I was so excited to read about this new store... an odd lot;job lot;big lot;place with bargains. In reality, it was very disappointing. The concept is that you grab a bag and sift through cardboard boxes of stuff and fill up your bag. Depending on the day you come, the prices change. Monday's price is $3; on Tuesdays it's $2 for each item in the box, etc... down to a 25 cents "blowout" on Thursday morning... until they restock and start the week again. I don't know if the people who came over the weekend and paid $6 an item got all the bargains, but we didn't see even one thing that we considered buying. It was just big cardboard boxes lined up and very awkward to reach into that had piles of the same junk in it -- items you'd find left over from a sale in a flea market. Around the perimeter were drug store and grocery items marked at supposedly 50 percent off the retail price. Again nothing that was of any interest to us. And that's saying a lot when I can't find at least one thing to spend my money on. I'm glad I came -- so I won't feel like I've missed out on anything. Now I know. read more

Not my cup of tea .... Just not what was expected and has changed since first opening a couple years back. Felt like a garage sale indoors. Bins are gone and design changed. Store feels cluttered and slightly dark. We walked in to find only one other visitor on Saturday afternoon. We heard staff making up prices in back area for incoming items. It felt like rock, paper, scissors. Hmmm .... They proudly offer they are a Target Store liquidator now. Interesting as at least 1/2 the store did not look like regular Target merchandise. The pricing now is full retail and then a discount of 35% off. Todays special was slightly higher. They also warned that credit card would add a 3% charge. (Being in financials, they should check processor contract as Visa/MC do not commonly allow this) It was not what we wanted and left. Not knocking their decision to go this route, but doubt we would return. The original business design seemed to offer more possibilities and just needed some better execution. Off the Truck has some serious good deals. A lot of their merchandise is from Target via returns or damaged items. However, you have to be willing to dig through bins and sift through the things you don't want to find the deals. Depending on the day of the week, there are different deals happening. Last trip in, I snagged a brand new target brand trash can for $35 while the original price was $80. Some days you may find nothing and other days you mind snag a sweet deal. I heard about this place from word of mouth a while ago and finally experienced it. It's an experience thats for sure. I had the pleasure of visiting on a Wednesday which surely does change the experience apparently. I wouldn't know now and since i wont be back I never will but Wednesday means its the cheapest of cheap, the biggest scavengers you'll ever meet. So here's how this place works. Countless of garage sale quality items are dumped into huge crates. Day 1 its $6 each. day 2 and 3 is $5 and $4 each....by Wednesday its $1 each and its bare bones by then. Picture a used sock without its match, or an old computer speaker without a cord thats not bluetooth compatible. A cracked plate, leaking cup, bent fork. Just picture sadness and you found it here. The service was dealing with the crowd well but clearly not happy. I suspect they were owners and paid well but just tired of the stuff they have to deal with. Smart business plan but I'd never go back and I'm not some snob either. Opinions differ tho but never again. Appreciate the experience but I'll pass from now on. read more

This place is wonderful! Everything I could ever need for a household, inside and out, I found at Off the Truck. The store is family owned and operated, and they go above and beyond to find you what you are looking for. Everything changes from week to week, and you get the best deals on Friday and Saturday, then the price goes down daily. They also are having Facebook auctions on Tuesday and Thursday, usually at 5:00 (sometimes at 6), and that's where you can really find the deals! It's a lot of fun as well! If you are into the "hunt" you can get great deals at this store. Give yourself lots of time to search and dig to the bottom of the bins. I got a new in bowater resistant bluetooth speaker for $2.00 that sells on Amazon for $26. Bring your patience and lots of time so you are to rushed. Also got some bargains on food that I normally have to order on line. Bring a friend it adds to the fun. The only problem I have found is Google will send you to the incorrect address - 20 miles away! Off the truck is different, unique, and a lot of fun. It's not just a store, its an adventure. If you like all your items in neat rows on racks with signs guiding you to the specific thing you are looking for, This may not appeal to you. But if you love to treasure hunt and look for something different, then this is the place for you. If you like yard sales, thrift stores, and flea markets, this is the place for you. Friday and Saturday are when the best selection is available. Resellers love this store because there are some great deals to be had that can be resold. For other people they can find unique things to give as gifts, or use for themselves. I buy ALL my coffee there. If you like Gevalia brand coffee, The Caribou brand coffee is identical to Gevalia House Blend for half the price. The people who run the store are all family members and every one of them want you to have fun and find a deal. They celebrate when someone finds an expensive item worth hundreds for only 6.00. And that happens week after week. You will not see that kind of win on any lottery ticket. For those who want to criticize and be negative, well, you do not belong here, negativity sucks the energy out of the room and you need to take that gloom somewhere else. The number of people with huge bags of merchandise waiting to check out speaks volumes about the kind of deals you will find there. Been waiting for it to open, had fun going thru the crates picking out a few things. But when I went to pay it has to be over $15.00 to use a debit or credit card. When you are selling things for $1.00 you can't expect people to buy 15 things and have cash on them, I had $8.00 worth of things and had to leave it because I didn't have cash. Now that's after searching through tons of things. I won't go back unless I have cash and I don't carry cash I have a debit card I use for everything. read more
