So happy I stopped here to check things out. I'm a huge fan of wholesale clubs as you get such a…read morebetter deal buying in bulk vs small portions at regular grocery stores. Suns is pretty unique from your Costco and Sam's as they have a larger variety of unique seafoods. They are the only place in Houston I can find raw chicken nuggets that you have to cook fully. This means it tastes much better with less of those preprocessed ingredients. I go here exclusively for my snow crabs and beef fajitas. The quality is off the charts and the size of the snow crabs are massive compared to the tiny ones at your local grocery store. I also find some excellent authentic Asian ingredients and it's always so convenient to pop in and out of there really quickly. What I dislike about it however is their online shopping is non-existent. Their web site isn't helpful at all so don't think you can go there to browse anything. You have to go there to see what they offer. You also don't have to commit to a yearly membership. You can pay like $5 for a daily membership and buy anything in the store you want in that one trip. Save and Prosper!

Will not be renewing the membership and will tell all my friend and family who have membership here to stop buying from this place!

Also, she said the date on that was wrong and I told her that they need to have more oversight and clearly do not getting paid enough because their store is ALWAYS disorganized and trashed. Next time I come here I'm visiting with my lawyer husband and will make them give me whatever they advertise specified or not. They better be very careful with their wording and the signs that they leave up.. They've had these up since 10/22/2025?!?! Also, the Huggies, wet wipes were still shrink wrapped on the pallet and had no pricing. When I went up and asked they were oblivious as to what I was talking about?!? I think I'm going to stop going to Ollie's. They need to have better cameras/eyes as far as customer shoplifting. I saw an older lady with a walker that was hunched over stuffing things in her purse. And I saw man, shoving things into his bag that he clearly did not pay for yet.

Ok, so everything here is $1.09 instead of what one would think would be a .99 cent store but it…read moreisn't false advertisement since nowhere on the building does it say that nor mentioned in it's name. Now onto what is event happened to me on this trip. I walked into the door with mother in tow and was met by a Mid Eastern guy with "Good afternoon, would you like a shopping cart?" WHOA Horsey! You don't get that kind of treatment at any .99 (ok. $1.09, picky picky) store or even many department stores, scored a star on that. This store has a pretty good organization structure and you know what?.......THERE ISN'T STUFF STREWN ALL OVER THE ISLES! You! managers, franchise owners, wanna be owners of the .99 cent and dollar tree stores, if you ever walk in here please take heed to how this place is kept. Look up the isles, look down the isles, look at the fool that came only to buy a few things for his daughter's school project and loaded up the cart with $50 of stuff (ok, that might be me), there hardly isn't anything in the isles. The store owner/management has their head on right when they have their employees (or would it be themselves?) on the upkeep of this place, kudos do you, there are newer, cleaner and less busy stores and here seems to beat them by a touch, gee you'd think this was a privately owned store, guess what, I'll bet you $1.09 it is. You will find almost every major thing that you would find at KIng Dollar, .99 cents, dollar tree store like dog food, shampoo, deodorant, kitchen stuff, candles, toys, candy, roach penises, cookies, silk/fake flower/plant stuff, school supplies, hats, flopper stoppers and of course 2 liter sodas and more. What you will NOT find here unfortunately is a refrigerated cold section but you know what? You can't win them all, who wants to buy .99 grey ground beef anyways? At least the peptol bismol substitute is always on hand. Parking is more than ample, in what seems like a half dying lot with other businesses actually still manages to survive. Atmosphere, ok, it felt like 82 degrees in here but understandably electric bills are always high in any building especially commercial accounts, I don't blame Giant Dollar for cutting back a little. I always manage to find myself back here about once every two months but always find my way back and so should you, just to see what an actual "clean" uncluttered isled store is supposed to look like. And by the way, the roach thing I was kidding about, just wanted to see if you were paying attention. Have a good day and happy shopping, clean up in isle 9. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tips to new Yelpers: Have you noticed that maybe a review of yours has been "filtered"? Try making a few more reviews like maybe 15 and you probably will get the "suspicion" arm lifted and your review might come back as being legitimite, two or three sentenced reviews do not count. Welcome to YELP.

I found it amusing how they have a pack of identical 60, 80, and 120 hair pins all for $1.09 each. I come in here randomly exploring the place for something that may have fell of the Target truck. You can find almost anything here, (well you won't find it without help but it's there), they have 2L sodas (Dr. Pepper), underwear (hmm.), table cloths (by the foot), medicine, etc etc whatever you want. The items hanging along the wall have no organization, I tried to understand what category all the things next to each other belonged to but there isn't a category unless you want to call it Misc. I try to stick to brands that I'm familiar with when buying personal items, (some copycat brands look just like the real thing btw) and check the expiration of course. I like the cheap Suave shampoo. Also one of the cashiers/owner is very friendly and will leave his post to find an item for me. because god knows all the stockers don't speak English.
