They need more friendly cashiers and managers no greetings they tell me to pack my own groceries because they seen I had my own bags they never stock their shelves always out of stuff for long periods of time long long waiting lines never open up other cashiers the cashiers at this dollar store are the rudest ever so ghetto no training with the customers if it wasn't for customers like myself they wouldn't have jobs the cashiers all look like they hate their jobs be thankful you have a job I need a job really bad and if I had the opportunity to work there I would be so greatful .I go out of my way to Colma dollar store their friendly and inviting it's full stock it's clean and I love shopping there.The one on Geneva is closer to me but I can't stand shopping there read more

I have never been a shop lifter and never been accused of being one. Unfortunately I was profiled like a shoplifter and publicly called out on the intercom by employees like that, and then the same employee pointing a finger on me on the way out. I can not recall the last time I was publicly humiliated like that. Screw this store and its employees. They should not treat people like that. i would honestly give this place a negative star or not star at all. I will never be coming here again and recommend others don't either with the way I was treated. read more

$.99 what more do you need. This is cleanest and well organized 99 cent store I have ever been to. The staff is fairly friendly unless it's close to closing time. It's easy to find what you're looking for, especially since all Dollar Tree's provide the same exact products. read more

I love bargains.... I like to use things and throw out the old and bring in the new. Yes there's a bunch of different people in different social standing..so please be aware that shop lifting is pretty common at this location. I caught a couple of individuals of all ages that were stuffing their pockets/bags/back packs and reminded them that if they continue to take items this dollar shop will end up closing like fresh and easy on 3rd street and will probably be replaced by the goodwill...or salvation army. I just had a horrible experience at the Dollar Tree on Geneva Avenue in Daly City. I went in with a manufacturer's coupon. I picked up a couple of knick-knacks too. I got in line with no one behind me. The cashier couldn't get the coupon to work and told me as if to get me to say "oh okay, never mind." But I didn't and said okay well, can you manually override it or get someone to help you? So he looked around and knocked on the glass at the front of the store to get someone's attention. Meanwhile the line is building and 2nd & 3rd customer starts to get frustrated. At first i thought they would get mad at the cashier so I try to be patient with the cashier as I don't know how much training he's had. I don't say anything but the people behind me start talking more crap and loudly. The cashier doesn't offer to void my transaction to get the line going as we are waiting for someone who knows how to key in a coupon properly to show up. So I said "do you want to call someone to open another line as I think these gentlemen seem to be in a hurry." The really big burley African American guy behind me starts to get excited and talking crap because I'm using a coupon. And the wiry Caucasian guy behind him is just fueling his fire. They start to direct their anger at me because we are at a stand still. And I understand. Normally I would offer to let him go ahead. BTW, the cashier is now trying to make it seem to the 2 guys like its all my fault that I am resolved to use my coupon but they were all so horrible (that's putting it kindly) that I thought whatever and forget it, I'm standing my ground. To be perfectly honest, this is how I felt: they all looked at me an assumed- Asian American mom easy to intimidate. As if I'd back down, shy away, not say a word to defend myself. I only got love from one super cool African American lady in the line so wherever you are - thank you! Nobody else said anything including an Asian lady who saw everything. I said "look I'm not getting mad at the cashier so you don't need to get mad at me." Big burley guy said "I can do whatever I want to!" So I said "okay, go right ahead!" He says "don't talk to me." I said "well don't talk to me!" The cashier actually try's to tell everybody to calm down but directs it at me specifically. The big burley guy says something again so I respond again and get this, the cashier shakes his head and clicks his tongue and said "man, women these days, you all talk back to men!" I said "excuse me?!" Btw, Caucasian guy is now shrinking back like a wall flower after goading on big burley guy. Another line finally opens up and wow, like a miracle, the cashier finally got to coupon to work. Coincidence? He said very sarcastically to me "have a nice day!" The very guy I thought I was protecting when I was trying to be patient with threw me under the bus to the guys behind me trying to "bro" it up with them. Please don't mistake my kindness for weakness. I go to my vehicle and put away my shopping bag. I JUST couldn't let it go. I went back inside and said "what is your name?" No response, so again I asked, "sir, what is your name?" He said, "it's Oscar, O-S-C-A-R!" I asked who was the manager and he adamantly said he was. Seriously? A real manager would never behave that way (at least a properly trained one). I didn't believe it for a second. On my way out, the nice African American lady who spoke up for me was being rung up in the new line that opened up. I stopped just to tell her what Oscar the cashier said about women. The soft-spoken lady cashier who was ringing her up told Oscar to stop and Oscar very insincerely apologized and again with much sarcasm said "you have a good day!" The nice lady cashier told me softly that she was in charge. I was so upset at this point that it didn't even dawn on me until I got home that okay then, where was she in all this? Why didn't she open the 2nd line earlier and reprimand Oscar for speaking to a customer like that. Needless to say this experience has moved me to write my 1st review ever and to actually contact the district Manager. I left a voicemail. So I'll update this review if/when I hear back to let you know how their stores handles a complaint. If you were wondering, the store staff was Latino. This is a pretty diverse store and I hate to make it a race thing but you know I have to call it for exactly what it was. It was a partially racist and partially sexist thing from the two guys behind me and the cashier. If you are a minority AND female, YOU know exactly what I'm talking about. I'm an Asian American female, plus add on that fact that I look like a soccer mom and somehow people think its okay to push you around, treat you like a door mat, cut you off on the road, talk crap like I won't say anything back. Worst customer service ever. The people that works here don't love their job at all. I feel threaten by this cashier her name is Talia; she was really rude and cursed me out at the end of my purchase. I was there to get some cups for an event we were having. I was standing close to the register when this person looked at me and asked if i was ready i nicely said not yet because i was waiting for my friend to bring the rest of the things. After my friend came with the rest of the stuff this person started to throw my things, then she asked in a rude manner how many bags i said two and she was like I don't think thats enough so i will charge for three so I went with it. She wasn't done scanning my things when she pressed that i paid, then she blamed me because she wasn't done scanning the rest of my stuff. She called the manager which came over when i asked the manager for her to finished my transaction, i told the manager i wanted to put a complaint this manager ignored my request, then this girl when and told her friend that i was being a lil (b) her friend came over the register with her on her side to intimidate me. By this time i was already over the situation. They cursed me out and told me to never come back to the store. What type of customer service is this. Good luck going to this dollar tree. read more

oh I love this place so much! the fact that everything is a dollar, I don't think ill ever over spend again lol! but every time I come in here, I always spend more than I should. the fact that they have a dollar tree around the neighborhood now is awesome, I don't need to go all the way to daly city or pacifica anymore. and not just that, people in here are sooo nice! surprisingly, in this neighborhood they have great service compared to any other dollar tree ive been to... kudos to that! read more

I picked up a large order of gardening stuff that I ordered online at this store. A very wonderful lady helped me tracking down all the boxes. Even though this is not the store that is closest to me, I chose to pick up my order here because of the positive review on their service. I was not disappointed. read more

The Dollar Tree store is much nicer for the neighborhood. The previous Savers was loaded with overpriced junk.

The store is okay but products run out pretty fast, but customer service is terrible. Paid for the items and then when I was putting the paid items in my bag, the cashier told me to move that S...Out of the way. I didn't say anything or wanted to argue because it's just $5+ total of items but its a good store but terrible customer service. read more
