Really like this Dollar Tree location as they have a great selection of items for great prices(obviously). It is well organized and staff is productive. Would appreciate more cashiers for a faster checkout, but understand the limitations. The absolute worst dollar tree I've ever been to! There was a line from the register all the way to the back of the store. Half the store was empty with crap on the floor. There was one guy who provided back up at the register and he was angry. He wouldn't talk to anybody unless it was the bare minimum. He wouldn't even be polite. I go to spend my money, and it's not growing on my tree, and I just am sick of spending money at a place where people would rather you not be there. I do not recommend this dollar tree! The store was a mess the guy at the register was asking for back up since the line to the register was all the way to the back of the store. On the 3rd attempt to call for back up the office manager office open and a lady told the guy that a women name Star would jump on a register. I have been a manager for sometime and my sister too. We understand that their is stuff to talk about but the customer comes 1st a saw a lady walk out with Mergendice from the store with out paying since their was really no customer service. By the time Star open the register I told her this is the reason you guys have bad reviews because your in the back office just talking while the customer wait in line for one register. Stars respond was we are managers. I was shocked of her response so I told her yea I am a manager too and I know how this should work. So she is a manager and at no point she appoligies for the wait or anything proving that Dollar tree has bad management. Well at least this store does. read more

The cashier Kyle, was very rude. He ignores the lines and walks away from the register waiting for someone to just come on up(Something I've observed the last 3 times I've been to this location). Other cashiers cue when ready for me so this was new. No greeting, just scans very aggressively and instead of taking things out one by one from the basket he knocked it over on its side letting all the items fall out. I found that quite lazy and unnecessary of him to do. Again, no hello not a word from this associate. I asked him for a bag to which he gave no reply to but proceeded to bag my items very quick and again aggressively. He even dropped items on the floor while bagging. You would've thought there's 8 people in line and he's the only one on the register. I look behind me and there's 2 other people in line. He just shoved all my items in the bag and said "god bless have a nice day." I was flabbergasted. Kyle be more patient and take your time. I'm sure you're getting paid by the hour not per customer you tend too. I also don't expect a conversation but a simple "Hello, do you need a bag?" Would be enough. Also, don't just walk away from the register. Make sure there's no customers left. You look like you can care less man. read more

We Walked in to DOLLAR TREE on Main St (next to Grocery Outlet) today at around 10:30 am with a group of students with disabilities, we walked in and did some shopping... after 15 min or soo a gentleman named Jake (manager) approached us with a very rude attitude, strong voice and just hes body language scared a few of our kiddos. We 3 staff tried to explain to him that our students have intellectuall disabilities and that we the adults were supervising them at all times. We explained that we did not see any sign in front of store about no back packs allowed. We offered him to ckeck our backpacks but he kept saying "store police " maybe over 10 times. Jake didn't allow us to even speak or explain the situation...He was extremely rude . He has 0 customers service, no emphazy what soo ever for our kiddos. I am very disappointed in this store and how kids were treated in their own community Shame on you dollar tree. We will no longer visit this place . We felt very discriminated and embarrassed to have him speak to is in that way in front of other customers, made us look nad as we were stealing. Manager Jake looks very unprofessional not only as a salesman but with he's appearance, he's pants were very low, and underwear were showing. I asked for hes name and he immediately asked me in return "what's yours" in just a very rude mannner. Not a smile not a thank you. Dollar tree please offer this young jentelman customer service trainings ASAP or you will be loosing more customers. Also put up a sing that says no backpacks allowed . read more

I went into the Main Street Store in Watsonville. The manager, Leticia is ver rude. I went in there as I do every month to buy my St Jude candles/ I asked a couple of employees if they can go in the back to get me a box but neither of them would. One worker said he wasn't allowed to go back there. The second one said he couldn't go back there either so talk to the manager. I spoke to the manager Leticia and she was talking in Spanish to the other worker to tell me she couldn't go back there either because they had just received a semi and she was busy. I told her I could understand you and she says well why do you keep asking me? She was very very rude. With all these complaints why don't they do something about their management? I go there once a month to buy a box of candles and they have always been professional and given me a box with no complaints. I took my business elsewhere. Something has to be done!!! read more

Dirty. Old dirty not new dirty. Managers say well we just got a truck in. I said no. This is old dirt. She didn't say anymore. Floors haven't been cleaned in days. Can't see what's in shelf because boxes are stacked in the way. How about you don't bring boxes out until you can put them away. Used to like this store when it was clean. read more

Hi there Yelp, This is my first time yelping. I like this Dollar Tree and I have shopped here for a while. And I like it, some times messy but still has most things I need. Thought they were going out of business because the store shelf's were so empty. But was reassured other day there was just a stocking delay. Took my friend from out of town there to day before I took her to lunch at Cilantro's (review to fallow next) that has never shopped at a Dollar Tree before. Finally shopping carts so that was nice. We were loading up on Halloween candy and such. I asked a woman that worked there where we might be able to find Clothes pins. She said to me -us She knew that there were three packages she knew of, and kindly put down what she was doing and took us right to them. And we continued on with our shopping. Here is where the 3 stars come in there would have been 5 especially with shopping carts! The nice woman that had helped us earlier was being barked at by another employee. It was a wasted of time what she was doing and needed to push fright, she said I have been working and opening boxes. (We saw her in Halloween section just as we had entered the door. We had seen her working, seemed to us that she was clearly working) We felt bad for her and spent a good part of our lunch talking about the bad bosses we had over the years. But I keep thinking of her. As he went on and on. (I know how rude that we where just staring) I saw her swallow, what I thought was her pride. And say What can I help you with, what do you want me to do? Going to keep shopping here any way it still the best Dollar Tree around unless you drive to Gilroy. That one is 5 stars all the time. Nice store. Good choice. BUT never enough tills open! Several times I have seen a queue of 10 people or more at the one open till though other staff are chatting by the office! I myself have walked out twice and have noticed several others doing this too. Once I rang in to complain and was told there wasn't anything they could do! Seems the manager has no interest in opening extra tills. ( there are 4 in the store). Will go back to using Green Valley instead. read more
