Crust was thin and perfectly cooked, edges were thick and doughy. Mozzarella cheese was generous and sausage was really, really good. There were other toppings, but frankly, I can't remember what they were. I was mesmerized with the crust and cheese. Pizza sauce was thin, the way I like it. Our waitress, Sam, was great. Very attentive and always giving us updates as to when the pizza would come out. Now, pay attention... the place is very busy. We waited 40 minutes for our pizza on a Friday night so be patient. Parking is at a premium. Suggest you park across the street at the vacant gas station. Highly recommend without any reservations. Go early and enjoy the action. PS - Decor ... very cool pictures and posters all over the place. Mostly of Elvis and Marilyn Monroe. Walls were covered with classics.

I proudly work at Papa Johns store #83 in Oak Grove. I came to visit my family for Easter and decided to pick up some pizza from the Papa Johns on Lone Oak Road in Paducah. When I went in I asked if I could get my employee discount... After asking 2 people and being ignored multiple times by the manager I was sternly told no. Which is fine! I then said I would like 2 of the $12 large specialty pizzas (because I know what kind of specials are at all of the stores) and she said she can't do that special either. The woman behind the register seemed to have trouble understanding what I was ordering so I said "If it would be easier for you, I can go order online" she then said "I mean your total so far is $45"... $45 for 2 med pizzas? No. Then I firmly said "I'm going to order online. Thank you". I then go out to the car with my husband and my best friend. While I was ordering on the app, my husband notices, through the window, the manager screaming and cussing out the woman behind the cash register. While flailing her arms over by the oven, the manager waves away the woman behind the cash register. The woman behind the cash register starts to cry and freak out. The manager then walks to the drivers station and is angrily staring at us!!! This woman has her hands on her hips and is straight up STARING AT US through the large front window trying to intimidate us. And for what? Trying to order some dang pizzas! We then took our business to Dominos who were glad to take my money. All in all, I think Papa Johns is great. I love my store. But I will never be buying from the Lone Oak Store in Paducah ever again.
