I don't know how it's going to compete with Dollar Tree, which is just half a mile down the street. Literally. Well, it is your typical Family Dollar, but unlike Dollar Tree, everything is not a dollar. Now, they do have some good sales, like Oreos for $2.50, but their frozen food items are more convenience store priced than discount priced. It's like shopping at 7-11 without the lottery tickets and cigarettes. They do have brand names, and they do have sales, but if I want pipe cleaners or paper plates for a school project, I'll go to Dollar Tree. If I want convenience or a 6 pack of Kit Kats for $1.00, I'll shop here. Lots of parking and easy access on and off Keniworth Ave if you are heading North.

The have all sorts of like greeting cards , To all assortment of cards. They have rocks of valuables for collectors, They have ither great items for kids and adults cincerning nature . This place is if of the corner of a nearby School , And Somesort of insurance buildings. Across the street from the Olney Shopping Centers . They seem to be renovating since the old front part is blocked off and have to enter in the back area withva parking lot . It has a beautiful side garden to attract wildlife and attention of customers. Its a nice store almost Cabin Like to make it feel like home . I signed a job applications there for customer service and Cashier and Customer relations interactions . I hooe they choose me . I love nature as much as they do . The do have times in Fridays and Saturdays to have kid groups to teach about nature and the natural word we sll lie in and how yo protect it for Future Generations to come . I want to help mske a difference and help in customer interactions and share knowledge as well as learn off customers too . In the past since the pandemic behaviors that were caused were not American , Unprofessional Reprehensible unlawful inexcusable, Unjustifiable, Disrespectful and down right wrong . We all have to see it in every place of professional business that its never tolerated again . We have to learn to become Better and United than ever before. The olace of Backyard Naturalist should be a place of fun , Enjoyment fir all and to have Knowledge of our natural world to preserve it for future Generations. But one good thing is that the cashiers/customer service associates are always super friendly and efficient. That's one of the reasons why I keep coming back. Also the have a really good card selection. The type of cards that don't look like they actually come from a dollar store. They also have a great candy selection that's always stocked with my favorites. All in all this is a good Family Dollar and convenient to where my family lives. I'll definitely be back. Maybe they can clean up a little and I can give them a better rating next time.

The…read moreowner just called me and called me a liar and told me we don't deal with liars before telling me they will be refunding all my money, then hung up on me. I will be calling the better business bureau on Monday. Here is what happened: We bought a couch on 9/1 labor day weekend. We liked the couch but not the color of the couch. They told us it came in a different color so we asked to see it. They showed us the catalog. We checked that paperwork multiple times and asked about the color being different. They were trying to get out of there and I guess during their haste they made a mistake with the financing instead of 18 months which they agreed upon they put 12 months. They messed up the financing and so we walked out without that paperwork today. I had to go back a week later to sign the paperwork over again. They told me that they would have it all ready but I spent a good 30 minutes or more in the store waiting for the paperwork that day. At this point no one had given me a delivery window yet, so I inquired about it again because usually furniture stores give you a round about window. They just said someone would call me when it comes in. I had to call the store multiple times to try and get someone on the line to find out about delivery. Fast forward to the week of 10/15 or 10/16 someone calls me (this is after I called them that Monday inquiring about it again) and asks about a good day to deliver. I decide on a delivery date of 10/19. So I pay the people who are bringing the furniture to take away the old furniture. They disassembled it and took it out before bringing the new furniture up. When they start to bring the new furniture up I immediately notice it is the color of the one at the store and not a darker color like we wanted and were told multiple times we are getting. So now we are left with nothing. When the store opens at 10:15 I call the number back that called me to do the delivery. She asked why I didn't just keep the furniture they had until the new one came in and I said I didn't even know that was an option. So then she says someone is going to call me back but sounded like she wasn't sure when. So my partner stopped at the store on the way home and spent over an hour there again trying to figure out the situation. Apparently that couch doesn't come in a darker color, not sure what we saw in that catalog that day and thought we were getting but I am being sent a picture of something similar in a different color from my partner. She was apparently smiling and really friendly, which is part of being a decent human. So since she was a decent human being and accepted that we are in this they used this against me when I tried to call talking about how I was dissatisfied I was with this whole situation and how I was upset that they couldn't even bring us a loaner couch today. So he called the store and talked to the employees who I guess said she was completely happy when she walked out of there. Just because someone is smiling doesn't equate to happy. So he called me back accusing me of being a liar, and then asked if I was calling his employee a liar, then stated we don't do business with liars I am canceling your order and giving you all your money back. Don't do it. Don't go through this furniture place the owner is a nut job who obviously shouldn't be in sales. I would never treat people this way, but who knows maybe it's because I am a woman with another woman so maybe he just targeted us for this.

We were greeted in a warm and friendly and un-aggressive fashion, given a short spiel about the location of various types of furniture, and asked if we needed help looking for anything in particular. We were then left alone for some time, and politely checked in on an appropriate and respectful amount of time later, with obviously sincere interest in making sure we were getting the exact amount of help we wanted. That's a salesperson who knows her products are of sufficient quality to sell themselves. I'll be back when I've finished measuring my basement and budgeting the several thousand dollars I want to spend, because this establishment has absolutely won my business.

It has all the necessities such as TUL pens, furniture, printers, and paper. I've never had a long wait in line or problems finding items. Staff is professional and friendly. I've also used their online order / pick up service. My order was ready within 45 minutes, was accurate and super easy to pick up.
