I have looked at this shop for years (no pressure to buy) and finally found our dream chair. The prices are fair considering the quality and the skilled restoration and/or repairs. I am definitely going back!

I'm so happy to see something so cool happening in the spot, and with Atelier B and Butterblume right nearby it makes for a sweet little detour to this corner of the Mile End.

Need to decorate your pad?…read more Just come here. Seriously this is a gigantic Winners and Homesense all-in-one location at the Place Versailles mall, literally steps away from Radisson metro station. Like all Winners and Homesense, it can be hit or miss but I've walked away with more hits than misses at this particular location. You'll find all sorts of unique items for your home if you like to decorate like I do. Recipe books, rugs, olive wood cutting boards, vanity mirrors, hand-blown glass vases from Poland, you'll find all of that here and much more. I think because this location is farther away from the city center, it seems to stock better stuff. Not a big deal. If you're on the metro, it is about 20 minutes from downtown, but keep your ear buds on or read a book and you'll be here in no time. Also, if you like picking up and collecting quality recipe books, this Homesense is the best place for it. I have picked up classics like the 2 volume boxed set of "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" by Julia Child, the classic of Italian cooking "The Silver Spoon", "The Gourmet Cookbook Vol. I and II", all of it in hardcover and for a fraction of what you would pay for them anywhere else. The Julia Child set I often see online for $60+. I picked it up here for $30. It's always worth stopping here and looking because stock changes all the time here and you'd be very surprised what you'll find.

The entrance was very inviting, with such an array of lighting fixture exquisitely displayed. As I proceed inside the store, I never realized how immense the place was, with a stunning number of stylish and trendy lights. We also bought the LED light bulbs which comes with 5 years guarantee. Service was exceptional. Truly fell in love with this shop.

What started out as a sweet potter's co-op and boutique to showcase all of the handmade pottery,…read morehas now transformed into a beautiful café in the heart of Le Petit Laurier. It's still a co-op of about 10-15 different local potters, and the boutique still features a wide selection of absolutely gorgeous one-of-a-kind pottery, but you can now linger a little longer, nestled in a vintage chair or relaxing at the chunky central wooden table, sipping your espresso and taking your time to decide on which piece of handcrafted clay you need to take home with you that day. I've been here a number of times, typically to pick up affordable and unique wedding gifts for friends, or when I want to treat myself to a new piece for my own eclectic pottery collection (I pride myself on my collection). I am never disappointed. I come from a craft background and have a number of family members and friends who are established potters, so I know quality craftsmanship when I see it. I've always been *extremely* impressed by the pots, platters, mugs, teapots, plates and bowls that this collective kicks out. I often stop in my tracks on the sidewalk to stare at the ever-changing window displays, making a mental note to come back and get one of what I've just seen. There are a wide variety of styles: classic porcelain ware, arty stoneware with funky glazes, cutesy earthenware, hip decal work, high end vases and basins, some larger sculptural pieces, one-off wall tiles, and all extremely affordable and reasonably priced for what they are. Some of the glazes are to die for. They have a very large studio in the back, with an number of electric potter's wheels (not sure if they have kick wheels or not), and offer pottery classes to those who want to learn how to make muck into useful housewares themselves. Super down to earth bunch. Yep... I really DID just make that obvious pun...
