I got food poisoning from the poke bowl. The worst I have ever felt in 30 years. I got the tuna and the salmon with spring mix. Never again

Often, in the middle of the week, you get home from work only to find that nothing has been defrosted to cook for dinner, and you don't want any leftovers or just don't feel like cooking, Then, you know what time it is. Time to order out! This time my Grubbing Buddy and I remembered a local Asian fast food place not too far from us called DOMOISHI. We enjoyed the food's taste, and the waitstaff was extremely helpful. (I asked for a cup of ice and then spilled it over the counter, and the cashier smiled and gave me another cup with a lid.) Domoishi serves Asian ramen bowls, assorted tasty chicken wings, Poke bowls and various other appetizers. The amount you get in your order is huge. How they are able to put so much in your overstuffed, well-packed to-go order is incredible. And, the food tastes great! Ordered spicy chicken ramen. Service was great as this was my first time and the cashier was very patient with me as I asked plenty of questions. Also ordered dumplings which were very tasty for a fast food ramen spot. My order took about 8-10 minutes and was very hot and fresh. Ambiance was okay, smaller tables filled in an overall small space: probably best to pick up and enjoy at home. Overall, good option for a quick meal. read more

Two words: Muddy Mango. Get you one! I waited on this place to open for more than a year. They opened during covid with an online ordering and no contact pick up option that's very convenient. Every food order comes in a super cute bag too. They place the online orders in tagged bags on a table and you literally walk in, pick your bag up and leave. On my first visit, in February, I tried the ramen. Fail. The noodles were dry and stiff, the "chicken" rubbery, tough, and flavorless. Everything in this bowl was flavorless except the little surimi bites. So why have I been back several time? Muddy. Mango. I've had 3 or 4 of these, and they are AMAZING. On one of those visits I tried the wings - half spicy, half regular. OMG. Best wings ever. Perfect spice level, perfect crunch. The pic is of an all spicy batch I ordered on March 27. It doesn't show the true level of crunch, because as you can see from the condensation in the box, I opened the box & took the pic about an hour after picking them up. Our family had a great first experience! Our favorite appetizers were the tempura shrimp, shumai, bulgogi bun, and the chicken wings!!!! The kids loved the ramen and curry bowls! My first time dining at this place and the customer service is awful. They originally said it would take 7-10 minutes for my order to be ready and it took 20. Once my food was ready, a worker whistled at me like I was a dog. When I asked who whistled at me, the older guy shrugged his shoulders although he was the one who whistled. I've ordered twice from them before: both times it's been the seafood ramen with pork broth and a tea. I love to eat ramen and I love l LOVE the way they package it for Grubhub. I order it to be delivered to my job so I don't like fussing with multiple little containers of different ingredients for them to just go in the same bowl as it takes away from eating time to prepare the ramen to be eaten lol. I get the pork base, it could use a little more seasoning but they include chili oil for free for me since I like a little kick in it. No matter when I order it, it always gets to me hot. And I ADORE the little to-go bags. Not only are they cute but they're reusable and eco friendly. The first time I ordered from here was also my first time ordering boba tea: I got the matcha. I was very disappointed. I couldn't get rid of the powdery consistency, and it didn't have any taste to it. I was sad to have spent almost $6 on a drink full of powder when I couldve just gotten a soft drink. Now, this could be the way that this tea is supposed to be prepared, with just a heap of powder on top; so I won't hold that solely against them. It was just very hard to finish since every sip came with a mouthful of powder. I've since drank boba tea elsewhere and have figured out somewhat what works for me. Today I ordered from them a second time and got the jasmine green milk tea instead. I appreciated it quite a bit more, unfortunately this one also just didn't have much taste to it at all. I think the tea base they use needs to be stronger because it just tastes like milk and boba to me. I plan on ordering one of their fruit drinks the next time instead. Overall, I love their ramen and by itself it deserves 5 stars which is why they've got a long-time customer in me. The food is fresh, delicious and quickly and neatly prepared for to-go orders. But if you're looking to try boba tea for the first time, maybe save the milk based tea experience for somewhere else. read more

My boyfriend and I have been looking for a really good Poke spot on this side of the water. We're obsessed with a joint in Chesapeake and hadn't found anyone to compare with quality, taste and cost. We went last week and both got poke bowls and tried other the crab Rangoon. It was super busy, but it was Saturday. I guess that can be expected. There was a ton of people waiting on their orders inside.. so if you're not into being less than 6feet from anyone, you might want to send someone else to pick up. We did like how they had the option to order on the app and get a discount. I think it knocked $3 off our total when we did it that way. BUT if you choose to walk in, ordering was done on a kiosk and then you just wait around for your order to come up. It kinda sucked that there was no type of push notification that we knew of that would tell us when our order was ready. Anyways, the place was clean, the food portion was great, ingredients were fresh. I cannot complain. We both loved our poke bowls. The only complaint I had was that there wasn't enough sauce on my bowl. But that's a minimal issue that is easily solved. We will Definitely be repeat customers. I highly recommend! read more

I've ordered twice and had a very different experiences. The first time, I got curry and steamed buns and really liked them. The second time, I got the takoyaki and miso ramen. I was very disappointed in both. The takoyaki sauce and toppings were great, but the dough was so undercooked that the batter was warm but still liquid in the middle. The miso ramen was another disappointment. The broth was so underseasoned that I couldn't even taste the miso. I hope that this is just a new restaurant working out the kinks, or perhaps the staff is undertrained and will become better with more experience.
