Most from our visit we liked supporting the nice family who runs Hibachi Express. The food came out hot and fresh, with generous portions at an affordable price. The chicken hibachi noodles were good, but they were too salty and difficult to eat. Weekday lunch specials are available from 11 AM-2:30 PM. read more

My son & I absolutely LOVE this location! The staff are always friendly & the food comes out really quick!! The price is also family cost efficient ($31 for appetizer of spring rolls and two hibachi chicken plates with extra sauce)! The food is SOOOO good! And their yum yum sauce is to die for! The inside seating is very clean and spacious for a take out location (4 tables of 4 seats). If you're looking for a delicious lunch or dinner stop by ! They are 10/10 and our go to spot! read more

First time here and the food was delicious! Great value for your money but also the food tasted good! I had their chicken hibachi with no mushrooms. I also asked for an extra side of the yum yum sauce and a teriyaki sauce. Large chunks of nicely cooked white meat chicken is in the chicken hibachi. Also plenty for 3 meals for me! It was also ready in 15 minutes. Nice gentleman took my order and everything was included in my to-go order including my extra sauces. There is a small seating area in the restaurant and a group was eating in. Will be back! read more

Always hot and delicious food!! Quick turnaround when ordering and guaranteed to fill you up with portions.

I have been searching for a good takeout hibachi place and this is exactly what I've been looking for! I wanted relatively cheap (this meal came in at about $12) and relatively plain rice which this was. My meal was delicious, they gave me so much food, and they were pretty fast after I ordered. I will be going back for sure! read more

Fast service and good selection of Asian food. We go there when we want something that is not fast food

Very good food, fast service, and large portions of food! The food was very fresh and delicious. We ordered hibachi chicken with yumi sauce and teriyaki chicken, not sure which one was which, but they were both excellent! read more

A small shop located in a plaza. Lots of parking, but the lot fills up quickly due to all the popular businesses. It's easy to call ahead and order; usually ready in 15-20 minutes. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable, although they have increased slightly recently. Everything is usually cooked right and well seasoned, and their sauce is off the chain! We always get extra. read more

Ordered the chicken hibachi and it was pretty good. Service was quick and was in and out within 10min after ordering in store. Portion size was very large. Was enough for two meals for myself and I'm not a small guy. Will come back for sure. read more

Oh my! This place is surprisingly good! I ordered the hibachi steak and chicken, and hibachi combination noodles. They are both exceptionally great similar to Beni Hana but take out. The rice was seasoned just right along with tender chicken breast. The noodles is legit and worth every penny. I pass this place everyday to work and had to finally try it. Also, the white yum yum sauce is delicious over both noodles and rice. Wow! read more

The food is great just wish they would consider putting parchment paper in the styrofoam boxes they use.

Food is great however the online prices do not match the in store price so beware of that. read more

Reliably good food, huge portions. My husband and I split one order and we have leftovers.

I feel like this take out place was very good for the first few years and then the quality went down. The amount of meat in dishes decreased tremendously. I feel as I'm paying for vegetables and rose. Also online prices are cheaper than the actual prices at the restaurant read more

This place never disappoints! It's a good price for all the food always fresh and fast, definitely a go to!

We get consistently good food from here. The portions are large. The food is fresh and the staff is friendly.

This was my fiancé and I's first time trying this place out. I had read the reviews and I thought we would give it a try since almost all of them are positive reviews. The place is cute and not the biggest but it is clean and nice. The cashier was nice and quick about business. The food is bomb!!! Oh my goodness. We found our new spot. We both got a hibachi entree. I got the scallops and he got the chicken/shrimp. The hibachi portions are nice because they're big! Overall for the price and quality of the food, it's great. We spent $27 for two big hibachi entrees and two sodas. Haven't tried anything else but We definitely will after this. read more

I was really excited to find a hibachi restaurant so close to my new place. The experience started as a positive one: my daughter and I entered the restaurant, the only customers at the time, and I was greeted politely, and I ordered my food. My toddler and I waited to be served, and over the course of what must have been 5-7 (maybe ten) minutes, four to five military service men came in and ordered at the counter the same way I had. Before too long, I started to see plates delivered from the kitchen to the cashier, and then, much to my surprise and astonishment, this lady, one by one, delivered food to EACH of these service men as my 4 year-old and I watched them be served. After she served the first or second customer that ordered AFTER me, I asked, "Are either of those mine?" to which she replied, "no, one minute." Then, she proceeded to serve ALL four or five of the other customers, and Another customer who walked in as the first men were being served (this customer, at least, was a call in order). Soon after, the restaurant cleared and there sat me and my daughter...waiting...just as we had before the slight influx of customers that came in after us. AFTER, the restaurant was clear, this woman only THEN advised me that my order was ready...to which I replied, "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!You LITERALLY served everyone that came AFTER me, BEFORE ME!" She looked back at the cook, smirked, and then continued to bag up my food as though I was just meant to ACCEPT this BLATANT mistreatment and disregard/disrespect!!!! Suffice it to say, I IMMEDIATELY assumed this was RACIALLY MOTIVATED...because what OTHER reason makes sense?! (I'm a Melanated woman with a half-Asian daughter...perhaps that upset them?? IDK). She claimed it's because different cooks were working on my order but there's NO WAY that I'm eating ANYTHING prepared by someone that doesn't have enough respect for me to dignify me with prompt service! I was SO disgusted and Angered! I kept my cool enough to drop only a Few explicatives before Demanding a refund and deciding not to give them my business at all! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! RACIST!!! BLATANTLY DISRESPECTFUL!!! read more

We've been coming here for 3 years and we have never had a bad experience. You get a good amount of food for what you pay for. Best hibachi I've had in the Hampton Roads area. read more

Pleasantly surprised! Exceeded our expectations!! They are taking exemplary safety precautions due to Covid. The food was ready very fast and stayed hot. Great customer service. Excellent tasting food. Not too greasy and not too sweet. When you see hibachi and teriyaki comes with fried rice, don't expect fried rice like you might see at a Chinese restaurant with peas and carrots. It's more like sticky rice. It was very delicious. The portions were huge. It's a good value for what you pay. We will certainly have left overs for at least one more meal. If you get a hibachi or teriyaki entree, it comes with rice, it doesn't come with noodles. I'd recommend adding a side of noodles because they are freakin delicious! Don't forget to tip kindly, especially during Covid-times. read more

Our "go to" every week- it's dinner and a snack and lunch for $10.. I don't get the complaints. It's really good- sometimes it's a little less great but it's still ALWAYS good!! They're fast and no frills, and the rice is always SO GOOD. read more

It's called hibachi express but not because of the wait LOL. I guess because of the prices (which were reasonable). The hibachi was really delicious! But be prepared for a decent wait (20-30 min). The place is really small and they make meals in small batches (2-3 orders at a time). But the food was well worth it once I finally had a chance to eat! I did notice that people who called in still had to wait, so again, take your time. read more

Had this place once complimentary of a friend. I thought it was pretty good. So while traveling through I went out of my way to make a special stop. There was a sign on the door that stated they would be opening at 2pm although normal hours state opening at 11am. It was 1:28 so I decided to sit in my car and wait. 2pm came and went, over 10 minutes later still no one opened??? Disappointed to say the least.... not exactly professional. read more

Soooo good and you can't beat the price! Been coming here for over a year now and it's better than some of the high end hibachi places I've been to. Bad food over cook and too salty . The pictures of the food not look same the way they cook

Awesome! Awesome! Just got 4 party trays for my office Christmas party. Everyone loved it! We eat here regularly and it is alway great!

We ordered the party tray chicken hibatchi to feed our family dinner tonight. We all took a plate full of food, that is amazing by the way, and still have 3/4 of a tray left! For less than what we would have paid for 3 individual dinner orders. That works in my book! read more

Today I went to Hibach Express for lunch. I called my order in. I ordered L8. chicken and shrimp and I payed for extra rice and veggies..guess what I didn't get..extra veggies. As I arrived I payed for my order..as I was waiting the manager came and fussed at the cook for putting extra veggies in my box..I am looking as he's (the manager) taking the veggies and the food off of my plate. After I payed for it and gave them an extra tip as well. I asked to make sure that my plate had what I ordered. As I arrived home and checked my plate he took the food off of my plate! How or why did you take the food off of my plate?!! I payed for that terrible customer service and I drove very far to come to your restaurant. Now I decided to call back to talk the manager as opened my plate. The lady on the phone who answered and took my order was very very rude! (normally it's a very sweet young lady..where is she;she is so pleasant.) any who as I called back and talked to the lady and I let her know that I wanted to speak to her boss..she says he's busy and hangs up on me!!! I called back I let her know how rude that was to hang up on a customer! she said what do you want?!? I said I would like to speak to your supervisor and not you. you just hung the phone up on me! finally the manager gets on the phone I explained the situation and he said she didn't charge me for the veggies..I said she didn't put the extra in there. he said next time I'll give you 10% off. So what did I pay extra for? This was a very terrible experience..especially since I come there quite frequently with my children and the young lady who is normally there is so friendly to my family and I. This place was far but nice and quaint...check your plates and orders before you leave! read more
