But there is nothing to really make you want to stay. What I mean by this is: There is no cohesion between the stores to make a whole. So you don't feel like strolling around and look at everything. You feel getting your stuff done and to move on. It's an old mall that don't close because there is not much competition and people go there by habit. What I got instead was damage to my white leather seat--all due to carelessness and negligence. The technician failed to use the protective plastic bags that they have readily available and recklessly threw the tires into my car, despite them being covered in small gravel from the roads. The result? A puncture in my leather seat that could have easily been avoided with basic care and professionalism. I immediately reported the damage to the store, and an employee named Benoit came out, inspected the seat, and shook his head in disbelief at the sheer negligence displayed by the tire technician. He acknowledged the mistake and agreed that it should never have happened. At that moment, I was reassured that the store would take responsibility and resolve the issue. However, 90 days have passed, along with over 15 phone calls and two in-person visits, and I am still waiting for Canadian Tire to honor their commitment. Initially, the store agreed to repair the damage, but now, the manager, Sebastian, has chosen the tactic of simply ignoring the issue, assuming I will eventually give up. Sebastian, I assure you--I will not go away. This has gone far beyond poor service. It is now a matter of principle and accountability. A simple mistake could have been corrected quickly, but instead, I am forced to pursue legal action. To anyone considering service at this location: if you value your car and expect even basic customer respect, take your business elsewhere. The lack of professionalism and complete disregard for customer satisfaction at this Canadian Tire service center is unacceptable.
