It's not that bad- trust me! This location is convenient and they are open later than some of the other DT's in the area. Plenty of selection and it is typically not picked over. Dollar Tree, in addition to countless other companies, decided to use the negative events of 2020 (and ever since) as an excuse to scale back the amount of employees (gotta keep corporate wallets fat, after all), meaning more pressure and stress on all of the staff at their stores. Especially this one. There has never been a time I've visited this Dollar Tree (time to change the name to "overpriced tree" by the way), when I have *not* had to wait in line with a large amount of other clients because there's only one or two people MAXIMUM available to check out clients. ALSO... now there's cameras in the card reader machines! Are you kidding me? Time to INSTEAD place surveillance cameras on the higher-ups who squeeze every last dollar out of their hard working staff to keep their salaries as high as possible (and thus making their grossly underpaid employees do ten times the work they're supposed to do).... read more

Love that Dollar Store only sell goods for ONE dollar, unlike competitors who use "Dollar" loosely in their store's names. Much of the goods are passable in quality. Some are smaller versions of name brands, so you are paying $1 for a smaller portion of a national brand. This is fine especially if you only need a small portion (think of them as bigger than trial size, perfect for vacation use.) Other items are great for one-use instances (paper or party goods), greeting cards, balloons, etc. I love this place for hit-or-miss finds like DVD's and useful items like large mailing envelopes. No fancy packaging, just the goods and a mailing envelope is an envelope is an envelope. I needed a few to mail a small stack of documents. Honestly, not sure of pricing at the post office, Staples or a drug store, but I only needed 4 and seriously doubt it would have been anywhere close to $1. read more

After many years, I decided to treat myself to a new set of towels and purchased 6 towels and a set of matching washcloths for a total of $21. After the first use, the bath towel began to shred as I dried off. I decided to return the defective merchandise when felt fortunate that I said yes after the clerk asked if I wanted a receipt. Upon trying to return them I was advised only exchanges were available and that information was posted at the bottom of the receipt. The only solution was to drive around with $21 worth of towels waiting for the right moment and need for $21 worth of dollar tree merchandise which would not happen in the course of my lifetime. I spoke to Steven who advised he was "just the manager" and would give me a number to his corporate office. Meanwhile he offered to call his Regional Manager. While on hold with corporate, Steven was able to reach his manager, Xandria who offered a refund THIS time but to be aware this would not happen again. I advised that there would not be a next time in which she said, "that's perfectly your right". I advised I advised this policy information is not posted anywhere else in the store and is not mentioned at checkout. She said "she is "just the regional manager" and not in charge if policy. Not once did anyone say that the situation was unfortunate of show an ounce of empathy. Upon receiving the refund I informed Steven that Xandria indicated the policy was posted on the door and in the store. When I advised him he said, "it used to be posted near the cash register. I don't know what happened to it. I was in executive management my entire career. The fact that employees are not empowered to take ownership is a sign off outdated leadership. Additionally, the store is in a state of disarray. I need to save money as much as any other consumer. However this is an unacceptable policy in a day and age of service being the only differentiater. read more

Went in to get birthday balloons. One cashier for 6 people in line. No one available to help with balloons. Employee waiting to start work (don't know why she couldn't clock in 3 minutes early to help) Zero hustle to help people! Now there's 20 people waiting in one line & the lady still hasn't even started doing our balloons. The selection, cleanliness and layout of this particular store leaves something to be desired. As always, love that everything is $1. Makes the math easy and actually lives up to "Dollar" claim in its title. Yes, there are items I would never consider purchasing here, but there are many staples that I check out before looking elsewhere. We love: Storage bins Spic N Span cleaner paper napkins gift bags/tissue paper Dental floss and toothbrushes Kids socks Craft supplies (glitter, feathers, glue, beads, pipe cleaners, etc) greeting cards stocking stuffer toys/candies Coloring books (never buy the generic crayons or you might as well try coloring with a candle). Dirtiest, most unorganized store I have ever seen. Product laying on the floors, shelves nearly empty. And forget the Women's restroom--the most filthy place you will see. Do not change your baby's diaper there. New management is obviously long overdue. Adriana, the front checkout clerk, was very kind and pleasant. I'll never shop at this location again. Once I already ran my card to pay, I realized my total didn't sound right. I checked my receipt & realized they rang me up an extra 7 times for an item. So I showed them the receipt so it could be fixed. I was told by all 4 associates in the store at the time that they don't do refunds or returns, so they couldn't give me my money back. Even though they charged me an extra 7 times!! I went around & around with them, asked for a gift card & they said they couldn't do that either. The best they could offer was to go pick another 7 things to take. Another customer noticed my frustration & helped explain how wrong it was to not give me my money back for something I didn't even buy! Another employee walked in the store as this was going on & finally agreed to give me the $7 back. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

This review is a general review of the Dollar Tree as a company, not just this location. I did have a bad taste in my mouth after my last visit, but I am more disappointed that after reaching out, the company has not responded. I purchased about $50 worth of party favors for my daughter's birthday. I did not know how many children would ultimately arrive and was purchasing with the intent to return whatever I didn't use. Well, I decided to go a completely different direction given the cost of providing each child with a gift bag full of $1 items was going to be too expensive. I chose a different party favor I found on Amazon, trying to save money. I wanted to keep about a third of the items I bought at Dollar Tree for party decor and return the rest to redeem costs. Unfortunately, they would not let me return the goods. They cited the bottom of their receipt which states they do not accept returns. The receipt is printed after you make the purchase -- so you are essentially stuck with their stuff after you buy it whether you want it or not. There was no transparency about it being a final sale. I asked for a store credit. They do not provide store credit -- only an exchange. So you must hold onto the items until they have something in your store you want. And to be honest, after that experience, I don't want anything in their store. So I left, very disappointed. After running to World Market next door, I came back to see if the manager would be helpful. I explained my situation to the manager and she told me to she'd be back to file a claim for me. She went into her office and made a personal phone call instead. I know it was a personal phone call because I heard her saying something about her ex boyfriend. After waiting with my baby between 5 and 10 minutes and feeling totally dismissed, I finally asked the cashier to get me the corporate number. She obliged. That was on 6/28/2018, a little under a month ago. I left a voicemail, on two different lines because there was no way to talk to a human. I explained the situation, and still have not received a call back. To this day, I have a bag of Dollar Tree items I no longer need shoved aside reminding me of this bad experience. I will likely donate them so that I don't have to look at them. At this point, it's not about the thirty something dollars I would like back, but it's the lack of integrity to clearly state a store policy until it's too late, and their lack of response that has turned me off as a customer. I would much rather shop in Target's more expensive $1+ section because the quality is much better and so is the customer service. read more

Came to the dollar tree for one single item... coffee filters literally one thing and according to my cell phone time which I'm sure is accurate it was 7:57PM the posted closing time was 8:00PM I get the the doors were locked and the gentlemen inside throws his hands up like sorry we are closed... I get people want to leave work on time however I'm sure they have closing duties that must be done still, and they were not going to be leaving that very second the clock struck 8:00PM. I'm more annoyed that I had to go back to wal mart and spend more time walking to the aisle finding the item then waiting in line when I could have been in and out with my one item at the dollar tree surely before 8:00PM. Went up to the store at 9:02am and their doors were locked. The hours posted in the window of the store says they open Monday-Saturday at 9am. Sat in the parking lot and waited to see if an employee would unlock the doors, and watched 3 other customers go to the door in a matter of 15 min and the doors were still locked. Tried calling the number for the store and it said the number was disconnected. If your store says open at 9am, THEN OPEN AT 9am. read more
