Domaine Mamo combines excellent Franco-Italian cuisine with the familiarity of a neighborhood cafe in a lovely modern setting. I had dinner there while visiting Toronto. If you're in the area, it's a must try.

I went here with my partner for his birthday and we had a lovely time. Delicious food with thoughtful service in a bright yet romantic environment.

The kind, attentive service was outstanding, the food exquisite, and sitting outside in the flower rimmed quiet patio made the ambiance just what we wanted. We had dinner there 3 out of the 5 evenings of our trip, it was so outstanding!!! And, we were welcomed warmly each night by Khalid, making us feel like VIP's! His menu suggestions & wine choices were perfect! And my sincere compliments to the Chef who prepared our fine appetizers, breads, pasta, and dessert. They deserve 5 stars! Truly excellent!!

Donatello is considered a fine dining Italian restaurant. And it didn't disappoint. The foid and…read moreservice were excellent. The vibe was a slightly darkened room (for the evening). There is an upstairs balcony seating but I've never sat there. During warm weather, there is plenty of roadside outdoor seating too. This is my fourth time here but I never wrote a review fir the restaurant before. We ordered the following: 1. Shrimp Perno (daily special $6/shrimp). Jumbo Shrimp sautéed in garlic, white wine, tomatoes, scallions, and finished off with a shot of perno liquor. 2. Rack of Lamb (daily special $59.95). Four pieces of lamb in a rack, with a rich portion wine reduced sauce, that has a touch of mint to it, and Penne Pasta in a tomato rose sauce. The table bread was really good. The crust was crispy but the inside was fluffy. The soft butter that came it was so tasty. The bread was perfect for dipping in the sauce that came with the shrimp. We asked for a second basket of bread and they put two loafs in the second basket. It was too much so they were willing to let us take it home. The shrimps were definitely jumbo. It was so filling. Two pieces (per person) were good enough as an appetizer. The shrimps were perfectly cooked. We requested the lamb be cooked medium rare. It was definitely medium rare. It was juicy and did not have a gamey taste. It tastes great. The pasta was perfectly al dente. The tomato rose sauce was really good. They offered to grind parmesan cheese and pepper so we got both. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots. Review 2025-187

Had the spinach & kale salad and then their Risotto with truffle and grilled beef, plus their grilled fish - both were to die for. Extremely well flavored. Helping was very large. Enjoyed it. This restaurant came up in my search as one of the best Italian restaurants in the yorkville area so of course I had to give it a try. I was looking at reservations online and it was completely booked so I just tried my luck as a walk in for 1 and the hostess was incredibly sweet and got me seated. I ordered a glass of wine, the beef carpaccio and the cavatelli. Everything was absolutely delicious, BUT the service was incredibly lacking. The carpaccio came out relatively quick, but after that... silence. Not once did anyone come to check in on me, and I was sitting there for at least 30 minutes before finally flagging g down my server to ask about the status of my entree. After that it came out almost immediately. For this seemingly nicer restaurant in one of torontos most upscale neighborhoods, I had high expectations for this restaurant all around. I definitely recommend the food, can't say I recommend the experience.

I have returned here many times, sometimes alone, and it rewards solitude as gracefully as company: a glass of something thoughtful, a small plate to nibble on, and the city's downtown energy drifting past like street theatre. The wine list leans curious, the sort that tempts you toward a bottle you never planned to order. Small plates such as the burrata and antipasto act as honest companions to the glass rather than showpieces, and that is precisely their charm. Inside, the room is intimate and warm, well suited to a date. An unhurried hour of wine and people watching, few corners in the city do it better.

This is a wine bar - the house lager was bad (maybe my own bad decision) and the red I got was fine ... nothing to write home about. However place fell apart with the food - the shrimp came with 5 medium sized shrimp with the tails, legs and shells on and were under seasoned. The artichokes were mediocre (loved the sauce they came with). Worst of all was the "Ontario peaches" with the burrata were totally canned peaches - could've even been dole brand! This place has amazing potential with the location and vibe - but the food just was not it. Small portions and the price didn't match what was served. The service was friendly but nothing too crazy. Go here for the drinks, but maybe not for the dinner!

In the end only waited 15 minutes. The restaurant is lively, with some tvs showing sports. We ended up in a booth which was perfect and very comfortable. The restaurant was a little loud, but the booth was intimate enough we could still talk and catch up. Our server was perfectly attentive. I got a glass of red wine and the spaghetti and meatball. I was impressed with the size of the portion - I couldn't finish it. The meatball was one massive one, and simply delicious. It was juicy and tender. For dessert, we shared the chocolate cake, which came with pistachio ice cream. Mmmm! Would highly recommend Scaddabush for a casual yet elegant dining experience with friends!

Lots of decent beers on draft and they leave water bottle to refill your water cups, which I love. Service is bit slow. Had to sit at the bar since it was crowded at 6:30pm and still had to wait 30 mins. I normally don't eat at the bar, since bartenders are slower and busier with drink orders, but I was starving. Bartender only checked on us once, when food came out. Hard to get their attention too. Food, however, was amazing! Love the savory giant meatball and the rich San Marzano tomato-based marinara sauce, with dab of pesto and plenty of fresh basil. Loved the sauce was not too acidic and pasta cooked perfectly, not al dente. The focaccia bread comes with this rosemary garlic butter, and it was absolutely delicious on focaccia. The focaccia bread alone was just okay, not much rosemary or oil flavor, but I think the spread had all the flavor. Amazing and worth $6.
