What I appreciate about this place is the peaceful ambiance, cleanliness, and excellent service. The sushi boat is significantly better than most offerings in the Yorktown area. The sushi rice and portion sizes were just right. The shrimp pad Thai featured wonderful flavors, and the plate presentation was simple and clean. We ordered a duck dish, but it was quite disappointing. It had a livery taste, which I believe can happen if it's overcooked. I wouldn't recommend ordering any duck dishes in the future. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gym. It is tucked into the corner of a shopping center on the border of Hampton and Yorktown. It is fairly small inside, but I'm sure it's not ever extremely packed, but if so, you can always get your food to go. During my time there, there were many take out orders so I'd assume they are fairly quick with them. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and the food came out quick. The food was all 10/10. The rolls they give you are more than enough for one person. The servings sizes of the other entrees are good as well. Please note that if it says spicy, it is definitely spicy lol. On the jaguar roll, the cream cheese throws me off slightly. However, it's not bad. I will definitely be back. read more

Sophia and I joined up with some friends for dinner recently. This is actually the 2nd time we dined here but that was probably 5 years ago where everyone enjoyed their meal. Would this return result in great times? Before the date, I placed a reservation for 6, which was a great call. The space is kind of small with a few tables and a sushi bar. After we got settled, we placed our order. I selected chicken Yakisoba w/miso soup. The food was really good. It has been a minute since I had Yakisoba and once I started eating, it brought back great times. They had enough protein and veggies to get yours truly filled up. And the noodles were nicely cooked and full of flavor. What did our friends think of their food? Thumbs up!! And the servers were very helpful and even prepared our dishes to our liking. This is a solid 3 star restaurant and even closer to a 3.5! First time here and did a pickup order of chicken drunken noodles. Not the best drunken noodles I have had, lacked the sauciness I prefer and did not have the wide noodles. They did honor my request to leave off the tomatoes. It did have zucchini in it, which was not stated on the menu, but maybe added it because I asked for no tomatoes. I know some people are not the biggest fans of zucchini, so just beware! Entrees come with a choice of soup or salad as well. The gentleman who took my order was very nice and my order was ready when I arrived which was right around the time he said it would be. I did ask before I left if they had put silverware in my bag become i was taking it to a local brewery and he gladly put it in. He had included chopsticks! Finally had my first visit and it was everything my family said it would be. The chicken katsu curry was wonderful! The menu is amazing so, take your time to study it before you order. We were there for dinner but they say the time to be there is during lunch because of the specials. The place is nicely arranged and the staff was welcoming and cheerful. For the ambiance; love the nice touch of fresh carnations on the tables. I did get the octopus balls appetizer and warm sake with a pot of green tea. Overall the place was clean and pretty. The maki combo was a good price for the quality and amount. Entrees came with either a miso soup or salad. The sushi was pretty decent if you're craving it but the fish itself wasn't the most flavorful/ fresh. The rolls also fell apart pretty easily but it was pretty good for the amount. The takoyaki was okay- a little bit sweeter than the others I've tasted. The pad see ew tasted like it was cooked with teriyaki sauce and was very sweet- which I wasn't a fan of. Normally pad see ew isn't as sweet so this threw me off. The price of the noodle dishes were pretty reasonable at $15.99 for the pad see ew. But, as I left, I think I made a mistake of what I ordered because another customer had a MASSIVE plate of pad Thai! I don't know if she just ordered double the amount or if this restaurant really served it in that crazy size. On a cold, rainy evening i felt the need to feel better and Sushi always does it for me!!! Love Me Some Sushi!!! This is one if very few in the area that even know what a Naruto Roll is and I am happy they did. To warm me up, i order some green tea. For an appetizer, I ordered the Tuna Martini and for the main course, i ordered the Naruto Roll. Both were great!!! I think that the Tuna Martini could benefit from the use of a little flavor / spice to it but that can be easily remedied with a little Shoyu / Soy sauce. The Naruto Roll was crunchy with a hint of rice vinegar. Taste was fresh and light. Loved this! I was quickly seated and not rushed to leave, even when they closed, so I could finish my meal. Only have one suggestion for the manager. The tea pot that is used spills when it is tipped to pour. Maybe explore a different style of teapot. It was so juicy, creamy and lemony with the hint of salt on top was to die for! The service was amazing. Everyone who served us seemed happy to be there and was extremely friendly. Well, Wonderful Restaurant lived up to its name! We have a child who "doesn't like vegetables ", but here he will eat their "carrot sushi" they make just for him. We have been to many of the sushi restaurants in the area, and this one is by far the best and most accommodating. We sat right at the bar and got to watch our rolls being made. Moreover, they have an amazing sweet potato tempura sushi that I highly recommend. They are very accommodating for vegetarian pallets, going so far as to offer to make a vegetarian gimbap and dolsot bibimbap! Try grabbing some lunch to test the waters, the lunch menu is also fantastically priced. *The Bad: The wait on our food. It probably didn't help that we hadn't had lunch so we can starving. Whilst I appreciate they were busy at 6PM, people who came after us were served up their food before us. Regardless, it was worth the wait. *Overall verdict? Whilst there was a rather long wait for our food, I was in good company so it didn't feel so bad. We discovered Wonderful Restaurant in 2019 attending a friends small birthday party. Wow, what a great experience with new food. My family and I usually get the Maki combo as it is a plate full of sushi rolls and I can barely finish the amount of food. The green tea is served piping hot and is delicious. I've tried some of their other Korean dishes, the bibimbap soup was a new experience and was delicious. We've been coming there for the last 4 years now and they recognize us when we arrive and we have never received bad service or had food served to us that we did not like. Oh my Yelp - this place couldn't be more aptly named! A combination Japanese/Thai/Asian fusion restaurant tucked away in a strip mall - it's internal decor is lovely. We stopped in for a quick bite before seeing some Christmas lights, and were immediately overwhelmed with all the good looking menu choices. We tried the gyoza, karage, and tempura as appetizers - all were perfectly cooked and served with delicious sauces. I also ordered a sushi ala cart of two salmon just so I could try it - and it was certainly tasty and fresh! For the main course, I got the tempura udon and my partner got the shrimp pad thai. My udon was amazing - the broth was so flavorful and rich, the tempura batter perfectly light and crisp. What I loved the most is that they served the tempura pieces on the side - it's always so disappointing to have them all put in the broth only to have the tempura fall apart on you before you're finished eating! I stole a few bites of my partner's pad thai and it was also delicious! I'd go with 4 1/2 if I could here - service was nice but sort of slow for us -- we were the only seated table for our visit but there were a lot of folks coming in and out for take out.
