Standouts included: Le Homard - Nova Scotia Lobster, Coffee Papagayo, Plantain, Sweet-Pepper: Excellent dish that chef has won an award for. Fantastic flavours top to bottom. I think having caviar at the top would have made it even better though. Le Pithivier - Beef Wellington "À la Française", Foie Gras, Spinach, Mushrooms, Beef Jus : I added this for $80 and it was delightful. As an add on i I suggest sharing this as it is substantial. Since we couldn't decide between an appetizer or dessert to go with our main, we were able to add the third course for just $10 more. I started with the mushroom soup, which was super delicious and gluten-free. For my main, I ordered the crispy salmon, which I found to be just okay. The salmon had a bit of a fishy smell when it arrived at the table, which was slightly off-putting, and it was also a tiny bit dry. That said, the dish was otherwise good. For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse, which wasn't overly rich and was a nice way to finish the meal.

I can't say that the either of the tatare were good - the quality was ok I suppose, but a lot of people working in kitchens seem to have forgotten what a tartar should taste or feel like.... The frites were fine, and the server surprised us with a welcome to Toronto dessert (we had just moved back). Overall, I would come back for a bottle of champagne and try different items from their menu.

Obviously we both had to order the Birdbath Martini ("Quill Gin, House Vermouth Blend, House Orange Bitters, Lemon Oil, Olives and Pickled Onions"). And yeah, it's incredible. The tableside preparation was certainly an impressive sight, and the taste of the drink was superb. Definitely one of the best martinis in the city. For my main, I went with the Bay Street ("shaved prime rib, tobacco onion, horseradish aioli, grilled baguette, frites") and after an unusually long wait, the plate arrived to the table. I can't say I was super impressed. The meat is tender and flavorful, yes, but the bread is so plentiful and so crusty that it pretty much negated the sandwich's positive attributes. I ultimately wound up leaving most of the bread and eating the scant prime rib. The fries were quite tasty, at least. Far more problematic was the service. Our waiter was absent for much of our meal. Our water glasses were empty for most of our time in the restaurant, and he never showed up to ask us if we wanted another drink, which we certainly did. We each probably would've ordered a couple more cocktails had the guy not vanished. So yeah, the martini was indeed excellent. Everything else? Not so much.

The salt was minimal, and it tasted so clean, fresh, and well put together. Paneer with makhni was also included playing heavily on the delicious Indian flavors that were so full of umami taste, I could not believe this dish did not have meat. The chicken was one of my favorites with a smoked butter sauce. I could not believe white meat could be this tender and moist and absorb flavor so well. The fish was also great, as was the dessert, a rhubarb tiramisu to give a tangy contrast to the mascarpone cream. This was tasting menu #248, and the menu will change about every 2 weeks it seems like, which is amazing. Finally, I loved that explicitly state that tips are not accepted despite the amazing service and elevated food. I definitely would want to come back again, knowing there's a lot more creative ideas to try in different dishes while having a very solid cooking foundation.

I had originally wanted to order the duck, but knew at my first bite exactly why Richmond Station is so popular. The burger came medium rare and was pasture raised beef with aged cheddar and chutney. The fries were a tiny bit burnt but still good, and the aioli it came with was great. Yum! Loved my meal here and would definitely come back for the tasting menu next time!

I realize this is personal preference. Overall, it was good but nothing incredible to justify the higher spend. It was really heavy with the cheese and oils. I couldn't really enjoy it but he seemed to like it. Meat was definitely juicy! We ordered a side of truffle fries which I think lacked truffle flavour, but were delicious anyway. It came with a light aoli and they were similar to frites. Soo good! 100% would recommend it. For dessert, we had the strawberry pavlova and lemon meringue pie. The pavlova was too sweet and the pie was quite sour. So funnily enough, mixing the two was perfect. The restaurant officially closes at 9 p.m., but they accept reservations until around 8:15 p.m., continue taking orders after that, and allow guests to stay and finish their food and drinks at a relaxed pace. The menu is simple and approachable, with appetizers, shareables, mains, cocktails, and a selection of red, white, and sparkling wines. The food was good, the service was friendly, and everything was enjoyable, but nothing felt particularly extraordinary. One thing worth mentioning is that the restaurant's popular cheese-topped bread, which was previously complimentary at the original Aloette location, is now offered as a menu item at the Bay location for an additional charge.
