On our drive home Sunday morning, we decided to make a stop in Oroville and try Big Foot Eats. What a fantastic decision! From the moment we walked through the front door, we were warmly greeted and shown to a comfortable booth. The restaurant is spacious, exceptionally clean, and has a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. Then we met Elena, our server--and what a gem she is! Elena was attentive, friendly, genuinely kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Since it was our first visit, we asked her about some of their most popular breakfast and lunch dishes. She patiently walked us through the options, and she certainly knew how to make a recommendation! She sold me on the Idaho Omelette--and I'm so glad she did. This delicious creation was packed with bacon, onions, and Cheddar Jack cheese, stuffed with crispy tater tots, drizzled with sour cream, and topped with green onions. Talk about comfort food taken to another level! Jennifer went with the Western Burger, featuring a perfectly cooked beef patty, bacon, American cheese, Bigfoot onions, and a delicious BBQ drizzle. "Scrumdidlieumptious!" is about all we could muster as our taste buds were doing backflips! Every bite of Jennifer's burger was outstanding. The ingredients were top-notch, everything was cooked to perfection, and the combination of flavors was fantastic. My Idaho Omelette was every bit as delicious and satisfying. But what made our experience even more special was Elena herself. She wasn't simply our server--she was a true ambassador for Big Foot Eats. Her warmth and genuine hospitality made us feel like we were visiting an old friend rather than simply stopping in for a meal. We also learned that Elena and her mother run the restaurant together, which made our experience feel even more personal. And, as is so often the case, my wife chose the right place! They open at 8am and I was the first one to order. I ordered the Country skillet breakfast ( 2 scrambled eggs with hash browns and bacon over biscuits and gravy). I had the gravy on the side. I was surprised that the bacon were just small little pieces with what looked like tater tots. You pick up the food at the counter and seat yourself. The eggs were cool to the touch. Biscuits were pretty good. The gravy made it better! Not what I was expecting but still ok. I only had a few bites and brought it back to my friends place. He enjoyed it ALOT more than I did! Manuel was friendly and helpful but the lady was was not very welcoming (Putting that nicely! ) It's retro inside and also serves beer and sodas along with coffee and other items. I think they are known for their burgers more so then their breakfast menu. I don't live in this area so this is not a place I will revisit.

I ordered the Our Burger combo, for a reasonable price of $13.99. My burger was hot, juicy, and loaded with fresh produce. It came on a lightly toasted bun with Wahl sauce, and a nicely melted slice of "government cheese." The tots were crispy and golden brown on the outside. There were plenty of them, and they came with some tasty ranch for dipping. I ordered a Dr. Pepper for my drink, and my cheerful server brought me a free refill. The restaurant is nice inside, and has a big wood bar with beer, wine, and cocktails. There's a bunch of TVs over the bar if you want to plunk down and catch some sports. The atmosphere, service, and food were all five stars in my opinion. Nice job Wahlbergs!

I have been wanting to try this place for a long time! We lucked out and enjoyed their lunch special.. Bbq bacon burger with fries. Only 12 bucks! ( I think lunch specials are from 11am to 2 pm). Burger was juicy and they didn't skimp on the bacon! Fries were crunchy and delicious. Love their Wahlburger sauce ( for the fries ). I also ordered the 3 sliders on the regular menu. I especially liked the chicken slider..it had a golden crunch to it! The other 2 sliders were good as well. Tons of leftovers! I also tried their expresso martini ..Tammy did a great job on making it! Service was quick and the place is super clean! Nice containers for leftovers and love the take out bag that closes for a good seal! It was a Great experience and we both enjoyed the food! Service was quick and we were brought water and our order of iced tea right away. The menu had some good and interesting selections, and my glance gravitated to the Louisiana Hot Chicken Sandwich. You get to select a side so I got Tader Tots. Ed decided to go with the Cuban Sandwich as an all time favorite for him. He will always order it when available. His option for a side were Sweet Potato Fries, for a slight upcharge. When the order arrived something wasn't quite right. Ed looked a bit perplexed as he's never seen a Cuban Sandwidh as delivered, but they do have variations. Hmmmm. My Tader Tots arrived but no sandwich. I was told mine was made wrong and they had to make it again. OK??? So, we sat and sat and waited and frankly the Tader Tots, an abundant amount, were quite good so I just munched on those while waiting for my sandwich. When it arrived the sandwich was huge! The fried chicken stuck out on all sides and difficult to eat. The bun did keep together so no complaints there as that often isn't the case with large sandwiches. It was satisfying enough, except the breading for the chicken was SO SALTY that it overpowered everything. I really was struck by the large amount of salt used. After Ed took some bites of his it became apparent it wasn't a Cuban Sandwich but rather the Cali Chicken Sandwich, confirmed on the bill. So a couple of rather not so good missteps, perhaps by the kitchen? Anyway we had a very filling lunch so just went with it. Besides remaking everything would take time we didn't have to give. Our server was very friendly and pleasant.
