won't lie I preferred Bonchon, but this is a cheaper and yummy alternative. I'd go… Read more

I ordered the spicy umami miso ramen with tofu, karaage, and a soft-boiled egg, and it was absolutely delicious--rich, comforting, and full of flavor. I'll admit I went a little overboard with the add-ons, but I was just too excited and couldn't resist. It's a hidden gem tucked into a shopping center and easy to miss from the main road, but there's plenty of parking and once you're inside it's much more spacious than it looks. The staff were friendly, service was quick, and everything came out fresh. Prices were very reasonable too, especially for the portion sizes and quality. There's also a wide menu beyond ramen, so I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more. Before leaving, I grabbed a brown sugar boba milk tea too. I was already full, so I saved it for later--but even then, it was still really good. Overall, a great first experience--I'll definitely be returning!

When we got there, at lunchtime on a weekday, they were packed, but there were a few seats open at a hightop, which we took. Service was great and attentive, as well as helpful as she offered great suggestions and explained how various dishes were made. I tried a cup of their red bean and ham soup (it was the soup du jour) as well as their open face chicken salad sandwich and both were very good. They were both made fresh, in-house with fresh ingredients. Flavors were great too. I really liked the touch of having Dijon mustard on the chicken salad sandwich. There were so many great things on the menu that I would definitely return and try more!

I'm a chef myself and travel to different restaurants regularly, so I try to be understanding. That said, the service we experienced yesterday at Stock Pot was unfortunately some of the worst I've had in quite a while. We sat outside, and it honestly felt like we were being deliberately ignored. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet we had to wait long stretches just to get basic things. At one point near the end of our meal, we asked for a box and our check. Instead of bringing it over, the waitresses stood around talking with other waitresses, while we continued to wait. After sitting there for quite a while, we eventually had to ask for the check and box, a second time. Throughout the meal the service was inconsistent. We had three different waitresses checking on us, but were left to sit for about 30 minutes alone at one point, and it took almost 20 to have our order taken, once we ordered, we had to request our appetizer again, after waiting another 20 or so minutes. Upon asking, again, we found out they were out of part of the appetizer we ordered. After that it came out quick. The food, however, was excellent and definitely the highlight of the experience. That's why this review is disappointing to write -- the kitchen is clearly doing a great job. I just hope the service side improves, because it didn't match the quality of the food.

I had the Ebi (shrimp) curry ramen. The curry was very flavorful but different than both Jamaican and Indian curries. I don't like that they keep the tails on the shrimp even though it's in the ramen. I also had salmon rice balls as well as Shumai. The shumai was good and so were the rice balls, but never having had rice balls, they weren't what I was expecting. I expected them to have meat in them but it was just rice with salmon flavored powder. We also added hot green tea to our meal. While not anything special, I do like to end my meal this way. The service was pretty good but we didn't like that our waitress stood next to our table from the moment we sat down. We felt pressured to hurry up and order, and it just made things awkward. She was very attentive though. This restaurant is your typical local Japanese style restaurant. Very authentic in its feel and decor - nothing fancy, basic service. But if you like more authentic type dishes vs chain restaurants, I think this is a place to try! Oh, I will also add this place was alot less expensive than places like Domoishi! I give it a 3 star because I feel neutral about it - not because anything was super wrong about it!
