Busy and new, this facility was full of many discounted items. I wish I had time to shop more but…read morewas with hubby who hates to shop, we were in search of luggage for him. They did not have any luggage but sports duffle bags. This place is similar to other discounted stores like Marshalls. New at this old strip mall off Military Ave, plenty of parking and very spacious. Staff was plentiful and helpful. Would return.

I will never shop here again. I was denied CK pants at the TICKETED PRICE OF 14.99 all because I…read moreasked why the 1 set had a different price. If I wouldn't have said anything I would have been given the ticketed price. The woman cashier as well as the MANAGER wouldn't honor the TICKETED PRICE! I put both back. The lines were hilariously & hellaciously long with 2 cashiers on a thursday lunchtime so i paid for 2 items, walked out and called the manager as to try to not hold up the super long line since people were already holding it up with returns since there was no separate customer service/ return line. Manager left me on hold and came back said they RETICKETED the 14.99 at 19.99. Very pissed off whoever "incorrectly ticketed" the pants as well as the cashier the manager and now the store. The same damn pants and couldn't even give me the ticketed price let alone the $5 discount for the 2nd pair. I'm telling everyone to not come here! To not honor the TICKETED PRICE that someone who WORKED THERE attached underneath the ANTI THEFT device...this on yall not me! You said the pants had different skus, all they said was Black S jeans. Infuriated!!!! FALSE ADVERTISING!!! Pure bad business, plain and simple.

I love H-E-B, coming from a place that doesn't have these grocery stores sucks! Any time I am down…read morein Texas for a period of time, I hit up the HEB. The best selection. The best produce availability. I like they have their own vegan ice cream. I have anaphylaxis to milk. Due to that, ice cream that is dairy free tastes like trash. Not at HEB. Their selections are phenomenal. The service has always been excellent. Are the stores crowded during peak hours. Yes they are. Best time to come is at 6AM right when they open. I do that and have no issues.

THIS review is based on curbside pickup. Love the store because it has all the things I want but…read morealways too busy to go in, so I thought I would try the curb side pick up. It's free as long as it is way ahead of time. It was easy until I got there, couldn't find it coming from the west of Military street. I saw one sign but had no idea. Drove around, HEB gas station, HEB car wash, found it with the pharmacy drive up. It is adjacent but a separate drive way. This location is an accident waiting to happen. You have narrow pick up parking, one way drive in, no signs, and you are competing with the pharmacy drive through as well as ppl trying to beat the traffic off Goliad and driving past behind you. THEN when I pulled into the spot, I waited, and was not sure if I was to go get my cart that was ready or wait for someone to come. WHY? Because there was never details on the pick up and I saw numerous different people coming and going that looked like regular pedestrians. I kept waiting and watching, finally saw some staff wearing blue uniform tops, others looked like they were off the street and the car they approached was their personal car, yet turned out to be staff afterall. Finally saw someone that looked like they had my items pushing a cart. BTW you cannot see their station and where they are coming from, suddenly they appear in the lot. Not safe for them either! Friendly and the order was correct but not a pleasant experience. Think they should move this to the opposite side of the store where it is quiet Don't say I didnt warn you.

When I drove into the area back on May 25, 2025, I was taken aback by how much this area of San…read moreAntonio had changed. The street that I remember driving in front of the Alamo many years ago is now non-existent! I am really digging the Alamo Plaza, though. From what I understand, the plan is to make it entirely pedestrian-friendly - no more vehicular traffic. Thus, much of the surrounding area is still under construction, but most areas in front of the Alamo are safe. This plaza is not the same as the Plaza de Valero, which is in front of Menger Hotel. Just ensure to wear loose, breathable clothing and drink plenty of water on the really warm to hot Texas days... a young lady in a tour group I was in passed out and hit her head on the concrete of the plaza. She (or rather her boyfriend) refused medical attention. I don't know if she's okay now, but it seemed serious at the time. PARKING I think your best bet with all the ongoing construction would be at the Rivercenter Parking Garage. TIP The building west of the Alamo will be the new Alamo Visitor Center and Museum. A grand opening for 2027 has been slated.

While the Alamo itself is rich in history, I prefer people-watching myself. And boy howdy, is there people watching here! While on my visit, I was enjoying a dish of ice cream, curtesy of one of the shops along the street, when I was able to get my fix of religion. There was a street preacher, or perhaps someone who just wanted to be a street preacher, yelling out scripture and nonsense. It didn't take long for him to be escorted to the end of the street by the police officers who where there patrolling on their bikes. Too bad, I was ready to repent and convert. The plaza provides lots of shade with several large trees and a little bit of seating on benches and concrete walls surrounding the landscape. Most of the shops along the street are geared toward tourists (souvenir shops, overpriced oddity museums and some eateries.) It's worth a visit for a while, but you might find better, less expensive options, a few blocks away.
