Even if these goods are out of your price range I think you have to acknowledge that the mix of carefully curated and restored Scandinavian mid-century design and local Quebec design is pretty lovely to look at in the two room storefront of this interior design shop on Beaubien.
Apparently you can get custom furniture made here using local materials and environmentally friendly paints and stains, and I have no doubt those are very nice, but personally I tend to treat HUS as a local gallery for oogling Danish chairs and ceramics.
If you enjoy the hunt and repairing your own finds you can certainly find pieces in this style for cheaper but the prices are fair for knowledgeable collectors I'm told, and the repair work is stylish and nice quality. read more
