This is my first time trying this place. I had the Chicken Park with roasted potatoes. It was delicious. I got the half portion which was still enough for 2 people or leftovers. Mom had the Chicken Alfredo and she said it was good as well. As you see its piled high on the plate. It look to me to be more noodles then anything but they do give you a good amount of chicken. The cheese bread was good. As much as I love garlic this was a little to much for me because they had a gang of cooked sliced garlic. I mean ALOT. Over all I like it the food was very good. I'll will definitely be back. read more

Went to eat there, but was never able to actually order. We waited 45 minutes for a table, which I didn't think was that bad, but it didn't make sense as there were tables available. While we waited at the bar, no one asked us if we wanted anything. Finally was able to get seated, but after 15 minutes and no one coming to our table after the hostess sat us, we finally decided it was best to leave. The food looked good, but the management of the restaurant looked very poor. read more

One of my favorite places to eat. Huge portions! The lasagna is one of our families favorites. We always order the full portion which enough for my husband and son to eat for dinner and lunch for them both the next day. The Caesar salad is so good with large pieces of shaved Parmesan on top. The bread they serve is also very good. It comes with a side of marinara and sprinkled Parmesan on top. I haven't had anything I didn't like. It's our favorite Italian restaurant. read more

This restaurant is extremely good! I had the Dominick's Ravioli. Half portions are MORE than enough! Great service - even for our very large group. read more

Very expensive for bad quality food... the sauce was sour and ruined everything. For as fancy as it looks and costs, save your money and go to Provinos. read more

Sorry folks. Have been a customer for over 20 years and last night confirmed what we feared. Over the last 5 years it has been a steady decline and the service was awful. List of complaints. All food was average at best. Bread hasn't been good for years, it might be a time for a change. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs and chicken parmesan. Chicken came with a side of spaghetti ( it would have been nice to know and offered a sub). No salad not even offered. I will take responsibility for that one. We had to beg for more gravy and a water. Food is consistently average leaving us to finally believe it's not an off night they must believe it's good and leaving us with the best option of removing them as a goto place. read more

Had a fabulous meal this evening! The mussels were fantastic, very tender in a delicious white wine sauce. The spinach salad was fresh, lightly dressed, simply delicious. Main course was tilapia over angel hair pasta, the tilapia was a thick filet, melt in your mouth texture, seasoned well. Finished with a superb slice of cheesecake with raspberry sauce. Simply delicious! Looking forward to the next visit! read more

My family and I ate here last weekend...so not impressed. We got two half-portions and when the waitress brought the food to our table, I found it to be disgusting. Just looked like big blobs of cheese, pasta, and sauce. Huge turn-off. The lasagna had a very strange taste to it...almost like the noodles were wheat. The eggplant in the eggplant parm was burnt and there was way too much cheese. Do not ever plan to go back! read more

Food is good. Servers are Great. Manager and Front desk people have zero customer service skills. They are nasty with customers and lazy. We arrived at 1:40 PM and they said they were closed - even though open until 2PM. Manager was nasty about it even though we said we drove a distance to get there. Other times the few times they are full, they just turn you away off hand not even offering a chance to make a reservation. We had been going there several times a month, but no more, we are tired of this indifferent customer service. read more

Calamari, Chicken Portobella, Lasagna were excellent. The Chicken Marsala was very bland and rubbery as it is when make the previous day. Service was excellent. Family style atmosphere not for intimate dinner. Portions were way to large. read more

Our family has made reservations for 16 people tonight, December 23rd. 2014. We are expecting great food and service. Please don't disappoint us. After reading all these reviews, I am hesitant to dine here but will not be swayed by these bad reviews read more

How does an Italian restaurant run out of garlic bread? We should have walked out at that point. Ran out of clams? Strike 2. Asked for some dipping olive oil for the free bread they offered which was nothing like Italian bread....more like a sweet roll...and they brought a plate of canola oil! You can't make this stuff up! Strike 3. Never never will return. read more

Stopped in for takeout. I was greeted at the door with a big smile and food was ready to go. My husband had the Alfredo linguine and chicken. He said it was awesome and I had the baked ziti with meat sauce. Very good. Try the garlic bread with cheese! It was gooood. read more

Ate here tonight after it was suggested. I wasn't thrilled with it but my wife thought it was ok. My son enjoyed the meatballs. They charge for garlic rolls :( we had the lasagna and fettuccine alfredo. Wish we had tried the antipasta. Also the half portions are very large. I might go back again one more time to try the antipasta but otherwise it's not a place that I would frequent as other as other Italian restaurants. read more

The resturant was crowded doing a brisk business for a Sunday night. While the garlic bread and the spendini garlic loaf are delicious. Our entree of Chicken Marsala was dismal. The sauce was so salty we could not enjoy the dish at all. My husband and I intended to share this dish, we had just a couple of bites. Thankfully we had enjoyed the bread and Caprese Salad. When the waitress inquired, we told her it was too salty to eat. She made no apology, nor did she offer a replacement dish. Two other couples in our party enjoyed their dishes. There seems to be a lack of concern on the part of the staff, the manager never came to inquire about another entree choice either. Will take this off our list for Sunday night dining choices. read more

Food was cold. Garlic was burnt and management did not care. Never going back. Neff said.

Food was good. Service was ok. Had to ask for lemons for the water 3 times. Biggest problem is the lack of handicap spaces near the door. Also the access ramp was at the end of tne block or in the back. Definitely thumbs down for the shops handicap access. Hard to believe that it is up to code especially for a newer building. read more

We absolutely love this place, the food is so delicious and is always prepared perfectly. The Chicken Marsala and the Chicken Saltimbocca are both delicious. The Sicilian salad, antipasto salad are also yummy! The portions are huge and we always leave with a to go box. They have a fabulous wine list as well. read more

I have been going to Dominick's for 15 years. The original location in Norcross is, and always has been, wonderful. I was thrilled when it grew and built a location in Lawrenceville because it was so much closer to home. The Lawrenceville location isn't anywhere near as good as the original, but it was still okay. I have usually had fairly good experiences in Lawrenceville, but other family members have been unimpressed. We just visited the Buford location and had a terrible experience. It seems that this is one of those cases where the larger they get, the lower the quality goes. We went to the Buford location on New Year's Eve. We expected it would be crowded, so we made a reservation. Because of the holiday, we expected service would be slow. We went in knowing that certain allowances would need to be made for the holiday. We were shocked at how bad it was. 1. We waited nearly five minutes before we were even greeted. 2. They did have our table ready. However, the table cloth was dirty. 3. I ordered a bubbly wine. It was flat. I asked for a new glass. The second was flat as well. 4. The food was horrible. The meatballs were dry, and the marinara sauce was under seasoned. The marsala sauce looked and tasted like paste. All of the chicken was overcooked. The risotto was overcooked, dry, clumpy, and under seasoned. The risotto was supposed to come with tiger shrimp, but it had just regular cocktail shrimp that was rubbery and flavorless. 5. Our server never came to check on us after we received our food. We watched him for over fifteen minutes and were never able to get his attention. We finally asked another server to get him. We had to wait another five minutes before he came. 6. Our server did take my meal, the risotto, off the ticket since I ate maybe three bites. He offered to bring something else, but I had no confidence that anything else would be of any quality. 7. We asked to see the manager, but he never came. Our server said that he asked the managed to come see us twice. I will grant that the whole restaurant was in the weeds, and the manager was performing multiple roles. It was clear that several people had not shown up. However, the fact that the manager never actually came to see us is inexcusable. After thirty minutes of waiting for the manager, we left. On the way out, I grabbed the manager and told him all of this. He apologized profusely, but did nothing more. He asked that we come again when they were less busy. However, I have no desire to repeat this experience. My fiancé and I are getting married in October. We were considering the Buford Dominick's as a rehearsal dinner venue. We love the ambience in both the Norcross and Lawrenceville locations and have always had good experiences in both locations. However, we were wrong to assume the Buford location would be as good as the other locations. Needless to say, I will not return, and we will not have our rehearsal dinner there even though it is the only restaurant in town with a private room large enough to accommodate our whole party. This location is giving all the others a bad reputation. read more

1 server for dinner hour. Ceaser salad was the thinnest I have ever tried. Didn't eat nor had chance to even get attention or server to send back. Never will return... Ever read more

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Buford!! Their food is delicious! My husband and I love coming here for date night. The spedini garlic bread appetizer is one of the best things I've ever eaten! The portions, even the half, are huge! Their sangria is amazing! They have a lunch special of $7 that includes a soda and Italian entree. The prices here are shockingly affordable for how delicious the food is! We've always had great food and service here! I would recommend Dominick's to anyone! read more

My girlfriends and I went out for a girls night and we heard really great reviews about this restaurant. Unfortunately, our waitress was a witch. She was extremely rude. Didn't even ask us how we were doing. Overpriced restaurant for the food, it wasn't good at all. We were so disappointed that we decided to go out after elsewhere. Not recommending and not returning. read more

I will never eat here again. Service was fair and the food was overpriced and not good. The veal Marsala was thick pieces of veal roast with an overly floured wine sauce and mushrooms poured over it. Edible, but not veal Marsala. It was better after it was warmed up and returned to us. The $3 garlic bread was good, but should have been free. We shared our concerns with the waitress who told the owner, who did not come over to talk to us. This restaurant needs to improve or close. read more

6 of us dined last night at Dominicks in Buford for Valenitnes day. IT WAS AWFUL. Awful service with decent food. When I called the manager, Coy, today to tell him everything that went wrong, he was full of excuses as to WHY things went wrong instead of trying to fix the problem. I will not eat here again! If I want Dominicks, I will travel to the Norcorss store and hope for the best! read more

Let me preface this by saying it was New Years Eve when we dined. We arrived approximately 10 minutes early for our 7 PM reservation and were seated right away at the worst table right by the bar/waiting area very close the door. There were plenty of tables in the back room that couples with out reservations were being sat. They were short staffed the night we were there which is not uncommon for places on NYE. The Manger was playing hostess and unfortunately our server had to also play bartender. She was very nice and apologetic about the situation. We forgo an appetizer and decided to share a Caesar salad which was good but a little to heavy on the dressing. For entrées my wife ordered the veal parm with pasta and marinara and I ordered the lasagna as well as a side of meatballs. The veal was quiet good and the red sauce was very tasty with just enough spice. The lasagna on the other had was cold. Most Italian places I have eaten at build lasagna to order and it is served right from the oven. Dominick's it seems builds large pans and reheats servings as needed. Regardless, my serving was not reheated enough. The middle layers were frigid. The leftovers were good after being thoroughly heated though. We did not order dessert as we really did not have much interaction with our server and the wait times for our food was considerable. After spending close to $100 for 2 glasses of wine, a salad, a side and two entrées, I would have to call my experience with Dominick's less than stellar. read more

I've been going to the Buford restaurant for nearly a year. The food is great. The service is great. Take-outs are also great but the way they are bagged is not so great. In all, it is a great place. read more

Amazing! I am a big fan of the Dominick's locations in Buford, Lawrenceville and Norcross but frequent the Buford location the most. The cheesy garlic bread is a meal in itself and all the salads are group portioned and fresh. We always go with family or friends and no one has ever had a dish they did not love. Service is always terrific. Monday nights are half price bottled wine night. The restaurant itself has a classier atmosphere and is geared more for a nice adult night out without the kids. read more

We decided to try the Dominick's in Buford because we had a coupon for $15 off the total bill, but much to our dismay, they would not take our coupon even though it clearly lists their location on the coupon and the coupon had not expired. While the food was OK, we will probably not ever go back because it was certainly a shock when we ordered almost $100 worth of food. read more

Never going again!! Understaffed is an understatement! We saw our waitress twice once to take our order then to give us our check! Sauce has absolutely no flavor and the restaurant is run down! Don't waist your money or time! read more

Wife and I have been to the Dom's in Norcross probably 6 times over the last 10 years. It was always a LOT of food and perfectly acceptable. Understand that I am a Chamblee, Jawja, boy, raised on hominy, fried chicken, BBQ, miso soup, sukiyaki, zoni, and sushi (read my self-description, Bubba-san). I grew up in a culture that featured baked spaghetti casseroles and liked it. I never had a pizza until Pizza By Candlelight opened in Decatur, corner of Candler and College, next to the Tiddly Tots from Agnes Scott, sometime in 1964. I can garontee you those pies were not the prime attraction at the time. Not until I ventured to San Fran in 1984 did I have a clue as to what REAL Italian dining should be, including the food. I mean, when all you've ever eaten came from Chef Boyardee, you're just set up for an epiphany. "What does that have to do with Dominick's?" you ask. Ah, dear reader, a review is about the reviewer's point of reference as much as it is about just the food. If I had never been to Italian food heaven, I would have wiped my sleeve on my mouth and screamed the virtues of Dominick's from the rooftop, and other unilluminated diners would've agreed. But I have been to nirvana, so "meh!" is my brass-clad review. However, the charming, efficient, and ever vigilant serving skills of Karen, our waitress, propelled the verdict to three stars-"A-OK". Oh yes, the food portions here would feed eight of us oldsters, or two 16 year old jocks. BIG, I'm sayin'! read more

We were looking for a nice Italian restaurant that was not noisy. We liked the reviews and decided to give it a try. I looked at their website and was disappointed in their wine list. They serve wine you can but at CVS. We took our own wine. They had one waitress for the whole dining room. She was very sweet and friendly.. We got the crab cake appetizer and it was fabulous even though it took about 30 minutes. My husband got the Tortellini and it was great. I got the Shrimp Fettuccine and it had no flavor what so ever. I got the half order and their was so much pasta you could not taste the shaved garlic. They should have used minced garlic. They should change the half order size to be a full order. Buford does not have a nice upscale Italian restaurant. I think they need to up their game. read more

Myself and my boyfriend went to this restaurant on Valentine's day this year i had the worst looking food served to me it looked like a huge pile of cow dung covered in red sauce (eggplant parm) when they saw my reaction to it they looked amused instead of being concerned at my digust they obviously don't care about acquiring new customers they knew it was only my second time there it would have been nice if they had explained to me that a half order was a huge ugly pile that was enough to feed a group of very hungry constuction workers very distgusting and the staff very smug read more

I met a friend here for dinner a couple of weeks ago on a Tuesday night. Upon entering the front door, I was promptly ushered to the back dining room as there was a "function" going on in the main dining room. Fine. Whatever. The food took forever and my bill for two entrees and a to go meal was $70 before tip. We were the only ones left in the "back" dining room at 9pm and were asked by the waiter to EXIT through the back door as to not disturb the "group" in the main dining room. Um, yeah, I will NOT be visiting again. I drive past this place at least four times a week on my way to pick up my daughter and there are hardly any cars there so I think they need to do a better job at customer service and have no room to snub any paying customer. read more

Obviously the management is having a hard time training and keeping servers. We came in for a Saturday evening dinner. After having tea dumped in my companions lap, I had water dumped in mine. Followed by a move to another table, a non-impressive salad, an ok calamari, and HUGE half-portions. But no comment or apology from the manager while we were sitting in our wet pants, no offer of a compensation of even bread or dessert, and a mostly disappearing server. We had to request and re-request Pelligrino, since most of the bottle was spilled. What a disaster. Even other patrons apologized to us and sent us sad smiles, but not the manager. Never again. read more

Had a reservation on New Years Eve @ 8. Got there @ 7:30. The place did not look all that busy. We sat at the bar to wait on our table and we were the only ones at the bar. The bartender did not even look our way not even to say that he would be right with us. After 15 min of being ignored we heard 2 different tables come to the bar and say they had been sitting at the table for 10-15 min and nobody has even greeted them. I dont know if they were shorthanded or not but this was bad service. I understand a place being busy but at least greet your guests and tell them you will be right with them as soon as possible. Just a terrible experience. read more

I went to Dominck's in Watkinsville and the food and service was excellent, this ain't Watkinsville. The marinara sauce at brought with the bread seemed like it was burnt, but it wasn't terrible. Granted we arrived at 8:30 PM and they close at 9:00, so I was willing to cut them some slack. We ordered Arancini di Riso as an appetizer and it was cold in the middle, so we sent it back. The next order came out and was again, cold in the middle. As we were telling the manager about the second order our entrees arrived. I ordered the Chicken Scarpariello which has roasted potatoes. The first potato I cut into was hard, and yes, it was mostly raw. I very rarely send food back. I can't ever remember telling restaurant staff I just wanted to please leave, but this place brought me to it. This is by far the worst dining experience I've had in quite a long time, and I don't mind eating at Waffle House, they make sure their food is cooked. read more
