There is one on Capitol Ave and the other is near State Road 17 and Hillsdale. Obviously, it needs a big Dollar Tree Plus! sign out front because the days of $1.00 merchandise are done. Even the candy is more than that now. There is a fair amount of $5.00 items now. They have merchandise that you'll find at Walmart or Target but you don't have to stand in another line at another store to get it. I buy a lot of drinks and snacks at this one. They're usually well-stocked on most everything. They have a good frozen section with some brands you'd find elsewhere, such as Bibigo for Bao Buns and Mandu/Dumplings or the Golden Krust Jamaican Beef Patties. I wish I had a car so that I could load up. I still can't believe that Snyder's of Hanover pretzels are $1.25 for a big bag. I've seen some really amazing deals from time-to-time. Once I found Goli Ashkawanda, which was normally $13.99 for only $1.25. Staff are always good and try to make things better.

I remember that practically everything had "irregular" on it when I had previously visited and that is no longer the case. Hopefully, that means that sleeves aren't different lengths and they just couldn't afford labels. They seemed to have decent clothes and if you're not worried about designer labels, you'll be fine. I limited my visit to the men's area. People working there seemed friendly and observant. It's always good in retail to let everyone know that you see them and that you're watching.

Apparently someone…read morehad removed the anti theft device so the sharp poking edge was sticking out inside the hem of the jeans he was trying on. He poked his thigh while putting on the pants and it left a mark and pain. We brought it to the employees attention and they were very non chalant about it, saying it happens from time to time from people trying to steal clothes and remove the security tags. It was disappointing. They didn't fill out an injury report or even give us any sort of discount after he was injured. It literally looked like a needle sticking out in the pants. It really could be a health hazard. So while the prices are low and affordable here, I would suggest shopping elsewhere because there's no reason your safety shouldn't be a priority at a store.

It might not be there next week. I remember finding some Korean ramen/ramyun that I didn't even see in the Korean stores and the price was less than the Korean stores normally had for such a pack. Then, it was suddenly gone. I checked every store from Tracy to San Jose and didn't find it. They have a great aisle with vegetarian and vegan items. They have a good selection of meats and cheeses. Occasionally, I find drinks that I couldn't find elsewhere and then, they're gone the next time I visit. The Asian section is a little bare. Many stores fill in the section with the Americanized Asian stuff and sadly, I order online for many things, especially boxed Japanese tofu. The frozen section has loads of good stuff and I wish I had a car so that I could load up. The healthcare aisle often has things I would find at Target. Staff is always friendly and efficient.

And it's an older building but don't let that discourage you from shopping here. Always pleasant customer service at this location. Grocery Outlet has really stepped up it's organic/healthy food section. Amazing wine selection and I just noticed an impressive liquor section at the front of the registers. Also coming through with some bougie cheeses. Grocery Outlet has all the staples and lots of items you didn't know you needed. Amazing savings overall, these prices can't be beat! My 2 G.O. rules are as follows: 1. Check expiration dates. Not an issue for me if my cereal expired yesterday, but in dairy land, I'm conscious of dates. 2. If you find something you love, buy multiples, it may not be stocked next time.

I spent a month working at this one in 2024 after working at the east side store for ten months. It's a world of difference, but I like everyone who works at both stores. That said, as the truck is unloaded, they're filling shelves. The store looks pretty good. In the afternoon, it feels as if all hell breaks loose and people randomly move things around the store. A customer complained that the workers were doing it. They don't have time for that. The company has worked hard to keep prices down and there are still things at $1.25 after 3+ years at that price. I like that they now have the same items I'd find at Target or Walmart, like the bigger container of Dawn. They also have some unique drinks that are more difficult to find. More than last year, people are shopping at Dollar Tree and the check lanes show it. No matter how fast you go, there always seems to be a line. There is one weird thing: You cannot buy a gift card on cash register 2.

I've attached that for you in the photos Chris. It was busy because this sh*t hole location is the only location open in Manteca at the moment since tweakers nearly burnt down the good location across town. So since it was busy I'm assuming you couldn't be bothered to do an exchange for 2 items that cost $1.25 *eye roll*...I'm pretty much done with Dollar Tree. I was on the fence before this incident. But Dollar General is becoming cheaper anyways and the workers there are so nice and not lazy.
