The handle was split, and I even took a photo to show the damage. When I approached the register to explain the situation, a man--who identified himself as the store or branch manager--immediately spoke to me in a rude and dismissive manner. He told me he could not accept the return without a ticket. For context, the item did not have a price tag when I bought it. It rang up as $4, which was already confusing given how inconsistent the store's pricing often is. Many items do not show their true price until checkout. I explained that I had my receipt and had purchased the item just a week earlier. I suggested he could grab another identical item from the back and use that ticket to process the return. Instead of helping, he became combative and accused me of using and breaking the item. I told him that it is defective. I told him he could check the back for the product, but he refused and insisted they had no more--without even looking--claiming he "knew what was in the store." Another associate (cashier) then told me I should "just superglue it together," which I found unprofessional and dismissive. The manager was rude, arrogant, and unwilling to provide any assistance. When I told him I would be contacting corporate, he simply walked away. He was also wearing only a green shirt with no identification, so I have no way of knowing who he actually was. Additionally, the receipt lists no return policies or guidelines. When I asked where the return policy was posted, he could not provide an answer. I have returned items at Dollar Tree before and have never had an issue. This product was clearly defective, and the customer service I received was unacceptable. read more

Honestly love coming to this Dollar Tree! Aside from the place being a bit barebones between seasonal holidays, this location is always stocked crazy with the current items that I may need! The selection of items is always crazy and I love being able to walk up and down each aisle finding cool stuff such as wax melts that smell amazing or cool holiday stuff. They currently have an insane amount of Easter items and I have found some yummy candy that I'll eat and pack in some Easter baskets. The staff here is hit or miss and more times then none they seem to be bothered to be working. There are a handful of workers at any time and they are always stocking the shelves or helping guests check out. I do wish that the check out had more than one person helping because the check out line is always crazy long when I am trying to pay for my items and leave. Overall a good dollar tree and being close to me is an added bonus! read more

The two sales associates and manager refused to sell me an item that was clearly marked a price and rang up a different price. One told me flat out I was wrong, that the sign says One dollar twenty five cents and up. Told me to take a picture. I took pictures in the 3 locations they were located and all 3 said $1. Still refused to sell me for what the price clearly was marked for. read more

This DT store in Plantation is one of the cleanest and better organized DT stores I have ever been. It was a pleasure to shop and most of the stuff I wanted, I was able to find. The lady at the register was very friendly as I made a comment about an item, we had a good conversation about it. It's almost 30 min from my place, so not likely I will be coming to this DT often, but if you are in the area, check it out....it's a good one. read more

The entire store is not just dirty it is disgustingly dirty. There are expired products throughout the store as they don't check dates in their merchandise and what I am pertaining mostly to is food items. And do not whatever you do don't use the restroom as it stinks like a huge urinal and there are feces and urine all over the toilet and if you do use it consider yourself very lucky if there is toilet paper. I go during the day and there is plenty of staff to assist you with your needs. At night time there are only 2 cashiers and if you go while one is on break there is only 1 cashier if you have time to spend 20-30 minutes in line then this place is for you! Also if using the restroom at night it appears that only the night shift cleans it. Perhaps the night crew takes pride in the cleanliness of their store. And that is also when the store manager of this location is not in as he is a cocky kid who is very condescending and rude especially if you go there with an exchange or a return. Overall this location is a complete disaster and I have been to many stores that are in excellent shape with clean bathrooms and merchandise displayed easily so it's not hard to find. And 1 more thing, they are always running out of helium. Even if you're in the Fountains do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache of waiting in a long line for some time, I see people who have taken time to shop and because of only 2 cashiers they do not want to wait so they leave full carts and walk out. Best time to go is right when they open and 15 to 20 minutes before they close. To avoid the lines that is. read more

Stop by here for a quick second to see if I could find one item I was looking for. I am sorry to say this, but this place does not belong in The Fountains Shopping Center. This place is very dirty and very unorganized! I've been to a few different locations and this by far is the worse one. They have boxes on top of boxes lined up right in front of the refrigerated section. Boxes were just everywhere! So much stuff all over the floor. Honestly I have never seen anything like it. I definitely will not be coming back to this location ever! If you live in the Plantation area it is best to drive a little further to a different location. read more

Store is larger than a regular Dollar Tree but packed with products, boxes everywhere. The shelves and floors are extremely dirty. So much so it put me off from buying anything. About 2-3 employees and they were busy ringing customers up. Don't expect social distancing in here, nobody respects it. It's so hard to shop in here because of the mess. With the combination of the bad lighting and products all over the place, it feels like you're shopping in a hoarder's haunted house. read more

My favorite Dollar Tree store in the surrounding area. It's well stocked & organized. It's a good size, well lite and clean. The cashiers are usually polite. The only downside is its locate in the Fountain Shoppes which is a popular plaza so parking can take a few minutes. Especially during the holidays. More often then not I find what I'm looking for here and they always have plenty of holiday decor items to choose from. read more

Worst location. Drive up to one of the sunrise blvd locations or the Davie rt84 locations and save your time. You won't find what you're looking for, the place is a mess, and you'll be overwhelmed by the gross smell of cigarettes on the workers clothing. I got there at opening just to find a kids composition notebook and Valentines tablecloth & plates. Now ther was available and their respective aisles looked like a tornado went through. read more

This is my place! If you don't like the Dollar Store I can't help you. This location is clean. That's a big plus. It's a little smaller than most locations, but has everything you (don't) need here; from greeting cards, balloons, food, flatware, toys- literally everything. Why pay more? I get sucked into this store and can spend all day combing through the aisles finding things I want- like Paul Reiser's autobiography, I mean, who didn't love, "Mad about You"? Seriously though, this place is great. The checkout lines can move slowly but in a way I expect that there. I probably shouldn't, but I can see that the employees don't really care about the job, so they aren't as efficient. I would knock it down more for that, but I can get so much here for so little that I just deal with it. If they worked on their employees this place would be five-stars for sure. read more

The store is in the Fountains shopping center and it's well worth the trip! Dollar Tree stores have come a long way - they offer everything from housewares to gift items (frames, wrapping paper, etc.) to grocery items (brand name food, cleaning products, hygiene items, etc.) to office supplies. I depend on Dollar Tree stores for helium balloons - at $1 per helium-filled Mylar balloon you just can't beat it. The balloons usually last for 7 - 10 days, making the value even better. Instead of buying balloon weights at the store I buy brand name candy and tether bunches of balloons to the candy packages. We fill the house with balloons on every birthday - hubby's birthday is this weekend so a few days ago I bought 16 balloons (they pack the filled balloons in large bags so it's easy to transport them in the car without crashing on the way home!). For the first time ever, the balloons lost air in 2 days time so I called the store and told them about it. They offered to replace or refill the balloons! I didn't want them to take a loss on replacing the balloons so I opted to have the balloons refilled. I brought the balloons back to the store, they added helium to each balloon, and they packed them in bags for the trip home. They didn't charge me a penny. The guy who initially filled the balloons remembered me and greeted me when I entered the store. The store was packed and the guy who refilled each balloon gave me great service even though I could tell he was anxious to help his coworkers at the busy register lines. I was so impressed by their professionalism and customer service! Not only can we buy quality goods at a low price, Dollar Tree stands behind it's products and provides excellent service! read more

I find it a challenge to review chain stores, as they are typically run the same; yet I can say that this Dollar Tree is not a favorite. The biggest issue for me is that although they stock their shelves often, it becomes a problem when you're going there on a quick run; especially on your lunch break. The carts (full of boxes) in the aisles are quite an annoyance to weave in and out--by and through! Besides that, to have one open register during peak hours doesn't make much business sense, but the store is kept clean and the customer service is good. Therefore, since the main reason I go there is for the unbeatable prices on such a superb selection of generic brands, I will keep shopping there and deal with it! read more

I've gone to this dollar tree for years and have never experienced anyone ruder then the one guy that's working there today. The line was ridiculously long and I noticed a guy stepped into one of the other registers so I greeted him and then asked him if he was opening and he completely ignored me so I asked him a second time, and then all he said was hold on. He had the worst attitude and I would rather drive further away to go to a different dollar tree with people that actually have decent customer service. It's worth the time. read more

This is one of the biggest Dollar Tree stores I have visited. It is located at The Fountains in Plantation next to Joann's fabrics. It is a typical messy and understaffed store. I usually visit these stores when I need cheap party supplies. You can't beat the price! Quality of course isn't great, but you can find some cool stuff from time to time. After being laid off in 2011 and getting by on unemployment, the Dollar Tree became my friend! Several years later, I am still going and it feels great to get items without overpaying. Case in point, party supplies/bags. Don't overspend at a party supply store- with plates, tablecloths, and matching accessories, you can save money and spend your party budget on more important things like booze! Need wrapping paper or a gift bag? A dollar for that and some tissue paper, voila! They have name brand kitchen tools too. Why spend more for a new cheese grater or turkey baster? A dollar is all you need! The same goes for cleaning supplies. Why spend a ton of money, when you can get the same stuff for just a buck? This location, is pretty well organized. I have Been going to the dollar tree for years. Until recently it was a wonderful dollar tree. I need to go out of my way and pass two dollar trees to get to this one. The last three times I've been there I've had nothing but attitude from the employees. I have some orders coming in tomorrow and I wanted to know about what time the truck would arrive. Unfortunately I got Wes on the phone he didn't want to give me his name and he didn't want to help me and he didn't want to tell me when the truck was coming and he said he didn't think that I have orders coming. ? I love Dollar Tree. Some locations more than otbers. This one rates pretty high with me due to the fact it is always clean, well-stocked, and they have the refrigerated and freezer foods. I like the employees here, they are always very nice and very helpful. Today I stopped there because I saw in an online couponing blog that their 18-count eggs were a dollar this week, and of course I was not disappointed as they were well-stocked and I bought two. Of course I can't leave without my normal Staples that I buy on a regular basis, such as the Crystal Light singles in all the flavors and plastic flatware, paper cups, freezy pops and popsicles for the kids comma greeting cards which are always either $1 or some are two for a dollar, I mean why buy anywhere else and pay 3 to $5 for a card? And of course I never buy dish soap anywhere but Dollar Tree. Best thing about it, they also take coupons! Being an avid couponer, I always arrive with my envelope of coupons because I never know what I'm going to find there, and if I can couple it with a coupon I save even more and the item is even cheaper. I have gotten many items there for free or for $0.25 or $0.50 with coupons. They never give me a hard time there about using coupons. As with anything else, you do get what you pay for so you have to watch the quality on some items, but with kitchen sponges and certain things, it really doesn't matter where you buy it. I love Dollar Tree! And I give this store four stars. Try it and you'll be hooked! read more
