They say the cut is 14 oz, but sometimes they don't measure/weigh it and it can be closer to 16 oz. Also, save some room for ice cream. Did I mention you should come hungry? We usually sit at the bar in the back and there is open mic on Wednesday evenings. The performers are good. In fact, we haven't heard a bad performer yet. The fried chicken salad is great and the honey mustard dressing is made in house and a must try, even if you get it on the side. Their burgers are juicy and amazing. I recommend the Castle Peak with fries. Every time we've gone, the service has been top notch. The bartenders are personable and prompt. They seem to know everyone there as well, which is always a good thing. One thing to note is that parking for the restaurant can be limited, but usually we can find a spot.

This is a dive bar. Nothing wrong with a dive bar but you need to be aware before you visit. This is not some G Wagon haven like many restaurants in CO. I can fit in nearly anywhere and even I felt a little out of place. The locals only vibe was strong but we felt no animosity from said locals. In fact, the service was pretty friendly albeit a little slow. The burger was solid. I love a good burger and theirs would qualify. The fries were decent but nothing special. Hand cut fries would've been an improvement. But the burger seemed hand formed and was cooked and seasoned perfectly. If you land at Eagle and want a burger, make sure to add Brush Creek to your list.

Owner was super friendly and updated us on the local situation before we headed back out on to the highway. We definitely felt welcomed by the owner and the ambiance. There was a baby Yoda picture on the wall to greet us. Our burritos were made from scratch and some of the best we've had anywhere. There were a few local regulars who stopped by and knew the owner by name, I take that as a sign of a good restaurant. We'll be back and I'd recommend this place to anyone.
