Service is fast and friendly, I got the roast beef and some fries. The sandwich had good flavor for sure, could've used some more meat on the sandwich but it wasn't lacking much. Quite a bit of fries that had no salt or seasoning on them. I enjoyed the meal for sure but $24 is a little steep for a roast beef poboy and fries

This is a small town cafe with friendly service and good values food. I had the fish Po'Boy and my…read morecompanion had the soft shell crab Po'Boy. Mine, the fish was delicious with fresh fish and "the works" on a tasty bun. The shift shell crab, I was told was tasty but the shell wasn't crispy--more tough and difficult to bite through. That meant peeling off the shell. I was told it still tasted good, but maybe pass on the soft shell crab another time. We both enjoyed the sweet potato fries.

We started out with the crab dip. It was honestly really good, I was hesitant at first but it surprised me. For their wings they only have bone-in. They were able to split the order into half of one flavor and half of another. The chicken was cooked very good. I didn't love the garlic parmesan sauce. My dad liked the buffalo sauce. The fries were good, not great. The service was friendly. The dining area was very small but there is an outside area you can also sit at.

The interior of each restaurant is pretty small with a diner area and a few booths that all sit against the open kitchen concept. The menu is simple and the staff is highly efficient wearing many hats and bearing many responsibilities. Respect! Definitely a no frills meal meant to be a quick and convenient stop or maybe a late night bite. My boyfriend had their All Star Special ($11) with 2 eggs scrambled, bacon, a waffle of your choosing, hashbrowns, and toast. They only have white bread, no alternative. I had a Coffee ($2.50) and their 2 Egg Breakfast and Bacon ($9) meal which I opted for sunny side up and hashbrowns and toast. While I was watching their production I was fairly impressed... until I watched too long. The chef at the egg station was cracking the eggs on the edge of a bowl, which basically causes shell to get into your eggs. It's better to crack eggs on a flat surface. And less impressed by the time the food got to us when my toast and bacon were burnt at some parts. That butter drenched over the eggs. Soooooo unhealthy. To make it worse, there was a BEETLE that crawled out of our pecan waffle. Yikes. We told our waitress and she made us a new one, but the new one was not as crispy and potentially undercooked. Bleh. Over it. I actually enjoy no frills meals but I don't think asking for my food to not be burnt or not have insects crawling out to be asking for too much. I see the potential in these types of chain and I enjoy the ambiance, but my personal experience leaves much to be desired.

I've tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt multiple times as it's close and affordable…read more- but today's experience was awful. The sushi is 6/10. Not terrible. But not great either. Fish and other raw food is kept at room temperature which isn't always a welcoming notion. This was my fifth visit. Four of five visits had screaming infants and children's YouTube videos blaring in the background. NOT a restaurant for peace and quiet. When ordering a roll, I was offered the choice of soy or seaweed wrap. I opted for soy and my roll arrived a couple minutes later. The sushi itself wasn't bad, but again the bombardment of an infant screaming and YouTube programming really detracted from the experience. I'm uncertain as to why some parents believe their three month old would benefit from a raw fish experience. Unfortunately come time to pay, I noticed a little extra than advertised on my bill - an up charge for soy paper. Now small amounts aren't normally a big concern - provided the customer is notified of an upcharge fee when ordering. Not only was I not told, but it's not mentioned anywhere on the menu. When I inquired about it, my server was kind enough to take it off the bill. However, he then proceeded to argue that "generally people just should know that it costs more" and "nobody really says anything". Look - it's a matter of principle. The cost of doing business is what it is. But TELL people you're going to charge them extra. DON'T sneak it on to the bill and assume everyone knows. That's a shady nickel-and-diming tactic that will eventually get noticed. And don't try to defend it when you're caught red handed.
