No shade to Wally World! I came here to purchase kiddie b-day gifts and was amazed at the inventory. They have everything from board/trivia games, like name that song from the 80's, 90's, etc., toys, shirts, books, baby stuff, electronics and more. So, I purchased a whole bunch of stuff, thinking I broke the bank (cuz I wasn't keeping track) and it was all under $30, including an 8lb medicine ball, and exercise mat. The cashier was super friendly and welcoming. The store was stocked with plenteous goods and the atmosphere was quite inviting. The store also plays some pretty upbeat tunes and I love when any music is played in stores, it makes the shopping experience more enjoyable. Anyway, I would definitely encourage folks to visit, you'll definitely make this one of your favs!

I stopped in here 3 days before Christmas because I'm really smart and full of good ideas. Of course, the place was packed. I was pretty much expecting that, so that wasn't a big deal. As the store name suggests: everything here costs $5 or less. While some things are a great deal: board games, art supplies, makeup pallets, t shirts, etc., other things are quite over priced: small figurines, water bottles, magnets. It's a balance and you have to decide what is worth the dough and what isn't. Right now you might be thinking, "Dang Marielle, you love a deal! Why only 3 stars?" Well, lemme tell ya- the organization here is non-existent. First of all, the store is open from 8am to midnight, leaving little time to make everything neat (I presume). Second of all, some people are raised in a barn and unfold shirts, look at them and leave them where they fall, mess up displays, open makeup, and generally leave the store in disarray. When I was here, I saw no staff on the floor and the only people working were checking people out. It would have been nice to have some staff walking around and at least trying to keep everything neat. I would have loved to really get in there and see everything they had to offer, but the store was so unorganized that I didn't even bother. Maybe I will try to go back after Christmas when people aren't out of their minds trying to track down the perfect give from Santy. One cool thing: I saw some kids in there picking out gifts with their own money and doing math and figuring out what costs what and how much they had to spend. I think that's a cool way to teach kids about money and spending, so that is a plus side of this store. They really do have some good items, so I'm hoping I can bump them up a star on my next visit.

Very cluttered, dirty, things thrown all over, pkgs open and thrown on the floor, you name it! Cashier was super rude as well. Didn't greet me, just hand gestured me to come up. I gave her some change (.75) to deduct before paying with my credit card and she said "thanks" and left the change on top of her register (assuming I gave it to her). I asked her if she was going to deduct it first prior to paying with my CC and she rudely told me that I didn't tell her that. I was like WTF? So she proceeds to tell me that she cannot take change as she doesn't need any so I asked her for 3 quarters instead and she stated that she couldn't give me any. Thank goodness I don't live in the area as I would not frequent this place again.

There really is a great selection of stores to choose from in the shopping mall. Situated right on the Mississippi river, at the end of Canal Street, this shopping mall is really easy to find. Once inside, the main thing you're gonna enjoy is being removed from the climate. Whether it's scorching hot outside, a day of full on humidity, or lost in rainy weather, you're gonna be out of the elements if you come shopping at this mall. That, in of itself, is a great feature of this New Orleans shopping establishment. You can pretty much find anything you need here. So, whatever clothing line, whatever type of clothing, whatever anything else you may need, you're probably gonna find it here. Great place to shop.

I like to shop stores like Johnston and Murphy, Tommy Bahamas, and explore Nordstrom Rack for deals. Parking is plenty and discounted, so don't forget to validate your parking ticket. There is a Cafe du Monde but there is usually a line so be patient. There is a somewhat hidden entrance in the Outlets that gets you to the neighboring Hilton without stepping outdoors which is convenient if you are staying there. The reason for 3 stars is that stores will randomly close leaving the mall seem empty. Some of the stores will solicit you to come get free samples of whatever they selling which could be annoying.
