This dollar store is like a little quick emergency stop for my most random needs. Like I am currently in this crazy organizing mode and everything has to have its own place, but containers can get really pricey and am not trying to break the bank with my home projects so that is why I come here. It is conveniently located by an area I go to frequently so, help me (!!!) I always find a reason to get in this store. Do I like everything I find here, no but I try my best to pick certain very specific items like seasonal stuff, party supplies, or like now, closet organizer containers. Found everything I needed. I am also pretty excited that they now have a gift card section where you can get popular gift cards like Amazon, Target, video games ones, restaurants etc, that tends to be very helpful too. I don't find the store to be super clean but I can imagine places like that are very high traffic but I kind of keep my expectations low for this type of store based on that. All in all, I am excited I bought the containers I needed today to keep sprinting towards keeping my brand new home organized from start. read more

So y'all today I was in the store right trying to get sour skittle drink but they didn't have it so I went to the back buy me some stake and I found a this.. but anywho I bought it and feed it to my wife and she enjoyed it. After I was walking down the aisle of the fridge and found mold in the fridge..... life lesson if u scrape it off and put it on stake it taste like a filet minion from outback stake house. Came into this location today looking for party decorations and asked an employee if they had anything matching the theme I was going for. The employee Dustin was so helpful! They went out of their way to look with me, and then got more merchandise from the back to provide more options! They truly went out of their way and made it a great experience! read more

Went in to buy a gift bag and asked the cashier to place it into a bag at the checkout in case it had glitter on it and she got attitude with me and kept saying it wasn't going to fit. Sure enough it did, but she continued to argue that it didn't. I just don't understand why people have to have an attitude and can't just be solutions oriented. I didn't come to argue with a cashier. I have been going to this particular store since it opened over 10 yrs ago. In the past year it has really been progressively worse as far as stock, staff, cleanliness and appearance. In the past month it's been worse than ever !! whatever help is there they have been standing around doing nothing. Boxes that need to be put on bare shelf's inside & outside is a hot mess. Someone from your corporate office needs to look at who if anyone needs to do their job or this store is a definite fail. read more

This area is unfortunately turning into Chicago. While at the dollar store I was in line behind a man who was checking himself out. Only 2 self checkouts open, no cashiers or employees anywhere. The checkout wasn't working, red light came on, screen was not functioning so he walked over TWICE to the large window that's a two way, no one came out so he grabbed his cards and left. Theft. Right in broad daylight. 5 pm. I proceeded to checkout on the other self checkout while approximate 20 people were in line waiting. Finally out of nowhere an employee comes to clear the other self checkout, I let him know what happened and advised someone should be upfront. He didn't help one single customer nor say a peep to me. The employees are also an issue, 100%. Background checks needed. read more

This is the closest location to my home. Always super friendly and helpful staff, however the store is becoming to be very dirty and run down. Not sure of the last time that the floors were dusted and cleaned. The 1st shopping cart that I chose the rubber wheel had fallen off and I could barely push the cart. I enjoy that the products are continuously changing for seasonal items. Best place to purchase greeting cards. Went to Fry's the other day to get a simple generic birthday care and it was priced at 5.69, heck Id rather pay 50 cents, slide some cash in the card and call it a good birthday. The only reason I put a one star because I had to. I went into this store to pick up a few things I needed and went to go ck out, there was only the self check out with the line as long as the isle, there was no one to be found at all in the front, not even the mgr, so as I got up to the self check out register I scanned the first item out it in the bag, then my second item I had I couldn't scan because there was no tag on it, once again I looked for help which there was no one to be found, I told the customers I'm sorry I have to go get another item with a tag on it so I can scan it. Got the item came back to the front to find finally the mgr up front erasing my order, I said hold on this is mine, he said well your holding up the line, I said well I had to go get another item so I could scan it and u were not here or anyone else, this mgr was getting very angry and said well, my employee needs a break and I have been working 12 hrs, I'm sorry it's not my fault the item didn't have a tag on it and there was no assistance to help me, if he's working that many hrs and only have one person work this guy needs to hire more people and stop being a tight wad ti save money, customers shouldn't have to wait in this long line and all items should be marked with a tag so the customer doesn't have to go hunting down the price. There should always be someone up front making sure the customers are taken care of. I will never step my foot into this store again, not sure if he was also the owner but you do t treat customers like that. He was very angry read more

It's the dollar store, so I don't have super high expectations in the first place, but this location is pretty good. It's usually clean and well organized and the lines move quickly. I love the variety of items available and it's always fun to see the seasonal offerings. read more

They overcharged me and they don't do refunds. I only bought one eye glass cleaning cloth and when I went to go look at my receipt it was scanned 3 times as well as a tinsel garland thing. I also went to buy a toothbrush and they didn't even scan it and I don't even have it in any of my bags. So now I lost $4 for things I didn't even buy. Won't be going back. read more

This Dollar Tree is fine and close to where we live. It has a lot of stuff, but I think the one on Val Vista & Williams Field has more stuff. There is a higher turn over in employees here than in the one on Val Vista. Sometimes when there are a lot of people, they should open up additional registers. But, this location is clean inside the store, but sometimes outside, there is a bunch of garbage. Maybe it's windy and garbage blows around. Customer service is so so. Depending on whom you get, they can be nice or neutral. No one is ever really bad in terms of service. read more

First off I would like to say the day time cashier with the gray hair is great she cares about the customer and takes the time to engage. But after tonight I have a different feel about this store together and it's night time staff. The store manager started doing the closing statement at 8:50 and at 8:54 over the intercom announced the "thank you for coming in your dollar tree is closed" as we were walking up to the cash register. I made a comment to the women jokingly originally saying it only 8:55 you do not close til 9. She replied with well if said "were closed at 9 we would have people in here til 9:15". I replied with "8:55 and 9 are still different things". This manager childishly replied "well it's 8:57 now" as she is standing there guarding the door so no more customers can get in. At that same time a customer walks up pulls out his phone shows her time, and she had no choice but too let him after she gave this man grief. (All between 8:57 & 8:58). As I am leaving I say this is all part of the industry i worked retail for years ( too me it doesn't matter the customer is the customer). This is when she flashes her badge well "My name is MARILYN and I am the manager" in an extremely rude way. I would also like to tell everyone she was TRAINING while demonstrating such poor customer service and childish behavior. If anyone has any information on how I could get in contact with a district manger I would like to report this. Being in retail for as many years as I have, treating the customer well is number 1. This store has a ton of stuff, cheap stuff for my class which is awesome but the reason I'm giving only 3 stars is because of the poor customer service. I get that this is probably a low paying job and granted when I was in the employees were younger people, but come on!! I have been going to this location for about a year with nothing positive or negative to say. However, I went there today with my two very young daughters. I had them in a stroller. I was trying to buy some back to school items. There were several people in that section so I set my stroller off to the side where I saw some mostly empty shelves to quickly grab the items that were on my list. I saw the manager walk by and in front of me and heard her complain to another employee about me and my stroller. I had not realized she was trying to stock the shelf. If she had told me that I was in her way I would have moved the stroller, no big deal. Instead she complained to her employees about me loud enough for me to hear. This was very unprofessional and made me feel very unwelcome. We will not be going to this location again. read more

What can I say, I love bargains. It's usually hit or miss with dollar stores but I am consistently pleased with the products, service and cleanliness and this Dollar Tree. I'm almost always greeted when I walk in the door, the merchandise is neat and tidy (not strewn around like some dollar stores), and the inventory is great. 2 thumbs up in my book of cheap places to get your everyday items as well as decorations/seasonal items. read more
