If you're old enough to remember, think of Five Below as Woolworth's meets Spencer Gifts. This is the updated five and dime of our youth. With inflation, it's five and dime, but five bucks and ten bucks. Nothing is priced higher than five bucks, a great deal of merchandise is a buck or two, hence the name. You'll find stuff you need, like cell phone cases and accessories, charging cables, power adapters and the like, you'll find lots of stuff you don't need but can't live without, and you'll find stuff you didn't even know you needed. Are you tired of paying twenty bucks for a lightning cable only to have it break off at the phone end in a few weeks? How about being tied to a three foot power cable? I found a ten foot lightning cable here - five bucks! Posters - okay, usually kid stuff but there's even a few fun ones for adults, like NFL or MLB logos, I once found a poster of Starry Night - how can you van Gogh wrong? Stores are regionalized. Sports stuff for local teams - Badgers, Packers, Brewers, socks, flags, throws, balls and speaking of sporting goods, where else can you find basketballs or soccer balls for five bucks? Playground balls, free weights, and who knows what? The inventory rotates and changes so you end up coming back. Seasonal, too. Summer is beach stuff and winter is snow stuff. Kids stuff, too! Play Dough, stickers, dolls, toys, gadgets, just too much to describe. Trust me - you have to see it to believe it. Penny candy is not gone, just inflated to a dime. You'll find a wide assortment of goodies - fill a bag, ten pieces for a buck. Check it out - and have fun! Fun is what it's all about.

My friends were having a great time looking for items and when one of them decided to try some things on I decided to look a bit harder and found two pairs of jeans- that is not something that normally happens! Not only did the jeans fit great but they were $20 and $24 which in my mind is a great price especially considering they'd be $70-100 regularly. We also browsed the shoes and I happened to find the perfect pair for a wedding I had coming up, so of course I grabbed them. On top of the other finds I also found a small toy for my dog. I ended up with two sets of hair claws/clips, two pairs of jeans, a pair of heels and a dog toy for under $100. While we only interacted with the staff at the register they were also nice and my friends and I all ended up finding a few items here.

I do wish there weren't so many vacant storefronts but I understand malls have changed over the years, which is unfortunate. Bayshore also offers a variety of restaurants, including the Cheesecake Factory, which many of my friends love to go to for their large menu and delicious cheesecakes. My one negative remark that I will make is that I do not like to go to this mall after dark. It doesn't feel very safe to me, so I stick to only going during the daytime hours. Oh... and there is that one time the parking garage collapsed in 2023... I never park in the parking garage- I never liked them to begin with, even before that happened.
