I've been shopping here off-and-on since 2015. I'd usually stop at Big Lots and occasionally go to this Dollar Tree. It isn't the smallest, but it isn't easy to find things. I spent a month working at this one in 2024 after working at the east side store for ten months. It's a world of difference, but I like everyone who works at both stores. That said, as the truck is unloaded, they're filling shelves. The store looks pretty good. In the afternoon, it feels as if all hell breaks loose and people randomly move things around the store. A customer complained that the workers were doing it. They don't have time for that. The company has worked hard to keep prices down and there are still things at $1.25 after 3+ years at that price. I like that they now have the same items I'd find at Target or Walmart, like the bigger container of Dawn. They also have some unique drinks that are more difficult to find. More than last year, people are shopping at Dollar Tree and the check lanes show it. No matter how fast you go, there always seems to be a line. This store is a sh*t hole and has the employees to match it. Chris, the one still hiding behind a mask like it's 2020, apparently doesn't know or more likely just does not want to follow the Dollar Tree exchange policy. I've attached that for you in the photos Chris. It was busy because this sh*t hole location is the only location open in Manteca at the moment since tweakers nearly burnt down the good location across town. So since it was busy I'm assuming you couldn't be bothered to do an exchange for 2 items that cost $1.25 *eye roll*...I'm pretty much done with Dollar Tree. I was on the fence before this incident. But Dollar General is becoming cheaper anyways and the workers there are so nice and not lazy. read more

I've shopped here several times in the past 18 months since moving back to the valley. I really like this Dollar Tree. Their aisles are taller than most and they are well stocked. I enjoy drinking the "Rip It" titled sugar-free energy drinks. The orange flavored with the yellowish-orangeish colored tab are my favorites. Now I've met individuals who swear that these don't work for energy and they drink Monster drinks or some quite costly brand. Personally I like that these increase my energy but do not tweak me out with an overdose of caffeine. I like and appreciate how clean this store is. It's located in the same shopping center as Goodwill Store, Rite-aid and Harbor Freight. The employees have always been polite and professional to me. I like this store. read more

I am new to the Lathrop area and needed to go to the closest dollar tree for a few things for the new house. I was hoping to find those little plastic baskets that you can put in a drawer to organize the kitchen utensils. This dollar tree was very small compared to the ones I'm used to in the Bay Area. The things they did have they had a lot of in stock but since it was such a small dollar tree, they didn't have a lot of the normal items. The store was clean and well laid out. And the cashier was very friendly! I didn't get her name but she had sort of a Hawaiian or Samoan accent. She was very nice and very helpful. Becca is extremely rude.. almost every time I go in there I encounter her and she has some sort of attitude.. just waited in a 20 minute line.. (which I don't mind waiting) but to have her tell me she was closed and I'd have to pick another lane. I had already been waiting there!!! Finally got to the front! Just to go wait in another line for another 10 minutes. Don't take you're attitude out on me because you have to work at Dollar tree. I've worked customer service forever and I've always been taught to finish with customers that have been waiting in my line then shut it down and not allow any New customers to get in my lane. So over her attitude if you have such a issue find a new job one not with the public since she has such a problem with her attitude.. and this isn't the first time this is just the time I've chose to write about it. read more

So today my family and I went to this store to get some stuff for our daughters school project. The store had a lot off items at a great price ($1 obviously lol), and we were able to get a good amount of items to work on her project for under $20. Our daughter also bought a bunch of items for herself just to play with. Wellllll our 10 year old being a 10 year old, forgot her bag full of her items apparently. We did not know anything was wrong until the amazing customer service associate, Carlos, ran outside all the way to our vehicle with our daughter's bag in hand. He seemed to be more than happy to have helped us and we were very grateful! Thank you for the amazing deals and thank you CARLOS for your amazing customer service. It's extremely unprofessional and putting off when the cashier is stuffing her mouth full of donuts talking with her mouth full of food as she's ringing me up and asking me if I want a bag to where I can't even understand her. I understand this is Dollar Tree but I know they are getting paid an hourly wage and I would least like some courteous service when I shop in your establishment. read more

I've visited this store twice lately, and the air conditioning has been not working. Associates say maybe two weeks since it broke down? It was 90 degrees outside and I'd say 95 inside...humid feeling. Sweat was dripping on my face (cashier even mentioned it). An elderly couple seemed to not be handling the heat well at all. Associates were all very nice and helpful, but shopping is almost unbearable with heat like that inside. I left earlier than planned, as did others. Those poor workers having to be in the continual heat for weeks? Surprised they show up. There are plenty of jobs available right now, so Dollar Tree should feel blessed employees are faithful. read more

Honestly, I love shopping at Dollar tree to get the most for my buck. For certain products, they are cheaper than Walmart! I usually shop here for the card selection, and get 2 cards for a buck. I am never disappointed on which cards I choose even for different occasions: birthdays, weddings, thank you, or even Hanukkah. The only downside is checkout is always a wait. I come here all the time because I'm a cheap person when it comes to material things in life. Store is clean, staff is nice for the most part. I would have given them five stars but this one lady who worked there farted infront of me. I couldn't back up people where behind me and the Isles are small so I tried pushing forward but it hit me like a cloud of farts... The worst dollar tree ever. Every time I go here the staff is incredibly rude and the lines are long with only one register. The last time I went here my 2 year old was throwing a fit while I was waiting in line for my turn. When I got to the register the clerk told me to let her friend go in front me. I have done business with the store for many years and have never had an issue until today. I purchased 2 glass bottles from them and when I got them home, they were both broken. Whether they were broken in the store or when the cashier (who obviously cared nothing about her job at all) threw them into a bag and they broke, the point is, they were broken. I tried to exchange them, NOT RETURN THEM, just EXCHANGE THEM and was told by some pimple faced moron named Jeremy that since I didn't have the receipt I couldn't exchange them. Really? Two lousy bucks moron, it's not like it's coming out of your stupid back pocket. All I wanted was 2 bottles that weren't broken. And when I got home, looked for the receipt, but couldn't find it, I thought, well, I'll talk to the manager about the problem. No such luck. Jeremy answers the phone and refuses to let me speak to the manager. He tells me HE's the manager. Umm, nope. I think not dude. I know the manager and you're not him. Everytime I go here " I say to myself never again!!" this place is the slowest and rudest! I swear everytime I go in here which is usually for foil ( i love the single sheet foil) cause I forgot it at the other dollar store or just ran out.. anyway!!! 4 employees in the store 2 up in the office (like usual)2 cashiers I waited 15min. In line for foil, 2people ahead of me with 2 items each! our casheir had to blow up balloons while 2 others were upstairs and when1 finally came down he was picking up go backs! lol this time I was pretty annoyed.. so I dont care how desperate I am..
