Tried to leave an honest google review for this venue and guess what? They had it removed because it accurately reflected how miserable it is to attend a show here. So, HERE is that review of Domaine nightclub in Atlanta: Visited domaine to catch deadmau5 when he was in town a few weeks back. WORST venue I've ever been to in Atlanta. First off, why did you convert your main dance floor into a 10 ft wide hallway? It's like you designed it to ensure crowd crushing dynamics happen. Want to get near the middle of the dance floor two hours before the headliner goes on? Good luck! you are gonna be fighting for hours inch by inch into people who already have no room to spare until you *maybe* get there. IF you do, you're gonna find there's not any more room to breathe in the middle and everyone who made it that far is also miserable. People were getting exhausted simply trying to maintain their spot and I heard at least five different people exclaim outloud that they hated being there. I watched some people attempt to shove their way forward, and for the first time ever I saw them actually get denied due the sheer lack of physical space. Literally the venue got to a point where there was no way they could even *shove* themselves forward, because every single inch was occupied by a person already. It was disgusting. I can honestly say that *CATTLE ON A FACTORY FARM HAVE MORE SPACE THAN YOU WILL HAVE* in general admission. Meanwhile over in VIP, it appeared that for many of the people, simply enjoying their seat in the booth was not sufficient. They had to sit on TOP of the booths, which funny enough blocks the view for all the people in general admission on the left and right sides attempting to find some way to enjoy the show they paid for. Of course, 2/3 into that show the VIP areas were completely empty. Which is wild because at least 30% of the total floor space was completely vacant while the other 70% were suffocating. Keep in mind I am 6' 2" and I could barely see, so if you're shorter than me you have absolutely no chance. I have been around the Atlanta EDM scene for 10 years and this venue is hands-down the worst i've ever seen. Thankfully, there are so many other good venues to choose from that we can all avoid this place the owners come to realize they have taken a once functional nightclub, and turned it into a total nightmare for 90% of their customers in an attempt to make more money on bottle service and VIP tickets. There is absolutely no reason to go see an act at Domaine. read more

In my day, this was Opera. Now the only thing I see marketed is thus shit show we went to. It was great Apollo style entertainment on a Wednesday. Very expensive after 9pm for entry. Parking goes from $20-$30. Entry is $20-$40 per person for VIP. Looks the same inside with a ton of non-stationary "The Shit Show" branding. It was a good time, my only complaint it the cost of entry and parking. This is why I avoid doing things downtown and midtown. read more

One of my go to clubbing spots in Midtown. They have great performances like Loud Luxury or other bands that have played here. In the summer, they have Midtown Beach Club on the roof, which is basically pool party and fun ambiance with music on their roof! read more

I was warned about this place many, many times on other social media platforms, but it was Deadmau5, so I had to get tickets. I can tell you right now, if you're not paying for a table or you're not planning to show up with a big group at like 10 pm to stake out a decent spot someplace, don't bother. This club is notorious for overselling and packing everyone in like sardines. I know the vibe they're trying to replicate is that of a high-end nightclub like LIV, but even those clubs pack people in like this. It's awful and will ruin the experience of seeing an artist you love. read more

Interesting experience! 1 star for the performer Pauly D and another star for being able to enter quickly, HOWEVER, everything else was odd. I got my disposable camera taken from security because it wasn't allowed? Not sure what sense that makes. I thought this place was great, had a great time, waitress was phenomenal. They also have a kitchen which I didnt know prior, I had the birger with potato wedges, it was outstanding. The lights and large LED wall along with the host on the microphone was a vibe for sure. read more

With so many good venues and some great (District) this venue is just terrible. The primary issue is they put the VIPs section(s) in the middle of the already small dance floor. There is no where to dance. Everyone PACKS into a 5 foot wide area between these worthless VIP sections to dance. Of course the VIP sections are mostly empty or have people sitting on couches, sucking the energy off the little sliver of dance floor that remains. The staff does nothing to help the overcrowding. They claim not to oversell, there is some outdoor space in a walkway you can stand too, but get ready to not be able to dance or move, unless you buy a $1500 table. I will not return until they remove this VIP section. read more

Is DOMAINE (AKA Opera rebranded) safe? Think again Atlanta. I just left this venue 10 minutes ago after being violently escorted off the floor. Why? Because when I simply stood in place when "Security supervisor" Alex made his way through the dance floor, and didn't immediately move out of his way, he interpreted it as confrontational, and instead of clarifying who he was so I could have the opportunity to move out of his way, he decided to put me in arm lock and shove me through the crowd towards the exit without a moment for me to even realize what was happening. I am a designated driver, completely sober, and absolutely appalled. When asked for an explanation, he proceeds to tell me that "I calmly said excuse me, and you shoved me". Dear reader, unless you have never been to a concert, you understand that using earplugs when you're exposed to decibels that literally and permanently damage your hearing is common. I can barely hear my own voice leave alone someone standing a foot 2 feet away from me. Did Alex bother to give me the benefit of the doubt? No. You have any number of people shoving you from either direction moving back and forth from the crowd so you have to stand your ground to some degree otherwise risk becoming a pinball in a crowd. I also had a friend who is female standing right in front of me and it is for SAFETY that guys stand behind their female friends and make sure random drunk guys don't just shove their way into the friends you came with. I have sunglasses on because the lights are sensitive to my eyes. Also common. Did he bother to make an attempt to make eye contact? No. DOMAINE, is this the over-aggressive, ego-bruised and insecure staff you employ that is now the face of security of your "new" venue? You've already had alleged sexual assault when you were called Opera, and now your own staff is assaulting your customers. I have been going to concerts for years. Not ONCE has this ever happened at ANY venue. EDC, Ultra and Tomorrowland are some of the best EDM festivals in the world, and even your local neighbors like Believe and District have security that are trained enough to make their presence known without being testosterone pumped attack dogs waiting for someone to set them off. They give folks enough time to make their presence known, and THEN act accordingly. Not only is this a massive disappointment for a rebranded nightclub with a history of problems, but a sincere concern for how employed staff can get away with this sort of behavior without any humility that THEY could have done something better. Do you want ego-driven security walking amongst your customers just waiting for someone to look at them funny, or people who actually care to know the difference between between an actual and subjective threat. I got manhandled like someone who was drunk during last call getting into a bar fight. And for what? Because I was two seconds too late in figuring out why some random man was throwing his weight around in the middle of a crowded dance floor where literally three other men are doing the same damn thing at any given time?? Your "Security Supervisor" Alex desperately needs anger management. I sincerely hope that as new management, you will listen to this earnestly and really put some thought and effort into people that you employ. If not, maybe the AJC, NBC, or any other local news agency will have the courage to pay attention to what happened tonight and have a conversation with me, so you will feel the need to do something. read more

Located on crescent Ave in midtown Atlanta, great for EDM and festival lovers. They also have dedicated nights for rap/top 40 and more. The staff really takes care of the venue and continues to impress me with the Artists they bring in. I've seen Sofi Tukker and Gryffin there. Saw a few DJs here. This club is a nightmare. VIP tables take up the entire dance floor and they oversell tickets. There is no where to stand and everyone is packed shoulder to shoulder even if you do find a spot. Unless you have VIP you're going to be uncomfortable here. There's security everywhere and you're going to encounter them pushing you out of the way to get through the crowd. As they have to do because there is no room whatsoever to stand. It's not a fun time seeing a show in this poorly planned environment. read more

This club is absolute trash for lack of better termonology. If you don't have VIP do not bother because you will not have a good time. The owner has connections from Las Vegas but if you don't have a table don't bother or you'll be miserable. Went to an event last weekend that was so oversold we were forced to listen to the performance from a room in the back of the venue, and never once got to actually see the performer. Any time we tried to get to where we could see the show we were met with screaming employees shining flashlights in our face and telling us we needed to move. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a nightclub, and will not be going back. read more

Honestly management is really horrible. They're rude as heck and don't actually care about customer service. The bottle girls push things you don't want. One bottle girl pushed MULTIPLE bottles of alcohol onto a group who were 6 months sober and went to dance to celebrate their sobriety. The poor group didn't touch the bottles of alcohol but were forced to order anyways. People like this club because it's EDM but Id never recommend it due to the horrible management and careless bottle girls/servers who are only pushing to make more money. Domaine is a top tier club in Atlanta. It's clean, great sound system, friendly and approachable staff, and awesome DJs. The crowd here is far better behaved and mature than many other clubs I've frequented in ATL which makes a HUGE difference. read more
