The store is relatively small, but they pack so much stuff in it! I ended up spending nearly 1.5 hours here. The prices are reasonable. They are slightly more than some goodwills. The price ticket will show you the future price discount and the dates that those prices will be applied.

Was doing a return on some shoes I had only worn once, I had called in…read moreadvance to see if it was possible to, since the shoes had some scuff marks to it and minor scratches, the employee I spoke to on the phone said it was and that it is expected by the company that customers would wear their items up to 5 times before returning so that it was okay. My return was done by the Store Manager who was blatantly rude the entire interaction because she was having to accommodate just the once, but even with accommodating gave attitude the entire time and reminded me that customers weren't allowed to make returns with it being scuffed, which is the exact opposite of what I was told by the employee. I used to be an ASM for a retail place as well, there's genuinely no need for that type of attitude and unprofessionalism, especially when I was the one misinformed. Granted they still made the return but needless to say I'll never come back to that location since the SM doesn't know how to treat people.

There's a variety of dining options, from Zoe's to Stoneworks and Sushi Zushi! They have high end shopping and all kinds of great things that you can always use around the home. Parking is easy, and there's plenty of ingress/egress points along Basse and Broadway, and even the back streets. I am happy with the fact that they have some outdoor amenities that aren't required for a shopping center, but are nice additions. They have outdoor benches with beautiful landscaping. There's an outdoor fountain (that I've never seen full of water) with some benches to watch people getting their taxes filed. There's 24 hour security around here, they keep a good eye over what's going on around here, so I feel safe. I wish that they had more bike parking.

Wow! This shopping center has really turned around in the last several years. Gone are the scary…read moreold vacant stores and the r/c race track. Now we have a bunch of chain stores, like Target and PetCo. There is a great fried chicken place on the east side of the center, Earl Able's. Parking is easy through here, and it's easy to get in and out of here. There's lots of places to eat around here, and lots of places to shop. They've really made this shopping center look a lot better. It's all part of the Austin Highway Renaissance.

Upon receiving change, having paid in cash, the register continuously tried to complete the transaction, in releasing of my due change. However, for whatever reason it merely rambled on until I waved for the associate attending the area of the self-checkouts, wo was watching the whole time but made no gestures to walk over and assist me until I waved her over... I told her the machine still owed me a nickel but was rumbling on and on, in not releasing the nickel. She merely replied, "Humm, I see." Finally, the machine spit out a receipt tape reading ERROR in owing me still a nickel. Standing there, looking lost in what to say or do, she asked me, "Do you still want your nickel?" I replied "Yes, it's my money." She then signed her name on the receipt and told me I had to go up to the Customer Service desk for it. After a waiting behind three other customers, and then once at the desk, having to wait of the ginger-grey haired associate working the area alone, to put up some merchandise into some bins, in which she made no hurry in doing... she then walk back up to the counter and merely said, "Yes?" I told her about the situation and what the associate at the self-checkout said, handing her the signed receipt. She then grabbed a dime she had laying on her register and said, "here." I replied "fine" taking the dime and then told her I needed my receipt back and took it for proof of my purchases. She could tell I was annoyed with her in manners and unprofessionalism and only than as I was already walking off offered an apology to in in saying only, "sorry about that." I continued walking away, not replying, or looking back. Addedly, while shopping in purchasing Lodge brand frying pan, when I checked out, it rang up $5.00 higher than the shelf price. I did not bother in making a fuss about this as I wanted the item. But also, while shopping in the men's wear, in looking over the "No Boundaries" merchandise, I could not find a price tag anywhere and any of the garments there of t-shirts, short, hoodies, etc. throughout the whole display at all. There was not even overhead pricing or advertising for the brand name. And it was obviously not a display having been recently set up. There were obvious signs of the garments having been shopped through. In conclusion it is sad to see that not only has Walmart fallen short from its days of proper signing, pricing of merchandise, stocking items in their properly place... but more than anything is the lacking of customer service in merely showing respect, professionalism, and manners is something David Glass, Mark Schwartz and Sam Walton himself would have NOT tolerated. But I guess, for better or worse, the lack of accountability now found throughout our society, Walmart too, has jumped on broad that bandwagon clearly -for the worse.

When I arrived at the refrigerator display, I needed assistance moving the unit to the front of the store. I am 74 years old and was not willing to risk injuring myself by moving it alone. I saw an employee walking nearby and said, "Excuse me." He turned and looked directly at me, and I raised my hand to get his attention. Despite clearly seeing me, he continued walking without acknowledging me or asking whether I needed assistance. I asked my wife whether she had seen what happened because I could not believe that he had completely ignored me. What should have been an enjoyable purchase became a frustrating and upsetting experience. I then approached another employee named Daniella and asked for help taking the refrigerator to the front and loading it into my vehicle. She was very kind, attentive and eager to help. When I described the employee who had ignored me, she identified him as Gilbert from the electronics department. At my request, a manager named Chris came to speak with me. I explained what had happened and told him that Gilbert's behavior was discourteous and completely uncalled for. I eventually purchased the refrigerator and received the assistance I needed, but none of that assistance came from Gilbert. I remained upset on the drive home because of how I had been treated at Target that evening. Please counsel Gilbert about the importance of acknowledging customers and treating them with basic courtesy and respect. Employees should understand that older customers may genuinely need assistance with heavy merchandise. If this behavior continues after management has been made aware of it, then management must also accept responsibility for allowing it.

Owner, Anthony Ryan (yes, the winner of Project Runway All Stars, has an amazing gift of knowing exactly what type amd color of clothing works for your body! I've been frequenting his shop probably since he opened and he never fails! I literally do not need to try anything on when I go to this shop...he just knows and he's THAT good! Upon entering his shop, you're awed with the colors and creativity that he, himself, has created. Everything from his handmade hats, to clothing and jewelry. And if it doesn't fit, he has a sewing room in the back(where all the magic happens) where he can hem items for you. Today, I purchased a beautiful yellow blazer ("you're definitely a warm tone", says Anthony) and a white semi-cropped white knit top ("you love neutrals", he also says). He knows me! I was hesitant to purchase the cropped top due to my insecurities about my body. But Mr. Couleur Blinde' assured me that it's all in my head. So I'm stepping out in it without trying anything on. Today is his grand opening at his new location on Broadway next to Paloma Blanca. He's open until 9pm tonight so go check it out! The prices are reasonable and he has a couple of 50% off racks. You'll definitely find something you like even if it's the wine and chocolate-covered cranberries. And you won't be disappointed!
