We bought a refrigerator, sectional, chair, Bed frame, mattress, dresser, pop up coffee table, and a custom made table. Getting updates for all of these items to be delivered was a nightmare. I would reach out and they would be unable to provide me with any information regarding a date (even though I was told if I put 30% down I could come in two weeks before I needed the furniture to schedule the delivery). Once the delivery was scheduled the sectional, chair, coffee table, dresser and refrigerator were delivered without any issues. However we ordered a queen size bed frame and mattress and a King size frame was delivered with my queen size mattress. I had to call and complain about the order and the queen size frame was delivered a week later. The table that we ordered was being built (Gascho brand). We ordered a 120 inch table and worked with the store manager to ensure that we got the biggest table that we could find. He ordered us this gorgeous table that we paid for and sent off for building. 120 inches. After finally getting a delivery date the table shows up and it is only 90 inches long. The table we were upgrading was already that size. How does a custom table get build 30 inches too small? The best part about Big Sandy is their delivery people. They are always super nice and helpful and do an amazing job. Everything else seems like the salespeople are doing whatever they can to get the sale and after that who cares what happens with the furniture that you paid for. I still cant get over a fully custom table build being 30 inches too small. So much for the word custom, right?

Although the payment process was lengthy, Beth was right there to walk us thru. We got 2 leather sofas and a coffee table for just a little more than the sectional was originally priced. We were very pleased with this experience, thank you Beth!

I've found the furniture to be priced way too high for its quality and condition. Clothing selection is thin in my sizes, but I still come across a few things now and then that are worth the price to me. But household linens, hard goods, decorative items, etc., are still worth a careful look. I've picked up several beautiful vintage hand-painted china plates at good prices. And this store seems to usually have a good selection of good quality clear glass and crystal serving pieces, mostly at decent prices. And, to be honest, if something really strikes me, I'll still spend a couple dollars extra to take it home with me. The staff I've met have all been helpful and pleasant, even when customers are less than courteous.

Remember when you were a kid and your parents had cheap pressed wood 50 dollar tv stand, and you sprayed textured paint on it then spilled your koolaid on it? Then it spent 25 years in the basement before mom died and you left it out in the alley, in the RAIN? Well you're in luck because this store has it for the low price of 50 bucks!

I rarely ever leave reviews; great, good, or bad...but this has to be said! I encourage anyone who shops at this store regularly or who wants to learn a little bit more about the company culture to read the pictures below, in order. And to be Frank, this actually involves two stores, and the online ordering system, making this a systemic issue with all of Rural King as a franchise. The culture promoted and tolerated within this franchise is disgusting and the lack of professionalism and business knowledge is wholly subpar. I genuinely have no idea how they are as successful and as big of a frandchise name as they are. If I felt this was a one-off, bad luck, special circumstance issue, I would not have made this lengthy review, but the entire experience screams of this being the cultural "norm", being accepted by employees (all the way up to management), and being a systemic problem within the entire franchise that needs immediate attention and swift correction. Thank you to everyone who reads the pictures of the full review below and I sincerely hope that this brings about some change within the company.
