Some people are pretty serious about grabbing what they can but it's all good. The staff is really friendly and quick to checkout. My son accidentally got the wrong size phone case and the staff let us come back in and look for another one to exchange. No questions. No problem. Cool little spot for quick deals!! If you can't be here on Friday, just get here before Tuesday to increase your chances of finding deals. Also, wear closed toe shoes for the "new table rampages" that happen every hour on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Plus they do raffles on all three days as well.

You don't get that kind of treatment at any .99 (ok. $1.09, picky picky) store or even many department stores, scored a star on that. This store has a pretty good organization structure and you know what?.......THERE ISN'T STUFF STREWN ALL OVER THE ISLES! You! managers, franchise owners, wanna be owners of the .99 cent and dollar tree stores, if you ever walk in here please take heed to how this place is kept. Look up the isles, look down the isles, look at the fool that came only to buy a few things for his daughter's school project and loaded up the cart with $50 of stuff (ok, that might be me), there hardly isn't anything in the isles. The store owner/management has their head on right when they have their employees (or would it be themselves?) on the upkeep of this place, kudos do you, there are newer, cleaner and less busy stores and here seems to beat them by a touch, gee you'd think this was a privately owned store, guess what, I'll bet you $1.09 it is. You will find almost every major thing that you would find at KIng Dollar, .99 cents, dollar tree store like dog food, shampoo, deodorant, kitchen stuff, candles, toys, candy, roach penises, cookies, silk/fake flower/plant stuff, school supplies, hats, flopper stoppers and of course 2 liter sodas and more. What you will NOT find here unfortunately is a refrigerated cold section but you know what? You can't win them all, who wants to buy .99 grey ground beef anyways? At least the peptol bismol substitute is always on hand. Parking is more than ample, in what seems like a half dying lot with other businesses actually still manages to survive. Atmosphere, ok, it felt like 82 degrees in here but understandably electric bills are always high in any building especially commercial accounts, I don't blame Giant Dollar for cutting back a little. I always manage to find myself back here about once every two months but always find my way back and so should you, just to see what an actual "clean" uncluttered isled store is supposed to look like. You can find almost anything here, (well you won't find it without help but it's there), they have 2L sodas (Dr. Pepper), underwear (hmm.), table cloths (by the foot), medicine, etc etc whatever you want. The items hanging along the wall have no organization, I tried to understand what category all the things next to each other belonged to but there isn't a category unless you want to call it Misc. I try to stick to brands that I'm familiar with when buying personal items, (some copycat brands look just like the real thing btw) and check the expiration of course. I like the cheap Suave shampoo. They have a large selection of toddler, teen, young adult, How To books, craft books and history books. Almost all of the books I bought were $2.99/$3.99. Regular price was $19.99 and $14.99! This location was more tidy than the College Station location and also had a better selection of toys/games. The cashier was very friendly and polite.

Ollies Bargain Outlet is certainly a bargain if you know where to look. I was personally surprised to find name brand household items and other assorted items like toasters and coffee makers for affordable prices so if you plan to visit, my advice is- compare pricing. I personally found the selection sufficient. They quite literally house more refrigerators I've ever seen stored in one location in my life. Finding a matching washer and dryer set is challenging. Navigating all of the lighting fixtures takes time as they're mostly boxed (instead of displayed) but all in all, I'm personally willing to trade time for money. I don't mind a returned item or a little dink now and then so long as the item is functional and serving the purpose I need it to. The refrigerator deals are, alright (still pretty expensive and without installation and a good majority are incomplete or damaged), but moving boxes are super affordable. Plus, the service is solid and there are plenty of other goods and materials for all of your home projects. It's certainly worth a visit!
