This Dollar Tree store in Newark is right next to the restaurant we're going to dinner. I decided to check them out after dinner. Nothing special! It is the same as most of Dollar Tree. Maybe a little less crowded and a little more disorganized than the average Dollar Tree store. The store looks pretty good on the outside. I like the storefront and the parking lot. Next to 99 Ranch Market is also an excellent addition. However, the good feeling is gone as soon as I walk in the front door! It has lots of empty shelves inside, but it still looks pretty disorganized. Not too many customers inside, but the checkout is very slow. The parking lot has some homeless people. It is still within the average amount of homeless in the San Francisco Bay Area outside of the City of San Francisco. San Francisco is a lot more homeless people than anyplace else! I try to avoid it as much as I can!

I love Dollar Tree haha! I love their art supplies and or stickers. They sometimes have good household need supplies as well and or party supplies. My go-to for plastic table covers or party trays. A bit unorganized but its manageable to find items here if you have patience and time.

their freezer section is pretty cool but all im sayin is be careful cause ya'll see that gray ass meat??

It's more than a decent Dollar Tree. A lot of items in the inventory, spacious and amazing service. I Wanted to pick up some decoration items for a school project. I could find almost everything on my list. And the associate helped me find a few things I couldn't find myself. Smooth checkout, 2-3 active counters, very good. Experience.

This Dollar Tree is located in the Lido Faire Shopping Center, near the Big O Tires. The store is fairly new, decent in size and it's your typical Dollar Tree. It has all the regular goods for only $1!!! Although it doesn't have much selection as much as some of the Dollar Tree's. Parking: It can be a HASSLE during certain times, because there is soo many different stores and restaurants. Shopping Carts: There are plenty of shopping carts for you to use inside the store. And they also have plenty of hand baskets. Overall just your typical Dollar Tree.

The $5 cash payment can be seen but Vincent denied receiving it! thief!

Beware of sales associate VINCENT! He's very rude and a thief!!! He refused to give me my $5 overpayment. Even when the customer saw me hand him the $5 at the beginning and then another $10 because I wanted to keep the smaller bill instead and wanted my $5 back. Total Bill is $4.29 and only gave me $5.71 as change. He denied receiving the $5 at first. Then why does my receipt show a $5 payment you IDIOT! The manager and staff are not even helpful. Stay away from this store if you don't want to get ripped off! It's not about the money. It's about the principle. Karma is a bitch and I will leave it at that.

    $1 everything. Love this store!

Can't really complain about the price since everything is a dollar, but the manager is extremely RUDE.

Because the store does not allow to take a cart outside, my mom purchased a paper bag and started to put 18 small/medium items in a big paper bag. The other 2 big items she carried by hands. After scanning all items, the cashier lady collected all remained stuffs and tried to throw them in the bag carelessly. My mom told her "let me organize and put stuffs in". Right after that, the cashier demanded "can you pay first?". My mom said " I will pay after putting stuffs in". The cashier walked over another register and exchanged place with another cashier gentleman???!!! Less than 4 minutes, my mom paid with her credit card. And the same cashier lady screamed out "shit...get out of the store... we don't want you here..." while walking by my mom and disappeared behind the shelves. My mom was astonished by her attitude. She asked the cashier gentleman who was helping her "What type of customer service is this?", and concluded "I won't come back here if she is still here!". I am watching the cashier gentleman nicely to help my mom open the door and comparing the 2 opposite customer services. I hope that the manager or owner would train that cashier lady properly and no other customer could twicely (carelessly handle and rude behavior) be pushed away like that!!!

As…read moresomeone who values thrifting and supporting nonprofits, I really appreciated being able to give donated items a second life while also finding affordable creative supplies. Lately though, the pricing has increased to the point where it's hard to justify shopping here anymore. A lot of donated items are being priced very close to retail, even when their condition is uncertain. For example, I recently saw a used pack of fabric markers priced at $10 when a brand new set costs $15. With secondhand art supplies, you don't know how much ink is left, whether every color still works, or how old the items are, so pricing them that high makes thrifting here feel less worthwhile. I used to leave with a whole handful of items every visit, but now I'm lucky if I find one or two things reasonably priced. Judging by other reviews, I'm not the only customer noticing this shift. I completely understand this is a nonprofit and that operating costs exist, but part of what made this store special was accessibility and affordability. I'd really love to see pricing become more realistic again, especially for used craft and creative supplies.

Two stars: one for the cute stuff and the fact that I know how to get here…read more This location seems to be getting worse and worse though every time I come here and is slowly becoming my least favorite location. I don't know why I still come here. Last time I bought something, went to self checkout, and found out the security alarm was still on when I got home, even after I thought someone removed everything. This wasn't the first time it happened at this location. To avoid coming here again, that time I went to a different location to have the alarm taken off and had no issue. I really don't see the point of self checkout at this location as others said. It provides no benefit here and is not that much faster, as you still have to go to another counter to get alarms, security tags and whatever the hell else removed. Plus they want proof of receipt/checking your items here. Today, I figured I'll give it another chance, but when I tried to pay with the cashier to try and avoid any mishaps, the lady says they don't have any bags. I was thinking like what the hell? You're a store, how can you not have bags? I told her I didn't want the item any longer and walked out. This was the last and final straw. Too bad, I'll have to stick with other locations. This location doesn't seem to care about helping customers or doing their job properly.

0 stars: Rude & disrespectful employees…read more I had a really disappointing experience here due to poor customer service. The employees lacked basic manners--no "excuse me," no acknowledgment, nothing. In the women's shoe section, one employee was aggressively sorting shoes, making the environment feel uncomfortable. What really bothered me was another employee who, instead of politely asking to pass, forcefully pushed my cart against me while I was standing in the aisle still all the way towards the end of the aisle. There was this couple who witnessed what happened. It felt intentional and very disrespectful. She was very aggressive and rude towards me for no reason. Overall, the staff came across as rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend coming here based on this experience.

Adj: impressive and interesting store…read more Fremont GO on Stevenson, we've driven passed this store several times without stopping and finally decided we have to check this place out before we headed home while we were in this area for a short trip. We love going to different GO's to see what snacks and unique items they have. There's definitely different items that get shipped to stores in various areas. On this occasion I saw a lot of spring items, to include Easter decor, spring flowers, plants, tools. This store has a lot of great food items besides the usual necessities. Their ice cream shelves were quite stocked and had a lot more brands and choices than I've seen at other stores. They had a pretty big health & beauty plus supplements & vitamins area too, several rows worth of all that. The NOSH section was big too, with a lot of variety for "healthy" snacks and sweets, like chips and treats. Overall, I was impressed by this sheer size of this store which used to be a supermarket and is more split about 2/3 this GO and 1/3 of the whole store area is now a Dollar Tree next door. We'll definitely plan to be back next time we're in the area.

It's quite shocking that I never thought of coming into this grocery store because it's convenient…read moregoing here since it's close to a cafe that I usually go to. I was thinking of going into other grocery stores to get something but never thought that this exists near the cafe. Also, it's been commercialized since I've been their ads. The items are very limiting since the store is relatively small. You'll find many common items but won't find their specific ones. For example, you can find Dr.Pepper but not the diet soda cream version of it. You'll have to go to another grocery store for that. Also, you won't find many varieties of certain brands here compared to most grocery stores. Another issue is that they didn't label some products with price tags. That's something that they'll have to work on, but expect that prices here are cheaper than non-discount stores. It's not really something to worry about. The good news is that the products are much cheaper here than ones from other grocery stores. That's why there were so many parked cars whenever I come to its shopping center. If you don't really care much about brands and varieties, I highly recommend shopping in this grocery store. If you do, then you might want to go to another grocery store.
