This dollar tree really needs to step it up. The shelves are practically empty. And they didn't have any bags to put my stuff in.

Wow. I had high hopes for this store, given its location. What a shame. It was a total mess, and the merchandise available is subpar, even for a dollar store. There was a huge spill of some sort, with yellow warning signs around it. After being there for 20 mins., the spill was still there. No telling how long it was left. Lawsuit just waiting to happen. Don't waste your time here. Update 2018: went there again in Dec. and it was so much better. Clean and organized. Good job. Changing from 1 to 4 stars. read more

I shop here because I have to. Of all the years I've shopped here, it hasn't been great but today's experience was the worst. Normally, I find most of the stuff I'm looking for, but on Sunday evening, chances are most of the shelves are going to be empty. I went there 15 minutes before closing, got in, and there were very few people. I got some stuff, but the other two items I really needed they didn't have. As I was looking at one item, the manager, who must be new, I haven't seen him before, came and said in a very rude tone "ma'aam, we're closed!" basically he's telling me to get the f out of there. I had the item in my hand but noticed it had a damage. I put that one back, almost got another one, and he came to me again (mind you there still was time left) and he said the same thing very rudely again. I felt so bad, never had anyone treated my like that before, anywhere, then I just grabbed one and went to the cashier, and he was standing there and he saw some people wanted to come in, he yelled "Yeah, we're closed! That's WHY the door is locked! And then I asked him if he can get the first item I needed, he said "Oh they're in the back, then sarcastically he went and "checked" came back and said "The gate is locked". Then as the cashier was ringing up my items, the manager, who still stood not far from me, said " We got 1800 or something like that shipment coming tomorrow....yeah, THAT'S going to be a doozy!" I've never felt this bad in my life, it's as if he was waiting to jump down someone's throat. There's another woman there, she always treats me so kindly, it was a pleasure to shop there just because of her, but this guy, they must've been desperate for employees when they hired him, I have no idea how he's keeping his job. And all this happened in the presence of the poor young Armenian guy, who tried to help with the damaged item, but left because the manager intimidated him. He's too abusive, the owner should fire him and that other woman with short brown hair who's extremely rude with the way she speaks and forgets that this isn't her daddy's shop, and she CAN get fired too. If you're the owner and you're reading this, shame on you for keeping employees like this, obviously you come from a third world country and these abusive ways is the "norm" for you. News flash, this isn't how a successful business is run you du**a**.... just what are you trying to accomplish before your business goes under? read more

Horrible The isles are small, filled with cartons. Shelves are sloppy and prices hard to find. Only have about 8 carts so no cart for my toddler here. What's wrong with glendale shops? Sloppy sloppy sloppy. Why to shoppers put up with these types of shop "unkeepers"? Never will go back. read more

This store which I always comeback & its my favorite store is because they have an excellent employee which is very very helpful and very considerate & her name is Norma.. I'm surprise she knows everything. She always greet us when we come & dont forget to say thank you come back again.. it makes us very special.. that's why we always comeback.. This store has got to be the worst Dollar Tree I've ever been to. There's only one cashier working and one really long line. They have three other employees and they wouldn't open another line. At least three other folks in line asked if another lane would open soon, and the other employees didn't say anything, except for one guy who said, "I'm not really good with cash registers." It's unbelievable how customer service means nothing to most of the employees here. read more

I like this Dollar Tree. They have a wide variety of inventory always available, and I am happy with the location of this place. Parking is very easy. I've never had trouble finding parking. I truly enjoy going to this Dollar Tree primarily due to the staff. They are incredibly friendly. Even though they only have a few registers open, I can tell the staff works very hard to accommodate their customers, and manage the balloons as well. I was helped by a cashier named Norma, who rung up my items and helped me with my balloon purchases. She was so patient and very kind. read more

Even one star is too much for this location. It seems that management does not care about correcting the hours either on Yelp or on Google. Lots of shoppers like me came at 9:00pm being confident that the store supposed to be open until 10pm since Yelp and Google says that. Employees closed the door in front of our faces telling that they know that the hour messed up, but they are not going to let us in. read more

They refused to allow me to pay with my Samsung Pay even though it works. It was the same card in my wallet and they refuse to let it go through. They kept cancling my transaction. Get with the times it works on all credit card machines and I showed it to you to see it was my card. read more

I can't understand how this tiny store used to be a Trader Joe's! Yesterday the line to the register went all the way around the store. I ran to grab something quick but of course like many dollar trees hiring enough staff to have two registers open is not an option. I won't complain about employees because I am assuming that they're not allowed to be standing by the register but they do. Jews to complain if they under staffed. I eagerly waited for the opening of this Dollar Tree. I work walking distance from here which makes it supper convenient. Parking was easy, although the entrance to the actual store is all the way on the other side of the building. Store was very clean and organized, which i hope remains like this after not being new anymore. They have a wide selection of stuff. I found everything i was looking for. They offer a quite big selection of Greeting Cards ( almost felt like being at a Hallmark) and they where all $1. Their was so many to choose from i had to take a few minutes to find the ones that best suited the occasions. I also was lucky to find a great quality Baby Shower Gift bag and matching tissue paper to decorate with. And too complete everything they offer a nice variety of Helium "foil" baloons. Moving on I took the time to walk down most of the aisles to see what other goodies i could find and i was able to find a case for my new Iphone 6S Plus, screen protectors in packs of 2 and even charging cables. ( just a heads up they had all this for other phones and tablets aswell). Picked up some other goodies aswell, but what made me ding one star off was the fact that their was only one cashier open and their was about 6-9 people in line. And their was about 3 employees standing around discussing other work stuff. I wish one of them would have took the time to open another register. But At the end its a new store and hopefully they continue to improve. read more

I am so impressed with the service I received from their employees. I needed 20 green star balloons for my sons birthday on Sunday. I called on Friday to find out if they had that many and the employee that answered was rining someone up, but still managed to be courteous to me. She asked if I could call back so that she could count them. She later confirmed they had enoungh then I spoke to the manager and asked if I could pay for them on Saturday for pick up on Sunday which she ok'd. Needless to say they were ready. We all know the "whatever's out is out" line, but this time it was simply ridiculous. I asked Aliyah to help me find a product they normally ALWAYS have. As I proceeded to show her the item I was looking for, she immediately responded with "oh no we don't have it." I then said "you didn't even check...." and then she just mockingly laughed at me as if pretending to be cute. Disgusting customer service. read more

I absolutely love this place because everything in Glendale is totally overpriced and I can't afford anything. But then when this dollar tree opened up right next to me it was so convenient and I was so happy. Honestly think I'm gonna end up living here considering Glendale is just too much I can't. The only reason why I'm giving this Dollar Tree store a 5 star is because they provide excellent customer service. One staff in particular, named Norma, was very helpful and friendly. I commend her for her patience in dealing with rude and inconsiderate customers. One customer had ridiculous demands, paid with an EBT card while carrying an expensive purse and then drives off in an expensive car (I see that a lot in Glendale). Unbelievable! The store itself is a mess, mainly because they are understaffed. They also need to update their cash registers, so that if I'm buying 20 of the same item, they only have to scan 1 item, and then (x 20), instead of scanning them one by one. read more

I like the dollar tree, but there are people that let their kids run around the store, throwing stuff and making a mess. Everytime I go there I see that they are running around trying to stock merchandise and trying to help the customers as much as they can and still people are not happy with the help they receive. The store will be clean if customers weren't so dirty and leave stuff all over the store. One time I saw cups full of soda from another restaurant all over the store and I saw who people were. It is not fair that we blame the workers when we as customers have a responsibility to keep the store clean so we could be happy shoppers. read more

This place is horrible and deserves zero stars. Last time I checked, people are paid to work and work entails providing excellent customer services skills. Ha! I thought it was one particular employee that has an attitude problem. Nope, every single employee I have encountered here is ridiculous. No greetings and no smiles. It's as if I'm forcing them to work there. Today there was a huge line and the lady at the cash register was holding up the line by taking 10 minutes to tie one freaking balloon. Proper service would include saying, "I'll be right with you guys." I wouldn't be surprised if she was doing it on purpose. Finally, after 15 minutes another register opened and a kind customer asked politely if she may go into that line and the man rolled his eyes and rudely replied "come over here." One of their cashiers charges for more than the items you will purchase! I went there twice, and she did it twice to me and I saw her doing the same thing to the customer that was in line before me. there were 4 cards and 4 party bags and she scanned them five times and over charged for them! then she did the same thing to me too... When I confronted her she gave me attitude and said i can choose an item to make up for the over charge but she cant give me my money back!!! First time i went there i got over 40 vases for a party i am planning and she put them in bags for me, second time I got more vases and she refused to give me any bags because i had confronted her about her over charging me twice and the customer next to me. All these incidents happened with the same cashier. If you end up going to this place make sure count and check your receipt! read more

This store is not open until 10pm. It closes at 9pm. Very disappointing to drive all the way out and find it was closed.

The only great thing about this store are the prices. However, employees need an attitude check. 10+ Customers standing in line AND ONLY ONE REGISTER OPEN!? Ridiculous. read more
