After perusing the menu, I decided on a large Chicken Bacon Ranch w/lettuce, tomato, and mayo, accompanied by a bag of chips and a sweet tea. Without a doubt, the fresh-baked bread was the star of the show. It was soft and absolutely delicious. Service was fast and friendly. There's ample indoor and patio seating. Parking is limited to the street. Definitely swing by Steamboat if you're in the area!

Hummus Republic is a bit of a mixed experience. **The…read morepositive -- hummus is above average and tastes freshly made; roast eggplant is good; spice/flavor is decent. **Negative -- minimal meat; only a tiny piece of eggplant (despite an upcharge); lemon chicken was cold and not very tasy. My order was UberEats. So, I cannot comment on the restaurant experience or ambiance. But, as far as food goes, I put this in the average category. If you happen to be near there and want this style of food (and nothing better is around), it's passable. But, it doesn't reach the great category and it is not as good as CAVA (which seems very similar). Overall: Worth a try. But, don't rush out to it. I recommend they improve the quality of the meats and have better portions if someone orders the roast eggplant.

I understand why this place is so popular with all of the arcade games and being so close to the high school and middle school. There was only one person working and she seemed to be a little stressed out with the seven people that were there. She was very kind, and I'm sure didn't have much to do with the quality of the food. So the tip was there, but I probably won't be recommending this place to anyone. The mix of the arcade in the bar and the ice cream parlor just seems so confusing.

The food was hit or miss, with the chicken noodle soup being the highlight and easily the best thing I had. The fried chicken tenders, on the other hand, were disappointing. They were dry and lacked the crispy, flavorful batter and overall "fry factor" I expect from good chicken tenders. The service was also subpar. Our server (Amber C) seemed more interested in sitting in a booth with a male patron than making sure her guests were taken care of. There were missed opportunities to check back or see if we needed anything and, as a result, the restaurant missed out on an additional $16 in sales -- along with what would have been a generous tip. We didn't order a beverage because we thought the prices were simply too high. As for the atmosphere, there really wasn't anything particularly memorable about it. We were hoping to find that classic, welcoming diner experience, but unfortunately, this just didn't leave much of an impression. It's not a terrible place, but based on this visit, I'm not rushing back.

If you're looking for a divey sub shop serving some damn tasty junk food, this is your spot!…read more Nixon's is a well-loved local (Knoxville) chain. While this is not the original and it's certainly not much to look at from the outside, it's easy to get in and out of the lot, even when traffic is heavy if you're coming from the interstate. The other subs I tried during my visit were good, but nothing surpassed their classic Reuben: bread is super fresh with great balance between meat, cheese, kraut, and dressing. So, my recommendation is that you pick what you like. Go for it! Be prepared to be very happy. The thing about steamed sandwiches is that you either have to eat them immediately (I mean within minutes of prep: in house, in the lot, or similar), or you need to give them a vent / breather and wait until later. If not, the spots where the moisture pools can definitely get a case of the soggies. When I'm in Knoxville again, I'll definitely be back. (Even if you don't want your sandwich steamed--which you can decide--pickles and peppers are too tasty to give up!) Enjoyed the potato salad, but I get the impression this place is more about the subs than the sides.
