Mango habanero wings are delicious and meaty

These guys are great and fast. They have never messed one of my orders up. I made an evening order tonight, and they delivered it in under 20 minutes, piping hot. I use the app for delivery so I don't know how customer service is face-to-face, but the drivers are always polite and quick. I got the wings for the first time and the mango habanero sauce is really good and spicy. It lacks just a tad on the actual pepper flavor (although the tangy sweetness is on point), but it does deliver a satisfying kick if you are a spice lover like me. If you are worried about them getting soggy (if you live far away/are picking up in-store), I would just leave special instructions to put the sauce on the side and you can add it on at your convenience. Great pizza, too. P.S. I used to work at a pizza place and it helps to leave them notes of encouragement! They love seeing that on the pizza line.

If I wanted chicken nuggets I would have gone and bought some at Walmart

I don't normally review chain restaurants but since they have so few locations in Houston, and…read morethey're a little unique, I felt I should. I had a blimpie near my house when growing up but it had been nearly 20 years since I've been to a location and tried their sandwiches. This location also happens to be very close to home, so it was only a matter of time before I visited. This location is pretty small and cozy, with a small section of old style carpet in the dining area up front which you rarely see in fast food restaurants, much less any restaurant, these days. I tried their 12" meatball parmeseana on parmasean flat bread as recommended by the sandwich maker. The sandwich itself was great and messy, unfortunately the meatball is not mostly beef like you might think. It's mostly pork with maybe a hint of beef. Service was excellent and the guys behind the counter are pretty quick and efficient when making sandwiches. Needless to say, I will just stick to a regular sliced meat sandwich next time as I feel they've changed their recipe for their meatballs over the years.

The service was amazing, I loved the inside of the store too it old school vibes, the ambiance was amazing. I'm moving 30 minutes away, but this is definitely worth driving for when I'm craving a fresh delicious sub. I added oil, vinegar, and mayo to my sub. Which made it messy but was definitely worth getting all over my hands and mouth. They have a clean spacious bathroom that I was able to wash my hands in. I went around 10am when they first opened.

I totally get the hype about this place! If I lived nearby, you can bet I'd work my way through…read moretheir whole menu. There's just something different about this style of sandwich. I've had sandwiches in NYC and Boston, but Tony's were definitely better! The menu is overwhelming because so much sounds good, so we went with two 7 inch sandwiches to split--one hot and one cold. Although a helpful tip from the cashier is that you can order any cold sandwich hot. We had the Lucky Luciano (hot) and the Sophia (cold). Both were really good--it was hard to choose between the two. But if I'm being honest, that cold sandwich was reminiscent of subs I loved in the early 2000s from places that no longer exist...with that super thinly sliced turkey, thick slice of Swiss cheese, and basil mayo--it really hit the spot. We also had a cannolo--not as good as others I've had. The bottled root beer was delightful. The Lucky Luciano was the kind of sandwich I came here for, and don't get me wrong, it is deliciously cheesy and will make your hands messy. But the Sophia is the kind of sandwich I'll be craving. My only regret was not taking a sandwich to-go for later. Open a location closer to Houston, please. :)

Many visits later it pains me to remove a star FOR BEVERAGE ISSUES ONLY (the food is still…read morefantastic). They are a pepsi place (booooooo!), and there's no diet pepsi (pepsi zero is their only zero calorie soda option). If you drink Diet Coke (most popular diet drink in USA), then you don't want diet pepsi, but you'll probably drink it if you have to; however, you're very likely to hate pepsi zero (and Coke Zero, too), so no soda for you here anymore! A full Coke setup that also includes Dr Pepper AND Diet Dr Pepper is ideal. I realize a pepsi fountain is more profitable because of distributor incentives, but pepsi is favored by almost nobody and hated by many...so is it really worth it? Tony's is so great that pepsi just does not fit in. Hopefully they don't deteriorate further and change to Wonderbread for all of their sandwiches. Bottom line: at the very least, please add diet pepsi to your soda machine if that brand remains in place.

For some reason, I decided to try a sandwich from this location one day and now my life has changed. I'm addicted to Jersey Mike's. I don't know who Mike is/was, but he knows how to make a sandwich unlike anything else in this world. #8 Club Sub on Rosemary Parmesan bread, Mike's way (minus tomatoes because I hate them) with BBQ kettle chips and a Stubbs root beer. That's the order that gives me the same feeling as childhood summer days spent by the pool. I've had the same meal at other locations, but this one just makes it taste like it was made with love. I always order to go and they always get it right which makes this even more impressive. The employees have always been kind to me and the pick up process is always efficient. Truly love this place.

There were groves of people coming in pretty angry about this as well. Nowhere online does it say this location is under construction or closed. Additionally, I called a location 10 minutes away to see if they could help me. She said she would let her district manager know, but then said actually " I gotta let you go" and hung up on me. Wtf

We ordered Fried shrimp, with creamed spinach and onion rings. The flavor of the food was good, well-seasoned, and it was new to me to have leaf spinach served in a cheese sauce and I decided I like it! If you like your food spicy, then order the Shrimo Cocktail. It was a little spicy for me, but the flavors were good. We ordered a stuffed baked potato with butter, sour cream and chives. The potatoes skin tasted great, not sure how it was seasoned, but we liked it and the prosaic boring stuffed baked potato was really delicious when I poured the remainder of my spinach's cheese sauce over it. Desserts are homemade, and today's offerings were crème brûlée and Key lime pie. They weren't bad. The owner was welcoming and I liked our nice chat, particularly as they were short-staffed as somebody had not turned up for work. Overall, we had no real expectations going in and thought the food tasted much better than we had anticipated. Try it.

So I hear Wednesday is their big day. It's Prime Rib day. I called a day ahead to see what hours…read moreit's served. The owner who answered the phone told me that actually the employees of one of the companies in the area reserved like the whole cow. I think he said 64 lbs or something like that. Savages. But he did say they could save a piece for us if I told him when I wanted to come in. I asked him for a good time to come. He said usually they're done cooking it by 12:30 pm and then it needs time to cool down. So he suggested mid-afternoon like around 2 pm. Ok. Well what the heck. A late lunch it is then. I've always been a whore for a good cut of meat. When we got there I told the host/waiter that we had a reservation and he just replied ok and didn't bother asking our name or checking us off a list or anything. Understandable I suppose since the place was empty. When we got the menus my first observation was that a number of the prices were higher by several dollars than as listed on their website, including the prime rib. The waiter replied it's just a few bucks, and then noted it's actually been like that for a few months. When I talked to the owner later he said they're waiting for the lady who handles their website to make the update. I've posted pics of their current in store menu so you can know the current prices. I think the waiter was new. Because he didn't ask how we wanted our prime rib cooked (I had to ask him later if we have a choice). Also when I asked for more horseradish (it doesn't come with the prime rib automatically) he took my plastic thimble looking cup and just refilled it, which seemed a bit unsanitary and odd. Also I had to ask for ketchup for the onion rings. When I was signing the bill he just hovered and immediately took it. It just felt weird. I dunno. Maybe his shift was ending or something. I know this sounds weird to comment on but the water tasted off. It's the first time I've ever said that. But it just tasted weird. I couldn't put my finger on it. Maybe like it already had some lemon in it? Yet there was a lemon slice on the rim of the glass. So I'm not sure. Anyway onto the prime rib. I thought it was ok. My kid absolutely loves prime rib and that's the real reason we came. But she just didn't like it here. However it is one of their most popular dishes and the way they sell out obviously folks in the area are ga ga for it. So definitely come give it a try for yourself. It comes 2 sides but not a baked potato which is $5 extra. I love baked potatoes but the extra cost made me not want to get it. The waiter said the mashed potatoes do not come with gravy but actually the sauce that comes with the prime rib is pretty thick and could easily be used for this. I thought the cream spinach was good as well as the fries and onion rings. Note the QR codes on the bill didn't work to pay. I'm not sure why. I think the waiter said something was wrong with their computers. When we asked for a to go box the lid on my gravy container didn't securely close. The waiter said that actually all of the containers have that problem. Yikes. Well just be careful you don't spill it in your car. I guess the waiter told the owner my kid didn't like the prime rib and when we were boxing it up the owner came to our table and was apologetic and super nice about it and offered to comp her plate. Now that's old school class. I've been to some of these newer places where they couldn't give a crap. But the owner here actually cares that people have a good time. So kudos to him. Their menu is extensive. And they have something for everyone. They also have a kids menu with reasonable prices. The monte cristo and pork knuckle were catching my eye. Maybe another day.
