My oder was slightly above room temperature. I sent it back only to severed a over microwaved meal. Not sure what happened to the food quality here. Next time I Want a frozen tv dinner I'll pick one up at Walmart and microwave myself. read more

The food although it was hot it wasn't very good. Tough steak, no meat in the carnitas, shrimp was over cooked and the best part was the chips and the salsa and beans. We won't be going back there. For three meals with the tip, which I would not have given, was right at 100.00. The service was quite lacking. read more

I'm not that big of a fan of Mexican food, but luckily they serve burgers here. The servers were efficient and the burger was juicy. The Sprite tasted heavenly, and the fries were crispy. The entire resturaunt was olden Mexican themed with all sorts of paintings and other art. Overall, delicious time. read more

I ordered the fajitas and there was hardly no beef. It was just onions and peppers and we ordered the shrimp wrap in bacon. The shrimp actually wasn't real shrimp and it was served cold . Had to asked the waitress if it was supposed to be served cold and she replied I don't know I'll have to ask the cook . read more

Been eating here for a few years now and I always try to get something new every time... Last night, I ordered a cup of tortilla soup and my life is now changed! It was unlike anything I've ever eaten. Hot, delicious soup with extremely fresh avocado slices and crispy fried tortilla strips! Suggested my my super friendly waitress, Delicious! And the cup was enough to get me full, large portions:) read more

Complimentary nachos were good. I thought that it was happy hour and I am going to get 1 free drink on 1 drink that I buy but when I received my check, I got charged for 2 drinks and the bill shot up considerably. The free hour apply to only few selected drinks. I couldn't understand what the server was saying as she was speaking in very low volume. Food and drinks were ok (for the price I paid) :( read more

This is an outstanding place!! I am here with an Insurance company to work Hurricane Ida I am responsible for providing meals for 12-15 workers. I've been coming to ElPaso for years, they are open late and very accommodating to personal request. Fantastic menu and food always delicious, fresh, hot and timely. Staff very friendly and as a repeat customer, they make us feel like family. Super clean facility, I've been there many times (late) when they were tearing about everything to deep clean the dining area! We are fortunate to have them in Raceland. The table side guacamole is AMAZING! But, everything is. read more

It's taken me awhile to write this review, but here I am so shout my love for this place! It's no secret that this native California lives in the bayou now. A far cry from the beaches of Southern California loaded with Mexican restaurants and taco trucks offering authentic foods from literally every Mexican state. Louisiana while known for it's Gumbos, seafood boils and etouffees is NOT known for their vast selection of Mexican joints and in the bayou the choice is quite slim. I stumbled across the El Paso group while in Houma and loved the food. Though Houma is still far to run out somewhere close for dinner. Same goes for their location in Thibodaux. I visited their Morgan city location after dropping the Pirate off to the boat and was not disappointed. Unfortunately, my choices are slim to none locally for restaurant choices and in reality, there are only two places nearby that I dine and not that often. To my wild surprise I saw that Reuben was opening yet another location and just down the street from my home and studio. I quizzed him while dining at the Thibodaux location in April last year and at the time, he was confident it wouldn't be long. I believe that the Mathews location eventually opened in October and I am happy for the very first time since moving here. There is another choice, sort of close but, well.....I really don't want to even mention them in this review and all I can say is that I didn't care for their food and now that El Paso is here I won't be going back. It's decor is similar to Reuben's other locations, with beautiful murals and Mexican artifacts. They even have a ceramic Rooster that crows (it does, ask them and they'll turn it on) The many times that I have dined, traditional music is played and on one occasion that had standard music, I was sort of bummed to be eating my meal to 80's music. I know that they offer live local music, but I have not attended, but it's a nice touch. They also have a daily margarita happy hour special...even on Sundays!!!! So it's pretty happy all week long at El Paso. Your party, whether it be one or many are brought baskets of warm chips with three different dips. A warm cooked salsa from the interior of Mexico, warm refried black beans and a cold salsa from exterior Mexico. I prefer the cold salsa and always order an extra one that I literally pour all over my dish. The ceviche is excellent!, either fish or shrimp and I've ordered a combo which they have graciously accommodated everytime. I am an enchilada gal and continue to order them, though i have branched out and if the Pirate comes I order him other stuff like the fajitas or Chile rellano and have myself a big ol taste. Little man loves the queso and the soupillas, which is a Mexican beignet and deliciousa!!!! Well worth a try if you've never embarked on this foreign dessert!!! The menu is vast, so everyone is sure to find something and there are a few non Mexican dishes for those less adventurous.....Lunchtime offers a bargain menu with lots of choices! Writing this makes me hunger for El Paso and that's just what I'm going to do, head over there for an early dinner with little man..... a special Adios amigo to waiter Willie, whom was the very first waiter to serve me up a bit of heaven to this California girl.... I am happy, the waiters speak Spanish, the traditional music plays and I feel that I am back in Mexico again. Uno Cervaza por favor!!!! Gracias Reuben Gracias! read more

This place is about as good as it gets in Raceland, Louisiana. There are a few El Pasos in this area and they all are pretty decent. They give you a good amount of Mexican food, margaritas, and all at reasonable prices. You can probably fill up on the chips and various salsas they provide. I tend to always either get the fajitas or a burrito of some choice. Mexican food (served in America) all tend to be the same things... they give you a protein choice (meat, chicken, or shrimp), put it in some type of flour shell, then add beans rice and the other fixings. Nothing wrong with that. read more

Love this place. My family and I frequent this restaurant. Great food, amazing service and good atmosphere. Cannot go wrong at El Paso.

Service is quick. The food is well worth the price. Hot food is hot and cold food is cold very tasteful.

I had the guacamole salad and enchilada supreme and they were fantastic. Great atmosphere, good service and tasty food! What more could you ask for? read more

I'm spoiled on California Mexican food, but this is by far the most authentic, tasty food you're gonna get in Louisiana. We came in on a Friday, and even with the justly and bustle we were well taken care of. Good prices for very good food. read more

I've been coming to this particular El Paso for 3 years now and the food has always been great-the service good. I ordered take out recently and my order was messed up so I called the manager to complain. His reply was come in tomorrow and I'll make it right. Since I was going that way I did just that. To my surprise he replaced the order at no charge....Unexpected and appreciated. I live about 4 miles from an El Paso, but I drive to Raceland because the food is better, now I know I was right . Raceland El Paso can't be beat if you are in the mood for Mexican that's good. read more

The best choice around for great food, even if you want something light. My most frequent choices: queso: always good fajitas: great, big portions. (It comes with flour tortillas but I get taco shells) Fajitas are enough for 2 and maybe even left overs. Banana cheesecake chimmichanga: I don't always get it, but when I do, it's always good. read more

For the love of all things DONT order the large margarita. You have been warned. Also split a dish as they are very generous with the portions. Loved the black bean dip and I probably ate too much of it. I had the chile rellenos and the cheese was a bit much. Also I didn't like the breading on the chilis but it was not bad. read more

I've eaten here with customers a couple of times......... the food is great and the service is equally good. The service is ok and that's about it the food is not worth it and it made me sick I'm definitely disappointed with the food

Great atmosphere. Lots of seating, food is good, drinks are great with lots of choices. There is indoor or outdoor seating.

Went here to meet a co-worker for dinner last Saturday night. We had three young kids with us and I have to say, it's very kid friendly. We tested it lol. There's was a band playing a mixture of country, Caribbean and pop music. Some of it reminded me of old Cajun wedding reception music. The kids were allowed to dance near the band and shake maracas. Ours did just that and LOVED it! The food was typical American Mexican type. Chips were warm and freshly made. That's a rarity with these types of chains. Great for a casual family night out. Will definitely be back. read more

We had a great meal here! The hostess was super friendly, the waitress seemed a little annoyed by us (we do have 4 kids, so I get that we're not going to be anyone's favorite), but she was still fast and good. I had the #100- garlic shrimp and it was great. Shrimp and rice were both delicious. The veggies tasted like frozen veggies, but aside from that the other stuff was great. Also, the shrimp have that gulf shrimp taste (aka dishwater). We're used to that now, but just FYI if you're not used to Texas/Louisiana dishwater tasting shrimp. The margaritas for happy hour were great, the churro desert was also great. Glad we came here and would come back if we end up in town again. I'd like to see a shrimp burrito on the menu too! Also loved that you get 2 salsas and a black bean dip with the chips. read more
