Usually short staffed but the cashiers are always fast, friendly and multitasking by answering the phone, so cut them some slack. Service was stellar. Selection is wretched. There are aisle s & aisles with empty shelves. Looks like bombed Beirut up in here. Nothing I came here for was available. Who is in management purchasing team? There are none of the products shown in videos from $ Trees in AZ, Minnesota, FL. I filled up cart w/true essentials: TP, toothpaste, pork rinds, to the tune of $70 anyway. Thank you, Glendale $, for stocking Brillo scrub pads. Yet there were no Brillo cleaning sprays, the cleaning section, as other sections, looked bare bones. Both employees were cordial. I get wider selection @ East Hollywood 99 Cent. It's a pitiful place bks lack of any quality products. I wd have paid, $2.50, $5 in certain home decor, crafting, or beauty aisles. I did grab 10 empty spray bottles. They come in handy @ my crib. Shoot. I purchased 6 small bags of beef jerky, my snack treat. Pros: pleasant employees, pork rinds, TP. Cons: nothing upscale, scarcity of kids toys, dearth of home decor, crafting items, foods, condiments, spices of interest. Glendale is home 2 1,00s of discerning, affluent Armenians, Latinos. Not the best or biggest Dollar Tree I have been to. It is smaller than many others I have been to. Seems like they are always out of items too... I'm not sure how often they restock, but other Dollar Trees seem much better stocked with items and have more variety also. Also, I do not think they hire enough workers here. There always seems to be only one, maybe 2 people working when I come. I like the Dollar Tree in Pasadena much better. It's bigger and has much much more items. Most of the time when I come here, what I need is always out. The store shares a parking with Chipotle. Just drive slow in the parking and be careful when backing out and leaving/entering. The parking is one way lane on each side... but people seem to not know how arrows work and drive the wrong way many times!! Even once when I was leaving, it was CLEARLY a one way lane, because it is a small lane and as I was leaving to turn onto the street, even though the lane on the other side has an arrow for her to turn in, she tried to turn the wrong way into the lane I was leaving, as I was leaving!! read more

Stopped by this store to pick up a few items. Not sure if I picked a day that they were expecting a shipment but the shelves were sorta bare. I like this store because it's roomy and they tend to carry more of something, but today was off. Seems it was only one cashier and no sales floor help but at least the line moved pretty fast. I've shopped here since opening. So let me give you all a REAL REVIEW because I'm tired. In the beginning it was a work in progress as any store would be on a small scale, but they've vastly improved. My grandfather being one of the biggest critics wherever he would go. Management sucked, you couldn't even walk down the aisles because products were on the floor, spills, us as customer tossing shit, management didn't care, staff was overworked and didn't care either. I had one tell me once to please make a complaint because no one would listen to them. Fast forward now & I can say management is top tier and a HUGE difference from years ago..given the size of the store. They're all are super helpful, on top of things and educated on their products. The cashiers I've dealt with have practiced efficiency and are polite when dealing with getting you in and out. I've seen some customers be super nasty, I get it, but it's not hard to be nice people. I've also seen an upgrade with their checkout machines too. I've worked with terminal systems and to let shoppers know....That technology doesn't mean fast or efficient. I've worked with the machines you swipe your cards on for over a decade. So don't bash the employees. All machines can take a crap, like your phones, internet, computers, it's not a magic wand. Also, I just came back from out of state and if you think this store is bad? You'd cry and kick yourself at the ones I've seen. The employees won't even bother to know you exist aside from cash, card and gtfo. The selection you find in this store is not going to have everything you see on tiktok or YouTube let be honest...it's a small store BUT as a weekly shopper you will find GREAT PRODUCTS! I've found items you will find at another grocery/retail store that you might as well sell your soul for. Literally! Any real coupon/bargain shopper in California will know exactly what I'm talking about. You get more bang for your buck here and the generic brands actually work hell of a lot better than name brands. Just saying you can't beat the prices or value. They have a time frame as to when they need to get in and out. You can't block a fire hydrant..especially if there's a fire. So don't block their way when you all know what day their truck shows up. ‍ Be like the rest of us hating life and drive around the block a few times and find somewhere to park your car!! Basically don't be a douchebag. This is my HONEST review. It's a small store so they won't have everything but it's cost efficient with some hidden gems. The staff has vastly improved, the store is well organized, terminals sucks wherever you go, don't block parking, be polite, and you may end up being a long time customer like me. If not, there's overpriced Ralph's, Target, Rite Aid, Dollar King and CVS around the corner. I don't usually write reviews but this place is so unorganized and low in inventory. The reason for my 1 Star is because I wanted to exchange something but it didn't have the price tag. Ok my fault for not checking but they immediately dismissed me and took the next customer and totally avoided the 6 ft physical distancing between me and the other customer. I was appalled how my safety was totally disregarded. I told them it was fine that I couldn't exchange it but I wanted to purchase the item. She then took me at another register. Mind you the line had about 5 people and one register open while that "Manager" was messing around with sunglasses fixture just glancing at us. I was a witness to bad management. They improperly had a woman's car towed after claiming she was "blocking" access to the oversized delivery truck. This was an elderly lady and the manager rudely yelled at her claiming he made an announcement. The customer who is Armenian didn't understand and the manager continued to be rude an apathetic to her. She had to call someone to pick her up. She was parked in a legal space and the manager was more worried about company profits then this lady's well being. I encouraged her to seek a lawyer because she has a possible case of predatory towing. The point is, she was a customer and there was no excuse for the manager's behavior towards her. People over profits. I will not shop there anymore until the manager apologizes to her and reimburses her impound and towing fees. I will review the towing company next who probably gave them a kickback for this atrocious act to an elderly v customer. read more

Dollar General Glendale's a one stop shop. The floors and fixtures were clean. Yet, this place was a complete mess and everybody's busy at work. They must move merchandise quickly. So if your friend goes to the Dollar Tree and tells you about something, don't expect to find the same thing when you finally get there. There's still some Halloween Candy left and some decorations, but Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas items are starting to pack into the corner. There's mylar helium balloons and a big greeting cards selection (2/$1 and $1). They carry hardware supplies. The holy bible in paperback ($1), other books, school supplies, stickers and toys. A lot of cleaning products (Comet, Palmolive, Fabulouso, Clorox, Windex and generic), few pantry goods and a neat frozen foods section (Banquet, Jimmy Dean, SuperPretzel, PicSweet, JIF, DelMonte, Renalydo's and some more...). The cheap cosmetics section appeared exclusive and clean like it was in its own zone. AngelSoft too. My shocking discovery.... I can easily guessimate that this Dollar Tree location's 50% brandname and 50% generic. I don't like that Dollar General's centrally located across the street from WholeFoods and next to Chipotle. It's like the makings of a whole new consumer type. Also, the parking lot's congested, mixed with store chain and apartment building parking with private parking signs everywhere I find an available space. I do like that they have brandname products of all sorts, a weekly sales circular and item of the week. Was waiting in a long line with a heavy basket of items, one of the workers who was an older black lady, decided to help the person in the back of me, so I went in the line and was told the register wasn't open. I then went back in my original line where I was, then she kept calling the people right behind me (again) to go to her register so she can check them out. I don't know if I was profiled, or what it was for her to single me out for whatever reason. Idk if I was profiled, but definitely was disappointing in that behavior. Oh Wow! I usually dont shop here but today I was looking for some graduation balloons and since other stores were out of it I ended up checking in here. What a huge mistake! Besides the stores messiness I finally found some deflated grad balloons, so I approached to one of the cashiers and politely asked if they have any other in the back or if at least they can fill it again. I love this Dollar Tree it is so convenient because it is between my work and home. My ex Rebecca and I used to come here when we were still together. She and I would walk down the aisles look at all the new products and joke around with each other. Her laughter was infectious. She would laugh and play with her hair. This would cause the smell of her shampoo and perfume to waft up into the air. I am really missing that part of her. Lately, I think about going into a store and purchasing a bottle of her old shampoo. Or maybe go to a fancy department store and pick up her favorite perfume. I could make my house smell like she had just been there and maybe for a moment I can think about what it was like if she never left me for my cousin. But I know that I would just be lying to myself and that would be the wrong thing for me right now. It's just that my memories of her seem so fragile lately and I'm terrified of forgetting her. Anthony was amazing! He immediately offered help. He realized I was confused and possibility looking for something. I informed him of what I needed that was not out on the floor and he stated right away that he believes there may be a final box in the back that could have the sizing of the bags I needed. I was so happy when he walked out with a box full of it. I needed them for New Years and he came through. I appreciate the extra step. This was my 3rd Dollar Tree I went to and it was out everywhere. During this crazy holiday season, he still managed to go out of his way to make it right for the customer. You are very much appreciated.
