Most of the items are slightly discounted from that of larger retailers but with generic brands too that offer an even greater savings opportunity. I did find that most of the prices weren't as discounted as I would have anticipated, which begs the question of their value. They have a lot of relatively new products on hand such as Doritos spicy cool ranch as well as Dirty Dew which came out less than a month ago. Most of the shelves were decently stocked. Items such as food, birthday cards, refrigerated items, cooking utilizes, bath towels and so forth were neatly stored on the shelves. They did have some interesting selections but I was on the hunt for two specific items I suspected they wouldn't have, but that's fine. They had two employees and were cordial. That said, I'm not sure if one of them were training or not b/c they did have a lot of stock that could have been put away. I'm starting to believe many of these savings' places can only afford one person so they get around to it when they want or can. I'm not judging work ethic, just what I see when I come in. Overall, this is Family Dollar and we all know what kinds of products they have. This place is clean with employees' nice employees. If you need something quickly, I advise stopping in however since it's literally next to Food Lion and the prices are about the same, I don't see a real need to stop in. One of the cake toppers "pinged" (employee's terminology) as the white female employee at the cash register, used the bar code on the item to swipe it. At which point, the employee told me that she was unable to sell me the item as it was not in their system and that meant she could not sell it to me. She then turned to her right and tossed the cake topper into the trash can. I was floored. It is better to throw away the item then to sell it? Or even give it to me as she then threw it away? I honestly do not know what to say. It has bothered me since it happened which is why I am posting this. I have shopped at this particular store routinely for the last 18 years and have never had a similar experience. Family Dollar #7847. A very disgruntled and confused patron.

Opening it on your own will get you kicked out. Only a certain amount of people are allowed in at a time so you may have to wait. No large bags or purses are allowed inside so just bring your wallet. They take cash or card. Don't drag the blue bags because they will rip. Saturday's everything is $7, Sunday it's $5. Parking: parking is limited on busy days. The Goose Creek police are there on weekends to help with traffic control and making sure everyone behaves. Don't park in the local business parking spots or you'll get towed. You can line the roadway against the grass closer to the train tracks. Food: Yes! Food trucks are here on the weekend serving out delicious food for hungry shoppers. The staff is really friendly and helpful. You never know what you'll find hidden under the piles so have fun!

But looks like Target is here to stay! I actually do a lot of basic grocery shopping at Target. I'll grab the larger items and meats at Costco and then head over to Target afterwards for my basic pantry items. Also, my husband doesn't usually mind coming here because he can wander around the electronics while I get my shopping done. I'm also a fan of their app which I use while shopping to scan items for discounts. And Starbucks being located inside the store is a big bonus, too!

It's not appealing to shop at a store where the merchandise is all over the floor.

I went into the store to buy two comforters that the website said the store had two of. When every single employee came out of the bathroom at the same time I explained my situation and the lady told me to go back to kids clothes and ask her to help me. I said can you call her and let her know I'm coming and she said no.??? So I left the store, ordered them on line for pick up at the store and got them. Ridiculous!! I bought a shirt for my father in law at the Men's store and the salesperson could not have been more helpful. He was asked to speak as a Veteran at a Fourth of July event and the man doesn't own something red, white and blue.Had to fix that! Great experience. I also bought a cute infant outfit for my neighbor who just had a baby girl. Took awhile as two employees were engrossed in conversation even though I was standing right there waiting to check out. Why still a four you may be asking? I like the quality of their products and they have great sales. I've never seen the same employee twice so maybe they are working on customer service.
