I say brand name loosely because you'll find Coach, Sperry, Michael Kors, Dyson but you'll likely come across Mossimo or some Target Brand most often. All of the stuff there is new (not used or gently used) but they may be in opened boxes or not in season. They have very reasonable prices (I got a brand new pair of sperry shoes for $10) and my sister got her prom dress there for $20 and it was orginally $300+. They also have a furniture section that offers a really great selection on rugs, couches, chairs, etc. I got my sectional there for $200 and it was brand new with a modern design. I'd say if you are willing to spend a little extra time searching the racks and shelves, it will be worth your trip to this store. Only drawback is the intense Chinese food smell that lingers over from the Great Moon Buffet next door. It smells delicious when you first walk in, but after a while, can make you feel a little queasy. It's a smaller shop, but they happened to have the perfect sectional sofa for our space. The owner was quick to answer any question we had and taught us a few helpful tips about furniture shopping. At other shops we felt pressure from the sales person to purchase, but not here. We checked out the shop on a weekday night and went home to think over our options. When we decided to purchase, the process was smooth and we had our new couch delivered just 3 days later! The delivery team was professional and friendly. They had a difficult task maneuvering a sectional couch down our narrow stairway, but they made it happen with zero damage to our home! Grocery Outlet is a large chain in California that is similar to Mike's -- they're a discount opportunistic grocery that sells items close to expiration/are being discontinued. When we moved back to Minnesota, we were very sad to not have Grocery Outlet anymore. But then, we found Mike's. Mike's is amazing. I'd argue it's even better than Grocery Outlet, and miles above any average grocery store in the cities. The primary draw to Mike's is the pricing -- things are very cheap compared to other grocers. This is possible because they don't have a broad selection and stock items that are close to expiration or being discontinued. It's not uncommon to find things that didn't sell at other stores here. The downside is that they rarely have consistent stock. However, if you have an open mind, you won't be disappointed. There are snacks, frozen items, household goods and even clothes that are very cheap. Lastly, the staff are all very kind and do their best to help. Go here!!!!
