Yes, malls are dying off and as you walk through this one, you can't help but sense the impending decay. But for what it is or what is left of it, it's clean enough and crime free hence OK.

I like this one and when shopping Walmart tend to shop here rather than where I usually hang just south of the state boarder in Warren, Pennsylvania. In this Walmart at least you can buy wine and beer. You can't do that in Pennsylvania as wine may only be sold in high priced state owned stores and beer only at a premium price from a beer of liquor licensed bar or beer distributor. Ugh! This Walmart Supercenter also has a much better selection in food. Like they even carry buffalo which is my most favored meat as the diet of the buffalo is basically antibiotic and growth hormone free, plus it's far less fatty.

The Jamestown region already struggles with limited accessibility, variety, and quality in its retail options, and losing JCP and having another empty building in the area would only make that worse. The staff here genuinely seem well-trained (please take note Target and Walmart) and are consistently pleasant to interact with. I think a guy names Juan was famous for his customer service here, although I haven't seen him the last few times, but he was top notch. While JCP might not be the most exciting store, it's reliable for what it offers, and when I am here, I find myself choosing it over the other branded stores nearby.

The mall closes at 6 and we didn't get to their door until then. They were nice enough to let us get our games, didn't rush us or have an attitude at all, and the girl was super nice to our kids! My husband was trying a phone case on his phone and apparently left his phone on the counter when we left. We were almost outside of the mall, and the nice guy came running with it!! I don't really shop here other than random odds and ends while I have time to kill in the area. My most recent trip here was to buy German beer mustard and a cloth folding chair for my 3yo nephew. I ended up also getting chocolate milk and paper towels because they have a large variety of things. The 5 minutes I was in the lot I was asked for change by a few people. This store is near a shelter. Jamestown, like many places, is in the grips of a heart breaking drug problem currently. This is very evident down in Brooklyn square parking lots right now. There are 3 large pharmacies, medical offices, shelters, a soup kitchen, urgent care, and the hospital all in very short walking distance of this place. Update : I had to return something I bought here the other day and the women working were wicked witches. Seriously, I have the $15 junk with it's package, tags, bag, and receipt...why is this such a hassle?
