There is no AC, it feels like you are in an outdoor tropical garden with a Tiki. The menu is limited, farm to table approach. It offers several appetizers and a few entrees. Tropical cocktails. My sister and I once a month meet for lunch, usually go to the other restaurants in the downtown area. This was a Saturday. The restaurant was pretty empty. We decided to try it, since it was new. It's off season for Florida. I like that it's away from traffic and close to the river, but not on the river. We ordered several appetizers, Tuna stack, it was good with toast on the side. I would have preferred wonton chips or tortilla chips. We also had the crab fritters, these were delicious and plentiful for two people and the Burrata salad. We wanted the Brussels sprouts, but they were out so the chef prepared Bok Choi instead. Equally delicious. We ordered an infused cucumber refreshing cocktail. The service was very good. The owner stopped by our table, to ask how we liked it. He was gracious and told us his story how he bought the placed and design a menu along with the Chef. That was a plus. They also have music for dinner. Parking is street. The Tram goes around and it will leave you at this restaurant from the large parking lot. Please note there's a green market on Sunday's so the parking lot is usually full.

The bartender Bowin was great but the owner that was talking down to him was absolutely appalling. First thing I heard across the bar before taking my drink order "I heard you're wanting to serve here and it's not gonna happen" which shocked me because where I come from if you have a correction to make with an employee take it up in the office, not in the public eye. I'm visiting and wanted a nice happy hour experience but let me say I'm never happy seeing workers mistreated like that. I was polite enough to wait until the end of my meal to speak with the owner, Ron, and he was very dismissive. He said the following "it's not that deep, you don't know the full story, etc." which absolutely true I don't know the full story but I don't need to. Actions speak louder than words. The way he treated him I would never support someone like that and first impressions are everything so shame on him. I stayed because I wanted to give Bowin a good tip and ensure I take this up with the owner before leaving instead of leaving a review. Here we are, I'm leaving a review because hospitality is very important in 2 sectors: 1) the way you feel; 2) the experience. I give a singular star for Bowin's great service as well as Celine's but Ron, the owner, doesn't deserve anyone's money for the way he treats his employees. I've never left a review like this but there's a first for everything. I do not recommend this establishment but if you do go please sit at the bar with Bowin or Celine because they deserve a good tip to take home. I support them but not this establishment or Ron. The way you treat your employees is the way they will treat your customers. I will also not be dismissed by someone like this. At first I wasn't going to say anything because I'm on vacation but I will not stand for this nor support this.

We enjoyed the perfect complimentary bread, crisp crust soft middle along with the small bite to start a fantastic culinary adventure; we shared apps, the big meatball which was soft, tasty with a beautiful sauce; octopus carpaccio with arugula which was delicious; endive pear salad which had a vinaigrette with nutmeg, odd but mysteriously tasty. Dinner Husb had salt encased branzino; we shared their daily stuffed pasta which was shrimp & scallop; the 8 cheese risotto was a hit; eggplant gnocchi, and buckwheat pasta with potatoes. All was enjoyed. I chose the rabbit which was tasty, the big flaw of the dish were all the tiny little bones ..I don't have a problem with bunny on the bone, my problem was all the teensy ones that made the dish impossible to enjoy, the black jewel rice and shard were nice accompaniments. The recommended wine was delish. Dessert was yummy we shared their creme brulee, panacotta (table fav) pistachio cheesecake. Since it was a birthday, chef came and sang which was a special treat.

They were priced well, around $12-14 which is fair! It was Thursday, and they offered a special of a steak sandwich for $10. You could add truffle fries for $5 and a martini for $5. The atmosphere: The restaurant is ultra modern with a bit of all natural spliced in. It offers dining and a small store to buy some of their offerings. The service: Service was efficient and although our food took longer than expected to arrive, our server kept visiting us to refill our drinks. The food: We all had burgers and fries. The burgers were tasty and juicy and the fries were great. We also shared a honey pie dessert which was also an interesting offering and well made. The bottom line: As always with my reviews the bottom line "customer so what" would we come back? The answer... nope! I'm sure your asking, If the service was good, the atmosphere nice and the food great, why would we not come back? The answer is the price. It's not often I pay over $100 for burgers, fries, a shared dessert and drinks but we did here. The food was good but not THAT good that it warranted that kind of price.

No, you don't cry; you drink a beer, eat some wings, get that work done... and get on with your life. Their kolsch is a solid pour that was good for the couple of hours I nursed it while I worked on finalizing my proposal at the bar, while the UNC college football game played overseas in Ireland and I ate wings. Their wings were solid, but I didn't taste much Nashville hot seasoning, despite ordering it and being told that it was that. It was more a tasty buffalo sauce than anything else. Still, I enjoyed them with the bleu cheese, even though they came first with ranch, which I despise. Don't eat ranch. It is the devil. The brewery taproom is a good spot to hang out and watch sports, have a beer or two, while noshing on some food. Gluten-free-wise, they do offer spirit cocktails, which is nice. But food-wise, it's limited to salads and tacos if you order them with the corn tortillas. Just make sure nothing on the menu description says "fried". My wife enjoyed her salad, so that was a plus. Anyway, Ocean Republic is a solid brewery hangout on US 1 if you're in Stuart or passing along, singing a song, without banging a gong.
