They have such a plethora of useful, cost effective and fun things. The service is always good. I've never had to return anything.

This place actually has a lot of good stuff! Especially those "odds and ends" parts for almost anything. They even take your junk!

This place has so many things for such affordable prices. Some of the items are brand new and even with the tag still on and some are more antique used items. The stock of what is available there is so random and can very depending on what they receive but they generally offer a selection of couches, tables, chairs, rugs, bookshelf's, and appliances. However, the best deal there are the lightbulbs. 4 bulbs for 99 ¢. Unbeatable.

There's a good variety of used and new items, along with various categories of goods.... big and small. Pricing varies as well, but you can bet your paying less than retail price. Some of the basics: sofas, artwork, rugs, paint, bedframes, lightbulbs, patio furniture, Some of the interesting: church pew, chandeliers, fancy stoves, building material (flooring, fixtures, cabinets) Some of the little things: command strips, paper towel holder, bath mat, frames There's so much, and you never know what you'll find during your visit so check it out. I will say, staff didn't seem warm and friendly (ie a smile, or offer to help), but at the same no one was directly rude. I gather if you ask for help, they'd assist. I noticed by the bed frames, a sign that said they have tools to disassemble, but you had to do it yourself, which is still helpful since some places wouldn't even offer that.

All of J's stop off's and finds usually come with a story. Yesterday he wandered into Hill-Valley…read moreBoutique and came home to tell me that he met a really cool store owner and that we should stop back. So today, after hitting up the Alamo Flea market, we stopped back into Hill-Valley. I think Hill Valley, and automatically think of Back to the Future, but you'll have to ask Liz for meaning. Liz , the owner is outgoing and full of enthusiasm about her store which I can understand. It's great to hear what people are passionate about and great to see them putting their vision into reality. Store is full of a lot of great find and trips down memory lane. A lot of the items she had came from what her family already had. - old furniture -china -old watches - records -consignment -candy cigarettes -clothes -clocks And more... I never used to be into looking at old stuff, but J loves it and I'm learning to appreciate the nostalgia and quintessential essence of old things. Great find and a great way to spend an afternoon.

I have been here twice now, and both times I have not left empty handed. My first time I left with $15 Nike Hightops that looked immaculate if they were not brand new. I also scored a button up flannel shirt (comfy as all get out!) for only $5... yes, FIVE BUCKS! On my second trip to Hill Valley Boutique I scored the most adorable Red Sunglasses for $12. The store is full of hidden treasures waiting to be discovered, but it's not overwhelming like some vintage/thrift stores you'll find. Not only that, but the atmosphere is so welcoming! There's music playing, the shop owner is adorable and sweet, and did I forget to mention there is a CAFE that is CONNECTED to the shop?!? Yep. This place is pretty neat-o. I'm excited to bring some friends to check out the shop and have a lunch at Hill-Valley Cafe nextdoor!

I'm not a model train guy, but am equally astounded by their selection and all of the supplies and accessories they stock for that hobby. Their selection of new kits is very deep and very well organized. The vintage kit selection is varied and reasonably priced. And bargains can be found in the back room if you know what you're doing. Staff is uniformly friendly; I am always greeted when I arrive. If I have a question or need help, it's always fast and efficient. if I just want to wander around and window shop, they don't seem to have a problem with that. This place is a real gem. A throwback to a time when shops like this dotted the twin cities. I haven't seen a shop like this since I used to shop at the old Moeller hobby shop in Robbinsdale. On the rare occasion I need something they don't stock, I will buy online. For everything else, there's no other shop anywhere who gets my business. This place is an absolute treasure.
