The Snow Girl Roll was top tier. However, the miso soup was disappointing, and the service from the older gentleman made me feel unwanted. While I was being asked, he kept pushing for my order to be taken to-go. One of the women employees kindly asked if my food was to-go, and he responded, "Yes, to-go," as if I wasn't welcome to eat there. The two women were very kind, and the sushi was great, but because of how I was treated by him, I will not be returning. read more

Ordered takeout and glad to say we found our new sushi spot! It was absolutely delicious and so fresh tasting. I personally think they have done a disservice to the Lemon Drop Roll by not stating on the menu that it's torched, torched rolls are always the best!! Our entire order was beautifully displayed, as well. Quick service and friendly staff at pickup. Can't wait to order again and try more off the menu! read more

The soy sauce at this place is LIFE changing. I wish I could buy a bottle for myself. The sushi and sashimi were so fresh and came so quickly. We weren't expecting a bridge or a boat but they presented it so nicely too. We know great presentation means it'll taste even more delicious. The ambiance was so relaxing and aesthetically pleasing to the eye I loved the fairy lights. The staff were very friendly which was the cherry on top I would definitely come back! read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Toro Sushi. The sushi was high quality, the service was attentive, and the restaurant featured a clean, beautifully decorated ambiance. The lunch special offered excellent value, and we were pleasantly surprised when it was presented in a sushi boat with fresh flowers and dry ice. Our food arrived promptly, and the service was exceptional, with staff regularly checking in on us throughout the meal. We highly recommend the spicy snow crab roll and look forward to returning. read more

Absolutely loved this sushi spot! The inside is so cute and you can really tell they put a lot of thought and effort into all the little details. The sushi was amazing and the prices were surprisingly good for the experience you get. My boyfriend and I ordered four rolls, and they brought everything out on an actual sushi boat, which was a fun surprise. The staff was also so sweet and welcoming. Between the atmosphere, the food, the service, and the prices, this place really exceeded my expectations. We'll definitely be back! read more

This place popped up as a new sushi option in Door Dash -- so I guess they replaced the previous sushi place that was in this location? Either way, I figured I'd give it a shot since I was craving sushi. I ordered miso soup, salmon and tuna nigiri, the fancy roll (shrimp tempura, mango, cucumber and lobster), and the salmon avocado roll. I'll do a quick rundown of each -- The miso soup was delicious - very flavorful and packed with tofu. The salmon nigiri was good, the white tuna was off. I expect white tuna to melt in your mouth like salmon, but this was chewy. Tasted like perhaps a different fish. The fancy roll was YUM! Great combination of flavors that popped in your mouth. The salmon avocado was just kind of eh. I'm not sure why the flavors were weird, but the texture combination wasn't on point. So, overall, my meal was hit or miss. And perhaps the most frustrating -- it was delivered with no wasabi, fresh ginger or chopsticks. I expect these side items as standard for a sushi order, so I was really surprised when I didn't get any of them. I'm not sorry I tried them because that miso was baller -- but I'll likely order from other places where the flavors and service are more consistent across the board. read more

Ordered takeout. Very good. Fast delivery and everything was excellent! Definitely recommend!

This place is located in a strip mall over by the coliseum. Lots of options to eat around here. I was in the mood for sushi so decided to give this place a try. There were a few of us in there for lunch. The lunch menu consists of some bento boxes, and sushi. I went with the two rolls. There weren't a lot of options for the two rolls because most of them were actually vegetarian. So if you're a vegetarian, this is a good place for you! Presentation was really cool! Kind of hard to eat though because I am left-handed but it looks super cool so no complaints! The food came out pretty quick. It was pretty tasty! You can pay at the table using a QR code or she will take your credit card. Not a bad place! read more

The service is not welcoming at all! We spent $47 and couldn't have a cup or glass of water while we waited for our order. Only bottled water to purchase was offered. Then we received very little wasabi and NO ginger. We will not return or recommend this place. There are many others to choose from! I would give zero stars if possible! read more

Toro Sushi is hands down my favorite sushi spot in Hampton. From the outside, you'd never guess this place is such a hidden gem, but once you step in, you're pleasantly surprised. The sushi is consistently fresh and delicious, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing and welcoming. In town for a work "training" the next two days and wanted a light- peaceful evening. Debated just staying in and I'm so glad I came out. Recommended by a colleague, the moment I walked in I was taken by the ambiance. The music, birds chirping, warmth of the wood, and quiet vibe of the place. This was supposed to happen. I ordered a calif roll (just in case the other was not good) and a fried one. As im waiting/ sipping on my Pinot noir... I can feel the tension reduce in my mind- in my shoulders. The plate arrives with a STUNNING presentation for just two rolls. The individuals working here have set a scene that made for the absolute best EXPERIENCE I have had in a long time. For the experience- the cleanliness, music, warmth, freshness of ingredients, cold thing cold- hot things hot, and the kindness they showed each table in here... they should charge WAY MORE! So affordable and such a great experience. THANK YOU! read more

Great restaurant! Large number of options of sushi rolls that are well presented. Service was quick to provide menus, drinks, and gave a good suggestion for an appetizer. We split the Gyoza and house salad for a starter. Gyoza was great. House salad was small, but dressing was very good. Had 6 rolls for our entree (we indulged!). Spider, ichiban, spicy white tuna, salmon, volcano, and cucumber. All were delicious. The only downside to the restaurant is there are not many other options besides sushi - def not a good place for non-sushi lovers. read more

Although I was initially impressed by their presentation with the sushi boat and foggy effects from the dry ice, I was quite miffed that my Yum Yum Roll didn't have king crab as advertised in the menu. Instead it was imitation krab! The tempura oyster roll was good and I should have stuck with the more simpler rolls. read more

We ate here yesterday. The service was AMAZING and the restaurant was very clean! However, their menu lists "snow crab" or "king crab" for several rolls but it is only imitation crab. I asked and was told they ONLY serve imitation crab and list imitation crab as "snow crab" because it is white. Imitation crab is basically a minced white fish like Pollock and starch. read more

I've been here a few times before and felt welcome. I came today 5/29 at 7:50PM with my fiancé and twins. I was told we could only sit at the sushi bar with 3 chairs. When I asked can we sit in one of the 5 open booths I was told no we have plenty of reservations and she just walked away. She was very rude and I felt like my family was not welcome. Very upset I have given them money before with the way my family was treated today. read more

I was at a nearby conference and wanted something healthy for dinner. I walked in to a beautifully decorated restaurant, complete with a blooming silk cherry tree. It was such a wonderful experience, I went there the next day also and am currently trying to decide about going again tonight!! The first day I had ebi (shrimp) sushi and a special maki roll with tempura shrimp, avocado, cucumber, spicy mayo and eel sauce on top. It was delivered to my table on a tiered wooden serving dish with cherry blossoms and an urn with billowing clouds of what I'm assuming was dry ice. It was lovely and so delicious. The second night I had a California roll and 2 pieces each of ebi and tuna sushi. All fantastic and served on a platter with what I think was a banana leaf and a pink carnation, which is brightening up my hotel room now. It also had a dish with billows of cold steam. The restaurant plays quiet instrumental cello music (some were hymns but not all) which is very calming. An absolutely lovely experience each time. Edit: I did go back for the third night. Nothing else sounded as good. It was delicious and beautiful also. read more

The food was amazing, and came out really fast. My only issue was the customer service, the lady that served us was rude and had such a bad attitude, and when it came to pay, she told us that we had to tip for service for the other lady.. and there was no custom tip; the tips range from 15-25%. Besides that the other lady was very nice and polite, and the ambiance of the restaurant is very beautiful and welcoming. read more

I cannot recommend this place enough! Food: the sushi is just plain excellent. Super high quality served with great presentation and at an excellent price. Stopped here on a recommendation and ordered three different, separate rolls totaling eighteen pieces. The bag was stapled so I did not think anything of it. But once we got home, for my meal I had No soy sauce, No ginger, No wasabi, AND No chopsticks to enjoy it. I called to let them know and only got a "sorry thank you for letting us know." No. You. Knew. This to me is poor customer service. read more

Upfront I want you to remember this place is totally new, the ambience and decor is neat, traditional and quaint. I have eaten sushi at many places around the country so I feel like I know a little about it. The freshness of my sushi from Toro Sushi was impeccable. But you're paying for that freshness as well. I would like to see a better presentation of the sushi itself meaning more sauce maybe some smelt roe, something for the amount of money we paid for 2 rolls that were not that big. I'm thinking they're just trying to get their capital built up and hopefully they lower their price a little bit in the future. Starting a new business is tough in today's economy, I take that into consideration. I will be eating here again because the food was tasty and fresh and sometimes it's worth a few more bucks to get that. I feel confident giving Toro Sushi those few extra bucks. They definitely know what they're doing. I had no idea what I wanted at first because they had a great selection of choices and the lady that took my order was kind and patient with me. Thank you for a great meal Toro Sushi!! read more

Really good sushi. The service was good, although I didn't interact much because I called in the order. But they were nice. I think the only downside is that when you're ordering on the menu online, it doesn't tell you what is actually in the roll except for specific roll. It's a cute little place over all and I'll keep going back. read more
