I love a good Dollar Tree shop. Being able to run about in a store and fill up a cart is always fun to me. Makes me feel like I'm on Supermarket Sweep and I can actually afford a full cart of items. But, sometimes, it is hard to do when the store is a mess and not all items are stocked. I came in here with expectations to fill a cart of my usual items I grab from a Dollar Tree, but I could have used a basket to grab the items I did find. I traversed the aisles and closely looked for what they had. For the most part, the store is laid out appropriately, but it is the lack of items and the lack of keeping the store in order. There is a lack of sorting this store and keeping it in order. It can make navigating the aisles a task. Your cart can get caught up on the items just left on the floor. That aside, I was able to grab a few items that are my usuals for this chain. When I finally got to the register it took some time as it appeared the had the most unmotivated employees working at that time. It took a moment to get through the lines here, but when I was done, I was out the door. read more

I am DONE with this store! I've been coming here for years and I've never had any issues here but after my experience today, I'm never coming back. I will drive 15 minutes further before I step foot in here again!!! Anyway, I'm picking up a few items and there is one register open. The person in front of me was getting a lot of things...no problem. I'm used to seeing lines in here. Then a few people get in line behind me. The person in front of me ends up needing balloons so the cashier has to move away from the register to get the balloons and put helium in them. Another register opens up and the guy says, "if you're not getting balloons, register one is open." I had already placed my items on the belt because I was next but I couldn't get over there in time. The people who were behind me all rushed over to the newly opened register. I say out loud, "I'm next" but it was pointless because he rang all those people up and I eventually had to move over to register one! I decided to call him out. I told him it wasn't right what he did. In a very aggressive manner, he responded, "I called next customer and I don't know why you didn't come over" Um...what? So that means you clearly saw me and decided to just ring up the people behind me? Wow! Did he expect me to call out the customers? I surely wasn't doing that! I said, "it's your job to pay attention to the customers." And with an attitude he said "nope." So there is that. I am truly done with this place! read more

The store is in a strip mall with the anchor being the Global Food grocery store. There is another dollar store a few doors down that primarily sells items that are much more than an $1, so the dollar store experience here is much more favorable. However, the store is small and does not replenish their stock as sufficiently as I'd like. Also, it is often overwhelmed with customers with large-quantity purchases and plagued by long lines stretching into aisles, making navigation difficult. If there's a balloon order for someone, forget it. It's not their fault, though---the store is just habitually busy during peak hours. For any holiday items, it's best to arrive earlier than later. During the last two weeks of the holiday, the store is cleaned out of holiday merch, and it is slim pickings. I learned that the hard way for Halloween and then again during Christmas. There is no post-holiday clearance, either, as some Dollar Tree locations do. I visit this location purely out of convenience but would prefer others that have a larger selection of items and with regularly stocked merchandise. read more

This DT location serves a wide area of a variety of income levels and is very diverse. HOWEVER, I find it racially biased to continue to keep this store in such an unkept condition...it's unfair for the employees there, the consumers that buy there. It is near several schools and many teachers use it, many families use it, as well as many others who have been impacted by inflation and joblessness due to COVId....This is beyond a management problem. This is most definitely a corporate problem....the carpets need replacing, it needs better lighting and more staffing immediately.....every time I seem to go, one of the glass entry doors is broken.. @Dollartree, you can do much better bc Ive seen evidence at other locations in this same county. read more

How great is it when you walk into a store and find exactly what you were looking for? Well, it happened to me. Plus, I found many other things I didn't know I needed until I saw them on the shelves at this Dollar Tree location. I needed index cards for use with a student and there they were...200 for a dollar! In fact there is a sign that says 'Everything's a Dollar', but some items, like greeting cards, are two for a dollar. Theater-sized boxed candy is $0.79. I found bubble wrap, though only six feet long, it is cheaper than the name brand I buy from CVS. Yes, the store is cramped and can give you stimulus overload, but it is clean and the staff person I spoke with was pleasant. read more

Unlike some other stores with Dollar in their name, almost everything actually is $1.00 - a very few are less, never more. Great for cheap but effective cleaning products, party goods, and some food items (check the expiration date). Lots of stuff still in boxes in the aisles, often slow lines. In short, just what you would expect. read more

Dollar Tree - Front door - Discount Store Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

Dollar Shop is a small store but it is neat, clean and well stocked. There are usually no lines and the owner is very nice and helpful. I stopped in to buy some serving utensils for a charity event I do 4 times a year. Not everything is just a dollar and these were $1.99, but were marked as such and are a decent quality that should hold up well. I don't need any right now but I noticed they have a nice selection of gift bags and some really cute hair accessories. Definitely much more organized than most dollar stores and quick and easy check-out. read more

This store is right behind my apartment and apart from cashiers who will not mind their business, I recently had a bad experience. Talk of service without a pinch of humanity. Baby is screaming "pee pee" and twisting. I beg for a restroom, there is no public restroom. Fine! Can I go to a private area at the area so baby can pee in my drinking bottle and I keep in my bag? You can come watch me if you want. Manager with the grey dreadlocks says no, we can't do that. Just walk to Ross. I'm telling her baby would have peed on himself by then, she still says no. Just because i'm trying to teach my son the right thing, I would have pulled down his pants and let him pee on the floor and someone in there will do the mopping. Just decided I will rather drive to the bigger Dollar Tree in Laurel than go in where Jezebels work! read more

The price is $1! Plus tax, of course. The selection of items is pretty wide. It's a good place to get super affordable reading glasses if you need them. There is a wide selection of faux flowers that are seasonal because in Fall they switch it out with autumn colors and fall-colored leaves. They have great glassware here. And there are some food and beverage items. So, all-in-all, it's a little of everything. Even though it can get crowded sometimes there's still plenty of space to pass by the next person unlike some stores..... which I have mentioned in a past review or two. read more

This not based on the product or price. Everything is actually a dollar and they have a good amount of stuff that's as good as it gets for a dollar. This review is for the employees. They are trash and need to be fired and replaced. I went in there and my INFANT threw a smoothie on the ground. I went up and asked for paper towels so I could clean up myself bc my baby, my mess and the lady was like nah and called for "code 6" or whatever so some older man came out and goes back in and I'm standing there waiting forever and so I leave to do my shopping because I assumed they wanted to take care of it so he starts mopping up the floor like 15 minutes later and when I come back out, I, of course, apologize for my child and the inconvenience and this dude looks at me and goes "well you should be mopping up the floor, it's not my mess". Well sir, you should get another job if you don't like the tasks assigned to you at this one. So, of course, now I'm mad and I'm looking at the cashier crazy because she didn't say anything to check her co worker and she goes "I didn't say anything to you, why are you looking at me like". I'm N E V E R going back in that place until they get new staff. Period. read more

Came back to look for one thing. Huge mistake!!!!worse now than before if that's possible. Empty shelves and what little stock there is has fallen in a heap on the bottom shelf. Still unopened boxes scattered throughout. I'm fortunate that I have other options for what I need. I feel so sorry for the captive audience without transportation or financial means to get to other stores. Shame on you Dollar Tree. read more

This $1 Store is great. Always have what I go for and other gems I uncover. "Awesome" cleaner is great for everything! Floor, hub caps, carpet, anything. I have found inserts for my high heels (saving me about $5 a pair), arthritis rub for a buck- and it really does help the pain subside, and without a bad odor. Not to mention all the regular stuff like gift bags, snacks, toys, balloons.... The people there are always friendly, the store is always clean and stocked, and they have been making improvements over the years which make check out faster, and you can use your credit card.
