Rude, not helping me when I need some balloons, very early morning, there's no many costumer , and one cashier, few workers around, this 72 old women need few balloons for grand daughter birthday party, don't know what's the reason nobody want to help me! I went to the dollar tree and I frequent most of them and I have to say that this one was one of the cleanest and well-stocked and customer service oriented dollars trees I have ever been here I was seriously impressed Management is Susie she's on point donated some empty boxes to the community haunted house that the boo crew puts on in San Jose every year for free for everyone to enjoy. It's good to see that there are some people that still value their customers and have such a great collection and such an actually very clean store. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Long lines all day and all night long while the manager just sits in the office. There is never not a line and they don't even acknowledge that it is their own fault. They seriously need to staff more people or have the manager come out of her office. Instead, the cashiers here just shift blame on the customers for the long lines. They verbally blame customers and scold them like children for "causing" the long lines. It is so messed up and unprofessional. Most cashiers here are rude. Eye rolls, exasperations, condescending tone...you name it, they have probably done it. FIRE MANAGER MARIA!!!! I just had the most terrible experience at this dollar tree with the manager, MARIA. This woman is extremely disrespectful, rude, arrogant, and condescending to customers. I kindly asked her for help with blowing up balloons that I paid for in this store. She stated, "no these are fresh and we ran out of balloons." MARIA is a LIAR!! They had a bunch of new balloons in the drawers. She just did not want to help me. Instead, she lied and tried to sell me FLAT balloons. MARIA SHOULD NOT BE A MANAGER. I typically visit this Dollar Tree for candy, and just random items like anti-bacterial spray, and shipping supplies. I've been here a few times, and the store is pretty well kept. On my last visit I picked up a bag of Bitto Honey and a handful of envelopes lined with bubble wrap. It's fairly easy to find things, so I'm able to pop in and out of here with a quickness! If you don't mind it's shady location/parking lot, it is pretty difficult to beat paying a dollar for pretty much everything you throw in your basket. If you are a candy fanatic like me, you might as well save yourself a few bucks and stock up on your faves! Overall, I've had good luck with this particular location, so I will definitely come back for more candy! Oh yeah, swing by before you head to the movies. $10 can get you A LOT of junk!! read more

This dollar tree is organized and so clean! And they have really good selection for art!

When it comes to assisting customers, this location is very slow, I rarely see more than one cashier helping shoppers at a time and am not surprised whenever the lines start wrapping around the aisles. They are somewhat organized here, they do keep the shelves decently stocked, but it can be hard at times to maneuver around products and inventory boxes left behind or forgotten by employees. I would rated them less, but the fact that they always have plenty of seasonal goods; saved them from being a one star establishment. read more

During the COVID-19 Pandemic... Soooo... long story short. I went here over the weekend I believe it was a Sunday to get back pain patches which do actually work may I add just in case anyone ever wonder if it works or not since it's dollar tree. Anyway last minute I wanted to look at a Pom Pom key chain that was displayed towards the back near the balloons one of the employees there I believe she was the supervisor she didn't wear the green uniforms like the other workers she was 5'3 Spanish looking with asian eyes. She seen us wearing our masks and rudely said " why are they wearing masks it's not going to save their life!" funny how she said that with everyone in the store including her employee who was working the cash register whom by the way was also wearing a mask. She seriously has no respect or professionalism in the work place. Keep that shit to yourself nobody wants to hear your criticism! She's going to be wearing a mask once I get a hold of dollar tree cooperate. It's common sense to wear a mask in case someone spits on you while they're talking..it's not suppose to save a life but it does more than harm thank you. Get like Costco! The store itself is generally pretty good. They always have what we need. We go In here to buy seasonal items and even stuff for my son when he plays baseball. However the other day my 3 year old daughter (who is learning to potty train) went in to this store for her to get a toy when she said she had to go potty. For those of you who don't know, when a child is learning to use the toilet and say they have to go, it means NOW. They don't really know how to hold it. So we ran to the bathroom to find it was locked. Ran to the front counter to get the key and went back. When I opened the door I was disgusted I wouldn't even let my daughter use this restroom. It was dirty. There was what looked liked a puddle of pee in the corner by the toilet, yellow dried pee behind the toilet on the floor, pee on the toilet seat, not a single seat cover, nowhere to hang toilet paper so it was sitting on the dirty gross floor. We left and ran to michaels next door as quick as we could, but the poor thing had an accident in her pants before we got there. We ended not going back into the dollar store for the things we were going to Get and went home to Change her instead :( read more

I'm writing on their balloon service only. I came here about a month ago and they had the graduation balloons just starting to arrive. I don't need it them filled up with helium until June so I inquired about buying them in advance, all the ones I want before it runs out, and coming back to this one with my receipt to have them filled. It was not a problem at all. So I bought 40 balloons, yes, 40 and all the ones I want they have. Here we are the night before I need the balloons filled with helium. I came there around 8:45pm and got in line like everyone else and asked the cashier to have the balloons filled. I had to wait for another person to do it but it was only a few minutes of waiting and then I see my balloons being filled up. So many, so perfect. While I was walking out with all the balloons, I was stopped a few times as to where I got the graduation balloons, I had to tell them they no longer got them... cuz they are all out. Glad I bought them a month ago. Planners are winners! read more

Dollar stores can be fun, useful, and cool. But there are only a few of them that follow through and stand out. Among so many branches in the region, this store takes the cake. Unlike others, they always have clear and clean aisle ways. Their candy aisle is immaculate. And surprisingly, their toy section is just the same......always well kept and organized. I can always count on this store to be fully stocked, especially with their seasonal items/decorations. Staff here is friendlier. They even have a greeter/receipt checker at the door....kinda reminds me of Costco security. Lines tend to be quicker, at least while I'm there. This store also closes later than the others.....10 pm daily except Sunday. I usually don't review chain stores, but I felt this one deserves it. They have a nice system, and it shows. Tara is absolutely amazing!! Tara truly saved the day last night as I called all over to buy graduation frames for a class of graduating students I was told by countless stores in the area they put them out and sold out the same day. When I called the store Tara answered I informed her I am a teacher and needed at least 25 frames Tara said they only had 8 out of a design I hadn't been looking for but would gladly check the back before the new stuff was put out that night. By 9 pm I received the call back saying they had 24 she couldn't put them on hold but if I came in before 10 pm I could buy them all. When arrived I went up to the register to let her know I was there and would look at other grad stuff quickly. Before I could say anything else she let me know she found 2 more frames in the design I wanted on the shelf! I was so happy and couldn't thank her enough for saving the day and graduation season! I like coming here for gift bags and Mylar balloons! Graduation Day today so 5 balloons for $5 vs $15+ at party city or Safeway! Been here more than a few times but never reviewed it. I went here today looking for a bike pad lock. What was I thinking? Haha, it was worth a try. Friend and I were biking and we got hungry, but I didn't have a lock for my bikes. We were like, "Hey let's check Dollar Tree." I knew they didn't have it... I went in and asked the worker organizing his section. He kindly stopped what he was doing and showed me the locks he did have. It was more so the locker ones with the combination and also the one with the key. Eh, not what I was looking for... Gentleman was super nice for helping me. Another time I came to get decorations for NYE, and they ran out of everything. Serves me right to try to do things so last minute. Ended up buying streamers and balloons. Girl helped me separate all the balloons for me to purchase. I would say their service both times were good. Downside is when it's busy, they only have two lanes open. I haven't been to this Dollar Tree for as long as I could remember. My last visit, I just needed to get some last-minute balloons for my valentine. When I got there, there was a lady at the "Balloon Center" filling up Valentine-themed Mylar balloons. I asked her if I could take a few and she let me and also kindly asked me if I could get all of the balloons and move them towards the outer area of the desk. I didn't have a problem with it, I just thought it was kind of weird that she asked me to do that. It took me about 5 minutes to choose which balloons to take and I ended up taking 3 and also a weight to come with it. I spent $4.35 including sales tax, which totally beats going to Party City! Checkout didn't go so fast, but that isn't a surprise... I mean, it's the Dollar Store. Despite the crowdedness, there were a handful of checkers which was a plus! Two things I want to comment on was the cleanliness of this location. It was fairly organized and you can really find what you're looking for here. Just beware of the warnings that may state that an item is toxic (a.k.a. decorative mug or plate)! =) Can't leave that one out... Scenario #2- Dinner Party I recently fell into this category last Friday! =) Yeah my lil' secret is out... Jon O. & Lisa P. I hit up the Dolla Sto and got some fancy schmancy place mats, Mojito cups, and a couple smelly candles for a centerpiece. So I need to go for my usual gift bag stock up - makes sense to me to stock up rather than return every single time for 1 bag. I was shocked when I walked though the door on a Friday afternoon. It was remodeled & actually organized. The reason I would avoid this location previously was due the fact that it looked like a hurricane had always passed through here! A second reason I would avoid this place was because it could get ghetto at times. I guess if you get here before 1pm the ghetto people are replaced by the elderly; I'll choose elderly over ghettoness any day. P.S.
