I attempted to go to the Hilton location but somehow I missed they closed. So I opted for this location since it's the closest near by. I am glad I did. The employees were very welcoming from the moment I walked in to the time I walked out. It's a clean dollar general with a little bit of everything inside. It is very on par for the locations down in tennesee where the company is headquartered. This time there wasn't any creeper customers so I will definitely be back

Unfortunately there is very little sun up here in Western NY so it closed down and we were left with this discount store. This is a perfectly nice little secluded store in a quiet part of NW Spencerport, with very nice employees, including a girl who is way too friendly to be working at DG (what's a nice girl like you doing in a bargain discount dollar store like this, etc). They didn't have the water I wanted (they have the crappy kind), but then most of the stores in Rochester don't. The parking lot is nice, and the store isn't a total zoo, so I'll give it a 3 because of the girl in question, and because I quite like Spencerport as a town, city, village, whatever. Chain info: I come to Dol Gen every Saturday to get 5 dollars off 25 (or sometimes off 30), which allows me to stock up on water from Tennessee (which tastes much better than tap water or any other brand of water, to me), and to stock up on tons of cat food for my kids, too. However, some stores (such as this one) sell the wrong kind of water (from Pennsylvania instead), which tastes awful. I go to different Dollar Generals just to mix it up, and so I can put more of them on the Yelp review map, and because it's always useful to know which ones have the good waters vs the bad. And of course Polar General is a place that was founded by Scott Amundsen. If you don't know him, look him up, but the rule is that you have to look him up naked, and take selfies, and post them on Yelp. Sorry. I don't write the rules.

If you get a lot of telesales bothering you, then it's probably from the company Caller General. I…read morecan't stand them either, and don't understand why anyone ever buys anything from them if only on principle, as well as a great many other reasons. This store on the other hand is really great. It has a nice parking lot, just next to Sunoco on the main road out of town heading East from the centre of Churchville. It has everything you might want, except the good water which it is severely lacking, having the crappy PA kind instead, as most 585 stores do. It has plenty of cat food of all varieties, and the cat food is cheaper than it is at any of the main Rochester and Buffalo stores. It was out of "Dad's Dry Food" but that's Dad's problem really isn't it Papa. The employees were young teenybopper boys, which you'd think would be a bad thing, but these were a couple of the friendliest kids in DolGen history! I was really impressed. Somebody raised thems kidses rights! Maybe it's a Churchville thing. It's a tiny posh looking town filled with dog walkers and cute girls, so maybe people are just friendly down in them there these here parts. Who knows. Plus it's close to Bergen, which is named after a city in Norway, which is where a-ha is from, which are a band who sang "Take On Me" which is a friendly sounding song, so it all really ties in together, doesn't it. The ladies that work in this facility act like they own this store…read more It's very annoying. Many times there's no ones at the registers and we're waiting forever. Theres been a few helpful employees which is good but yeah not the greatest cashiers. The overall store is generally very clean and organized though.

It was thirty dollars which seemed like a pretty good deal to me. If i had room at home, I'd have gotten one. I love this store. I can always find something I didn't know i needed. This trip we went because my wife saw they had Dungeon Crawler Carl keychains. She picked up a few and also found a Horror Sticker Book. Walking around the store I noticed they have A Lot of kids stuff. Clothes, books, toys, candy, recreational sports equipment, games, dolls... We usually take our grandkid to one of the bigger stores to buy him a treat, but that changed today. This is our new destination. My favorite thing about the store though is that it's self check out. I appreciate being able to just quickly scan item and go.

Nothing inside had new reduced pricing. I had the lady price check a few items... They she got snippy and said these items aren't actually clearanced, they were just "in those boxes". What's with that??? Overall, Sales seemed inconsistent with other locations.
