I had used this company for my first floor tiles and had a good experience so I decided to use them for my outdoor patio. Buying isn't a problem, they are very friendly. I waited 3 weeks for installation which also wasn't an issue. The actual installation took 5 days on under 700 square feet. No furniture had to ve moved they worked on a clean slate. But it took 5 days. After 5 months I noticed some tiles sounding hollow and to boot I Now have 2 areas where water pools. I called and a dozen tiles were removed and put back in place but more tiles ended up lifting from the cement. Apparently according to a manager, this is fine as long as there is no movement or cracking of grout. Do not use this company. They promised to come out and repair the remaining tiles and have not. Awful! I wish I can give them negative stars with this negative review. read more

I am very happy with the carpet and the end result; however, the installation process and the aftermath were a nightmare. Two of my closets have clloset systems and they were put back together wrong. One had the shelves leaning because they only installed one of the support legs, the other, I could not fit the drawer unit. Two chests of drawers were pulled apart. An armoir in the master bedroom had the support beam broken and it was fixed with a screw in the front of the unit. The computer was not working when they left, Two bookshelves that were anchored to the wall were left without the anchors. A painting was dropped, frame broken and glass cracked, no excuse whatsoever, only matter of fact: "yes, it fell". I had to pay a computer techhnician and a handyman to repair the disaster that was left behind after the installation. read more

They seemed fine at the sales end, and full house installation of vinyl flooring SEEMED ok. Then a few tiles cracked and we noticed movement as we walked over other areas. They have totally failed to accept responsibility, its ridiculously hard to get their people to show up and do corrective repairs, and their management has been unresponsive in offering solutions. read more

Yes here comes yet another 1-star review that Jeff can only reply to with inaccuracies and false statements. You don't get this many 1-star reviews by accident. My daughter and I went to buy a very expensive custom-order shag rug (thousands of dollars) for a tradeshow. I told the salesperson that I needed it by a specific date because I was driving it up to Virginia. The salesperson told us that he was going to call to confirm that we would be able to receive the carpet on time before we made the purchase. Needless to say, the carpet did not show up. I spoke with Jeff before driving to Virginia. He may be the owner. I explained what happened further letting him know about the horrid attitude I received from the insincere salesperson by the name of Vince. It was a cordial discussion. Jeff mentioned that he would try to refuse the shipment, yet I never heard back from him. He blamed this on a holiday yet never said, "Hey Chris, I am sorry that my salesperson did not let you know that the carpet would not be received because of a holiday issue delaying the transportation of it." Or... "Hey Chris I am sorry that the carpet company did not inform my salesperson of the pending delay; none of this is your fault." I got very busy with work and heard nothing for weeks assuming that the shipment of the carpet was successfully refused. Out of nowhere, I get a call. Upon checking the voicemail, I was notified that my carpet was ready for pick-up. I would not leave this review if they were not trying to block the chargeback I placed with my bank. I own a high-end manufacturing business that requires the utmost of great customer service and I can assure you that no salesperson should have an attitude toward a customer like Vince did to me. Jeff was told that my daughter and I were told by the salesperson that we would have the carpet for our deadline. Jeff chose money over ethics. Can I afford the carpet? Yes. This is not about the money, it's about doing the right thing. If I needed the money then one could say that I was trying to pull one over on them. Perhaps I even would have accepted this carpet at their cost if they had the courage to face me. Educated customers read educated reviews and choose to purchase elsewhere. This company may get away with scamming me but in the end how much money will they lose from customers that would have purchased until they read a review like this? Dolphin Carpet & Tile certainly has ads on TV promoting there business. We spent over $3,200 to put new floors in two rooms. Our AC unit leaked in the bedroom on the new floor. After a few calls to the company to come take a look and give us some advice they gave us a clear answer.. Too busy don't have enough workers to even look at it. Worst response to a customer in need I have ever had in 30 years of homeownership. Still will watch their catchy advertisements but not a chance would EVER buy or recommend them.. ever, ever, ever!! read more

If I could start with no stars I would. So here's the deal with this company, you want cheap flooring? Good news they have it. Bad news, ITS CHEAP FLOORING! The flooring is garbage and the customer service is even worse. The company tries to scam you the minute you walk in the store. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Pay a little extra and get something with quality. After fighting to get my money back with the company and my credit card I had the manager call and threatened me with a lawsuit. I finally smarted up and went right next door (literally) to home depot and got my entire house new flooring. I wish I had done that from the beginning. I purchased vinyl flooring earlier this year in March from Dolphin Carpet & Tile at the West Kendall store, 12770 SW 88th Street I was very content with the job that was done. However, I noticed a vinyl plank that was lifted in one of our bedrooms about a month ago. I reported the issue to the store and informed both Bill Raybon and Al Prieto of the situation. The installer named Leo, was sent to view the flooring and began to make up excuses which included " Possible heat affecting the planks"!! I went ahead and contacted the office once again and spoke to Al Prieto. Mind you that the warranty for installation is one year. Mr. Prieto just emailed this message today: "From looking at the picture something forced that floor to bend. Either a bed was dragged or a chest of drawers caught that seam. When it is defective or water it is a gradual soft turning up of the material. This damage is not due to product defect. Thanks, Al Prieto In other words all types of excuses are made instead of repairing a couple of planks that are under warranty. My impression of Dolphin Carpet & Tile is install at your own risk, due to the fact that if there is any type of defect, they will blame the consumer. I will never again shop at Dolphin Carpet & Tile. Nor will I ever recommend this company to anyone. read more

Me and my wife are renovating our home and on Friday of last week we decided to go and order the tiles . The first thing was only one person working and there where about 4 people in front of us. It took us over 45 min just to speak with the worker Carlos. His service was good and he is very knowledgeable . We bought the tile and Carlos told us that on Tuesday yesterday he was going to call us to let us know if the tiles where in the warehouse if not Wednesday at 9 AM we can pick them up. He also asked us to rate is job before we left the store . We had no problem with that . So the problem started today Wednesday the worker that's doing my job went to the store and the store Manager said that the order would not be there until Friday. I called Al the store Manager he answered the phone Extremely RUDE. I asked him several time's for the District Manger phone number and he continued to hesitate on giving it to me. I understand anyone can make a mistake what I can't understand is being RUDE. With all the commercials on TV and radio you would think first they would have more workers and Managers would be NICE. Never again Sorry . I would rather pay a mom and pop business than given it to them. read more

The installer, Marco, was prompt and courteous. He really hustled and got the job (2 bedrooms ) done, removed the old, moved the furniture, and installed the new carpeting, in just under 2 hours. I really liked this place and the people who work here. They're all VERY informative and VERY upfront about what works, wont work, what will look bad, techniques used, what installer should do, etc etc I will say this is definitely the go-to place for tiling your home or any place. Competitive rates and lots of options. As for bathroom tiles, I would try another warehouse or even home depot/lowes depending on what you're looking for because Dolphin only has a very small selection for bathrooms. I can't comment anything about carpet or that dept because I had no need for it but I would definitely let them be one of my first choices if they were so informative and helpful the way they were when I was searching for tiles. read more

Went in and got attended by Ed, easy process ordered and paid for my tiles good selection and prices. Only downside was he said he'd call us on Tuesday to let us know the status of the order and when to pick up the tiles... he never called we called tues and wedn and couldn't get through finally we called again Thursday and ed said the order was ready we went all the way to Doral to pick up and the order wasn't there it was in Deerfield so we wasted a trip for nothing. Won't be ordering from them again .. service and communication suck with this place. read more

Avoid Dolphin Carpet & Tile at ALL cost!!! We selected a carpet and Rick came to our home and measured to determine how much carpet was needed. He called the carpet representative from our home and confirmed that they had two remnant pieces in the warehouse that would fill our order. So we placed the order, put down our deposit, and scheduled installation in a month. When the installation crew arrived, we inspected the carpet before they took it out of their van - and it was the wrong carpet. We called Rick and told him we weren't accepting the carpet because it was the wrong carpet. He said that the installer had also called him so he had a call into their rep to find out what happened and to see if the carpet we wanted was available. Rick said he would call us back as soon as he heard back from their rep. He never called us back. The next day, we called the store and were told Rick was off. The day after that, my husband went into the store to find out what was going on. Rick said that the carpet we wanted was on backorder and would take another month. My husband told Rick that wasn't acceptable and that since the wrong carpet was ordered/delivered and that since the 2 pieces were remnants and hadn't been specially cut for us, we were canceling the order. Rick told my husband that they "never cancel orders", "it's not an option" since the owner of their company "Is an attorney." We took this as a threat. After reading other reviews about Dolphin Carpet & Tile, we came to realize that no matter what mistakes this company makes, they will not accept responsibility and they will threaten you with legal action if you don't accept their mistakes. We recommend driving to the next carpet and tile store as Dolphin Carpet & Tile isn't worth your time, money or stress. read more

I purchased my tile at the Kendall location. My only complaint is that I agreed on a price and then when the installers came they told me they have to level the floor and they explained why. BUT when I signed the contract for an agreed price I was never told that maybe my floor was not level and would have to pay an extra $650 to the installers. If I would have been told beforehand I would not have been caught off guard with that extra charge. Make sure you look at the contract because it does say you can be charged extra on top of the price you agreed to. Other than that everything is perfect. The grout was a little messy but as soon as I told them they came back the very next day to fix it and he will be coming again in 2 weeks to put the finishing touch. The tile I purchased looks and feels great no complaints, I only wish I would have done the whole house instead of just upstairs. read more
