Usually I get a pedicure with Elizabeth and now I come for facials with Courtney. This might seem like an indulgence but after the summer I had I needed this. The facial she gives are fabulous, but the arm, shoulder and upper back massage it's a welcome treat and I usually sleep better after having this done. Staff who work here a so lovely and so are the owners. Make appointments kids

After several years of coming here, I still wouldn't go anywhere else. Yes, I could order online or…read morego to Sephora, but Waterlily and Sepora are worlds apart--and why not when we can support local--AND it's actually better?! First of all, the vibe is completely different. Waterlily is an old house that feels cozy and warm. All of their employees are so elegant and classy and have the utmost customer service at heart. They offer spa services, skin products from certain lines (can't say much about them as I haven't explored them really), and only Trish McEvoy and Laura Mercier make up. However, I love Laura Mercier, and a few Trish McEvoy items (on their suggestion) have become staples for me. I won't use this forum to talk about Laura Mercier, but it really is an excellent make up line. For me, I always like to try on new products or just test out some make up for fun when I go in to stock up on something I have run out of, and they are always happy to put something on me. Plus, every time I go, I learn a new technique of some sort. These ladies really know their stuff. It isn't like at Sephora where you get some high school girl who has only been using make up herself for like 2 years and may have managed to memorize a few key facts about the entire store since she's overwhelmed by the surplus of product lines and hasn't been around long enough to try 1/100 of them. The ladies that work at Waterlily are skilled make up artists and fans of make up. They have a strong knowledge of what works given your face structure, strengths and weaknesses, and how to apply the lines they sell. And they often have national make up artists come in. Oh, and also they keep a file on which products you ordered so if you wonder if this new shade will go with anything you have, they can just look it up and say "Yes, this will go perfectly with that cream shadow in x shade you bought" or if you come in for more concealer, but can't remember what color you are, they know. Very helpful! And some of them even remember my name! What store does that?? Recently, I've had a few issues with a certain product line and they are always good about returning or exchanging. However, know that they only offer store credit, not full returns, which is the only drawback of this store.

I put my trust in her to reconstruct my breasts knowing that the outcome is never guaranteed. I could not be more thankful that I chose such a talented, warm and kind surgeon. I'm just shy of 2 months post op and I'm blown away by her work. From the second I met her I knew I made the right choice. Dr Amalfi walks into the room and you feel as though you're already friends and she truly cares about you. I will forever be grateful and I plan to see her for all future work. Shout out to Melissa as well for always answering all of my emails leading up to surgery. Thank you so much!!

I remember how nervous I was to even speak to someone about such a personal journey, let alone show them. Have you ever just gone to your bestie's, swung the door open, plopped down on the couch in your sweats and messy bun, and gossiped while watching the Kardashians? That's what it felt like to be around Dr. Amalfi. Her vibe is that of instant comfort, like I wasn't sharing my deepest insecurities. My consult was filled with laughter and getting to know each other while I tested out sizes/discussed how my most cherished tiny humans destroyed my body along with my self esteem. After having children and working so hard to get my body back, I barely could look at myself naked, and here I was, totally comfortable in front of her; no cares about my truffle shuffle at all! Her staff was incredible, I never felt rushed, not once. The day of, the nurses were the same; I was comfortable and cracking jokes, they calmed my nerves and I knew I was in good hands. Now, the nitty gritty; does the post-op recovery suck? Yes, yes it does. I am always on the go and terrible at resting. But I was prepared; I knew exactly what to expect, and my pain control was so well thought out and I felt like my needs were always met. Now, I have had many surgeries in my life due to a medical condition, so I know my way around a recovery. This was the first time I've had the choice, the others were non-optional. Comparing the two, I have never been more prepared, had such a comprehensive pain management and recovery plan, and had this level of enthusiastic support. If you're still reading, I know you want to know about the mommy makeover results. Giirrllllll, that was the one thing I was not adequately prepared for! I made sure I had realistic expectations, especially given my weird 2nd cousin twice removed pair of melons I handed her. My husband will confirm that upon seeing them for the first time, I looked at them, looked at him, and screamed "OMG YOU SEE THESE BOOBIES?!". And my stomach was flat, I was in awe. But she listened, my natural shape was still there. I had this fear of looking fake, when I just wanted to be me. Well, she delivered. What I wasn't expecting was what the months to come would bring. As my body healed and everything settled, my confidence came back. Stronger than it was before by a ten fold. I wasn't ready for this to make me love myself in a way I hadn't before. I mean, I was washing my face twice a day and putting lotion on my skin. What I mean is, I WANTED to care for myself in a way I hadn't before. I even carried myself differently. Even though no one could tell I had anything done, because I was real good at tucking my tummy into my mom jeans, I WAS DIFFERENT. I felt stronger. I was taking more chances in life, I finally had the confidence to. I had no idea that I'd find myself in all of this! I still looked like me, it was as natural as I wanted the results to look, more than I could've imagined, and I was finally acting more like myself than I had in years. It sounds cliche, but this 100% changed my life! Being finally happy in my own skin and erasing all the space in my brain of negative self talk, left room for me to grow and step into my own. Even further, I had gone for 2 years to pelvic floor therapy to help with my abdominal muscle separation and had that corrected along with my makeover. I went from living at my chiropractor's office due to incredible lower back pain to none. I didn't know that tightening that muscle would relieve my chronic back pain, but here we are! At first, I was quiet about what I had done, I wanted to keep it a secret. But now, I am so proud of what it has helped me do, so far beyond a makeover, that I want to empower any woman out there to put herself first! And also, to get used to giggling every time to catch yourself naked in the mirror, because it's going to be THAT GOOD! Thank you Dr. Amalfi for helping me find ME again!

Ulta....I come to you when I am going to get in trouble for your boxes coming to the house…read more Vacillating between the Henrietta location and this one, I have decided I go to each for separate reasons. The reason for this one? (Oprah voice) THE M.A.C. LIIIIIIIINEEEE. This location has a great selection for their M.A.C. beauty supply, letting you swatch the hell out of their lipsticks (mattes are the best, love the Dubonnet, Brick-O-La, and Paramount). This isn't a review for M.A.C., but if you are flirting with trying it, start here. Their foundation is one of the few that doesn't make my face crack like Michael Jackson's after a long day of teaching. They do have a Benefit Brow Bar, but their Benefit selection is slightly smaller than Henrietta's. That is Henrietta's main star, I prefer the waxing specialists there, but if you need a quick wax between shopping, get it girl (or boy). The consultants are willing to assist you, but are not as pushy in the other locations. I do enjoy all of the cashiers I have dealt with, and they are willing to look things up on your account (points, etc) if needed. I am an Ulta woman vs. Sephora because you can still get prestige brands juxtaposed to drugstore brands, and they have middle of the road stuff for those who are looking to up their pigmentation. I only leave Ulta half poor. Sephora just robs me.

I came in not really thinking much, I knew I wanted some color added to my hair, and help with my eyebrows. What I received was top notch service with lots of recommendations, and products I can use at home. I ended up getting color highlights added to my hair, Shelby was awesome and was able to help me out. I was more than satisfied with the finish product. Even though I came in, last minute notice with no appointment, Shelby took her time, and talked me through the whole process. Afterwards, I did end up buying the shampoo, conditioner, and was able to get a full size hair mask product that I am currently in love with. I also was serviced at the brow bar by Asia Razak. She was more than welcoming to fit me into her schedule for that day as well. I was able to get my eye brows tinted a darker shade of brown, and I left with the right shade of Benefit's brow pencil. All in all my trip down to Rochester that day was totally worth my experience here. I do plan on going back and booking an appointment with Asia for my next brow appointment.
