I don't really shop here other than random odds and ends while I have time to kill in the area. My most recent trip here was to buy German beer mustard and a cloth folding chair for my 3yo nephew. I ended up also getting chocolate milk and paper towels because they have a large variety of things. The 5 minutes I was in the lot I was asked for change by a few people. This store is near a shelter. Jamestown, like many places, is in the grips of a heart breaking drug problem currently. This is very evident down in Brooklyn square parking lots right now. There are 3 large pharmacies, medical offices, shelters, a soup kitchen, urgent care, and the hospital all in very short walking distance of this place. Update : I had to return something I bought here the other day and the women working were wicked witches. Seriously, I have the $15 junk with it's package, tags, bag, and receipt...why is this such a hassle?

I mainly only get produce, meat, and Greek yogurt when tops is too busy and I don't have time to go to wegmans. Their cheese, milk, and Greek yogurts are good. Lines move fast because they don't bag you. You have to bring your own reusable bags, buy big bags from them, or wait your turn to use the flimsy free ones at the counter that they provide. That area is where it gets a little chaotic. I never get more than an arm full of things and I use my own wegmans bag I just throw everything in quickly. I don't like waiting on others haha.

I noticed the Granny Smith apples but they were small and didn't look good. I bought blueberries, blackberries, a six pack of Reese's cups, three different kinds of Cookie Pop popcorn, some light alcoholic drinks, and a few energy drinks. I didn't walk the store because I'd be buying even more unnecessary things. Cookie Pop popcorn is popcorn drizzled with different things on it. It's pricier at Tops and I bought three bags at this Savealot because it was only $2.88 each!!! I bought Oreo, M&M, and Chips Ahoy! Out of the three, the M&M is my favorite. There were three cash registers open. I only had to wait a few minutes, which was great. The employee was pleasant and cashed me out quickly, while I was being chatty. She had a great attitude and was joking about her job. (I mentioned that I have a second job at a grocery store too.) If I'm ever in the area, I'll definitely return here. It was a great experience.
