I rather like this. However, growing up, my parents seemed to think that the place to go was Factory Connection. First let me say, I have mad respect for FC. In 2006 my parents gave me a $200 gift card to this store. Initially, I was a bit disappointed. While they are scattered about East Texas (basically exclusively), I lived in Denton at the time. I figured I would never use it. Fast Forward to 2014. I still had not used it. It was a printed receipt with a balance of $200. Over the years it had faded a bit. Also, FC had switched systems. Now it was all electronic. Despite this (it had no expiration date) the manager went above and beyond and got me my $200 credit. I will never forget it. They carry many brands that you cannot get out there (and honestly, may not want to - hence the minus 1 star) like Flypaper, Affliction, American Eagle, Polo, a bunch of paisley "Southern" brands I recognize and even had some of my favorite, Penguin. Though very little of it had the athletic/slim fit I needed. I did snag one shirt. The store is small and full. Summer was a great associate. The items are pretty deeply discounted. If you like the style of things they sell, certainly worth checking out.

They have boxes…read moreof milk just sitting out and they expect this one cashier to get it put up in time but instead it gets left set out and then sold us and it's no good by the time we get home it's bad because it set out because Dollar General won't hire more employees because they're too cheap. They won't even give these employees 40 hours because they don't wanna pay for health insurance. It's really not the employees fault that Dollar General is so cheap. Let's not talk about how half the time the coupons don't even work you went through all that to click coupons then you get in there and you check out and it doesn't work. In fact it just freezes the machine and the next thing you know everybody's pissed off because the coupons won't load Dollar General is the biggest fraud corporate!

Twice this week I was in a short line and a issue with the customers phone coupon and even though three people ended up working on the issue they didn't seem to have a clue how to resolve the problem. The second time was a weather related problem with the thank you card discounts. There is a gentleman named Henry that I have watched for a couple of years and he should be the manager of this store. His energy level and his intellect make him stand out. I've seen him be thoughtful and helpful for seniors and I can't imagine him letting a checkout line being stopped dead over a coupon or 5% discount. I was told the clerk at the register was busy to go to he other register. The clerk who was chowing on chips rung me up and bagged my shoes without even wiping her hands. In fact, I never would have known about this place, but my sister works for someone who creates fun CD sleeves with all kinds of artistic flare. I went with my sister to pick up some stamps for her boss the other day and I'm so glad I know this place exists (you know, if I ever decide to put my stamp on something). From the outside it looks like any one of the normal old brick buildings in Deep Ellum. It fits in perfectly with the older-look, almost retro small businesses. The moment you walk inside you're instantly swept into a magical world of stamp madness. If you can imagine it, they have it printed on a rubber stamp; everything from the Virgin Mary to Elvis! But the coolest thing is that they will make custom stamp designs for you: images, words, designs - you name it. Here's hoping for the start of a stamp revolution!
